of course indestructable claws that can slash through everything, just one more trick up Shepard's sleeve.
Harbinger: I'm Assuming Direct Control
Garrus: Commander don't you want the Cain to handle this
Shepard: (launching himself at the giant T-800 fetus shaped reaper) nope i got this, we'll be out of here in time for dinner
(you see a flashes of metal as Shepard bounces around, a minute later the Reaper falls into the core and Shepard takes out a cheap cigar and starts chewing on it)B)

Edit:  of course no Cyclops he's kind of a whiny B**tch

I'm playing my fist ME2 Vanguard and holy crap I love this class; I should be asleep, but I can't stop owning mercs. It's getting harder to pick a fav class now... I still totally love Infiltrator, but Adept and Vanguard are damn near tied for top spot - Vanguard has the edge on both right now though. Just wow.

yeah Vanguard is pretty sweet I'm still lean pretty heavily towards soldier in 2 but that's mostly because i can train my soldier to learn Reave, thanks to the Advanced Training option in the Lab, which i think should be put into Liara's repertoire for 3 it's a sick move

Once you join the Vanguard, there is no going back :bandit:

Not romancing Liara with a femshep is really weird for me, as is not romancing miranda with a mshep. 0-o I think I have overplayed the game so much elements have becoem habitual.

Same. I think big part plays that Asari are only female (shape) so you kinda feel better romancing her with female character rather than male. <3 Female Shepard

My prefered class as well. I tried the Adept and some of the others in ME1 to unlock the bonuses when starting a new game (wanted my sniper rifle) but I always chose a Vanguard.

I really do like this class. It's solidly edged out Adept, but is just a little behind Infiltrator for me. Not to say that won't change as I get used to it more. I'm really liking the close combat and damn can I  clear a room quick. I'm sure Insanity will be different, but it's cool to be this fast nonetheless.

I'm also experimenting on squadies. I never thought I'd say it, but Mir and Jacob are useful, as would be any team paring with pull and unstable warp. They rip em down, I blow through them. There's is just someting about taking out a heavy mech in 6 seconds or less. lol

Hello fellow Liara lovers!

Good to be here today, waiting on this epic game coming out in a few weeks. Cannot wait to reunite with arguably the best character in video games today. < 30 days left

You should play an adept and take Miranda with you for LotSB. Your cooldowns are so quick (if you do it post-SM) that you can be setting up your own warp bombs and setting up Liara and Miranda for their own ones so quickly that by the time you're done with them you can probably cast another one for yourself again.

Did the adept run already - took Samara. Being on the same level with Liara was pure awesome. Vasir didn't stand a chance. It was one of my quickest runs and I was playing hardcore. Given some of they new powers, weapons and melee it's going to be fun figuring out my fav class in ME3. With Liara in the squad, it changes things up quite a bit.

Not just female shaped, but acctually are Female, as explicitly stated in the ME2 codex titled The Galactic Codex: Essentials Edition 2183 says that "while asari have only one gender, they are not asexual like single-celled life—all asari are sexually female"

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Asari    *unfortunately its a paraphrasing of the exact entries all smashed together*

Mono = one
Gender = you know what this means

mono-gendered = One gender

Mono-gendered is a discriptive term that coexists with them being all sexually female, it does not conflict.

In my opinion, confusion arises from Liara's talk of not "exactly being a woman". What she means is shes not exaxctly like a human female, for which the word "woman" is used.  HuMan, WoMan, Man.

/asari biology rant ;P To limit confusion;P

I disagree there is any inherently "better" gender to romance Liara. Personal preference is all it amounts to.
All should experience Liara love!

Being female however doesn't mean their "azure" is a pleasure box.

Though popping the pooper while giving a back massage seems to be the rough idea. That or a cuddle charge from the mindmeld causing a fruit explosion for humans.

Acctually, it can mean that the Azure can be. Is it not described as an erotic zone explicitly in LotSB? ;P

and popping the pooper? lol, so their is an aversion to her "azure" but not her pooper? lol. This I do not understand;P

It all seems natural to me, but i think some get insulted or embarrased by the idea of her having certain functional parts.

Although she is female she's not human. Same sex relationships don't have any real meaning to Asari. The fact that they can use any sapient DNA to reproduce is pretty cool in it's own right. As far as 'better gender' I don't think so.

In my Sheps case it all came down to better option. I went with the 'we're both women' in my first play through. Shep and me as a player really listened to her explanation, soaked up the info on the Asari when investigating and she kind of hooked me. I was interested enough to take the leap and see where it would go. She bested me by way of curiosity. Her awkward charm didn't help my resistance any either. And she was blue and cute!

Basicly the way I viewed my Shepard and Liara's relationship build up is a romance that just started to happen and kinda took them each by surprise.

They started to talk and grew on eachother, thought some things were humorus that each other said, and respected eachother for what they can do and who they are, and felt more and more comfortable with eachother.

They both knew it was strange, and they were quite different...but it was just kinda happening like that. Perhaps opposites attract? I dunno, but I get a personal kick out of the differences at times( to have interesting stuff to talk about), but that might just be me. There is more to it, but I'll spare you the sappy details;P

For example, One private joke that I pretend that My Shepard and Liara have is that "The biggest thing they have in common is their eye color" aww the cuteness of it all;P

I agree, Liara is great with either sex and she is even great just as a friend.

EW Shepard fell for Liara but this confuses her on so many levels. Her story is my first fan fiction attempt.

PV Shepard cares about Liara as a friend but loves Ashley, although he strayed with Miranda. This will be my first play when ME3 comes out.

Cinder loves Kaidan but wants to kill him at the moment and she could care less about Liara. She doesn't hate Liara, she just doesn't understand or trust her. Not sure how Cinder's story will end in ME3.

Different Shepards, Different stories. How I love this game! Image IPB

My Canon has purple eyes; pre-birth Eezo exposure. I think Liara is just as caught up in Sheps eyes as Shep is in hers. lol

"Most of the time these things don't make sense. They just happen and we get swepped up in the storm."

Again, my fist playthrough. That line gave me chills because at the time I'm like; WTH is going on... lol. I just fluked on the right dialog options I guess; though I was picking from the best RP standpoint I could. The only thing I really wish I could have done (for all LI's) at the point where Liara expressed interest, was ask her if we could shelve it for a later chat; an 'about us' option on the wheel till after Virmire where Liara could then force it. Just one more coversation and my giving in would have had a much better immersive feel to it. Letting us put it off would have felt like we had more control and we were making an informed decision, not rushing blindly into something with someone who may turn out to be a sleeper agent; especially with how stong Liara comes on to Shep. After confronting Benezia and seeing Liara's loyalty, I would have brough it up.
