I'm all for replay value and so I wouldn't mind the option of bond/wedding ceremonies or babies (blue or otherwise) in ME3 at the epilogue. I just don't want it in my playthrough. Maybe in a few years I'll go to play the game again and I'll create a new Shepard with Liara and (s)he'll want them.
Yes. Results should be in the epilogue only, but to get a specific result, some talk about the direction Shep and the LI decide to go has to take place during the game. Without it, there would be nothing to go on and thus no epilogue.
However, for those who remained faithful to their ME1 LI, put up with the VS and Liara in all their ****iness, there should be a dialog interactive wedding/bond ceremony as a reward for holding on - if they choose marriage. It was a long wait, so why not give their Sheps that soul mate achievement and a little fun chitchat with friends and family.
I'd even pay for it as an optional DLC so those that want the shooter don't have to pay for the plot/subplot tie-ups.
How comical 'the wedding mission' could be. The savior of the universe can't get his/her crap together for a wedding... Can't find the rings/something bond specific. Can't find Wrex: a Krogan lost in a church/bond place. Garrus is drunk; how do you sober up a Turian. The cold feet scene. Hannah and Aethyta (if Sheps a renegade (got it from mom) there could be trouble with the Krogan Asari... then again, where is Sheps dad (gone? passed away?), and why are Aethyta and Hannah sneaking off. lmao.
Ridiculous, but funny to think about.

It was just a poke at PMC, not the game in itself.
I love that the game is so versatile that in all likelyhood both PMC and I will get our prefered endings.
(even though mine is obviously the superior ending...

Admiral Anderson: Shepard I am your Father
Shepard: No that's not possible like seriously how would that be possible I'm pretty sure i would have known that, and plus i'm kinda a whitey, I mean like i wish you were but you just can't be
Anderson: Yeah well it was worth a try
( a cough comes from off stage both Anderson and Shepard turn towards it as the camera follows)
Darth Vader: I think you stole that one from me
Anderson: wait you're real
Darth Vader: Yeah and I can... *see's pistol pointed at his face* what's that for
Shepard: Godddammit I can't even get a day off on my wedding *fires*
Vader falls forward
Anderson: Shepard that was.... um... that was....
Shepard: WHAT ANDERSON!!!!!
Anderson: that was actually your father
Shepard: Wait what....
Anderson: nah just kidding it was Legion
Legion: Shepard Commander, we are currently calculating thanks to James Earl Jones for Voiceover work

My Bestie is Garrus. Maybe Liara can put Feron in a dress. I'm not sure she has any other close friends. Who knows what the bond ceremony consists of, anyway. There may not even be a 'bond party' like there is a wedding party.

I decided to go through my insanity run as a near pure paragon and I'm getting new dialog again. Conversation with Mordin - my pushing him on the ethics of the Genophage. He really made a good string argument. I had no choice but to say he was right and Sheps dialog was different. Sorry, didn't note it exactly, but it was along the lines of;
'Well, when you put it that way, you have a point. Seeing all this and being able to own it... not many people could do that Mordin.'
I may not like ME2s sloppy plot but they sure did a hell of a job on some of the character conversations. Pure paragon for Garrus was another wow too.
Another note: Thane's LM in the interrogation room, Shep can say 'I'm a Specter' after the Lawyer walks in; no renegade points (I personally love saying that at EVERY opportunity and shouldn't be punished for it). Just don't pick 'sweeten the pot' or the renegade line and you should see the options on the right after the Lawyer makes a comment.

Well, since it made people laugh all is forgiven!
With my headcanon, if they were to have a union ceremony then Liara and her cousin, Sibila, would be running around like crazy in my head planning the asari ritual. Those two scheming together can get pretty loud ... Of course, then I would have to think up that asari ritual and given how I am not a wedding gal this would drive me nuts.

I'm not either, really. I'm not much for dresses or heels either given my height, but I'm not Shep and I can get pretty creative in my mind when I want to. When I got married, Dani wore the dress and I was good in slacks and a blouse. Two galls in wedding gowns (to me) would have been odd. And expensive...
I'll let that part of my headcanon blur my own reality. FemShep can just wear her armor or blues. lol

I like femshep out of 14 playthroughs 12 are femshep. If I could change the language on 360 version, ratio would be more even.(Msheps with european accents *drools*)
The femshep thread gets a little too ****y, for my taste. In other threads, you get the male chauvenists pigs, who hate on femshep, and then you get the fem****'s hating on mshep.
And of course the Liara hate..

Two things that should not be in the game are a wedding ceremony, or Shep's LI announcing that she is prego.
So you want the pro-wedding/kids to be limited to you don't have to be? That's not choice.
I disagree. It should be a path choice depending on dialog options. If you didn't want blue babies, then you didn't have to pick that path. Also, there should be an option to reaffirm that path in ME3; if BW bothered to go there at all, so it leads to an ending that suits everyone's choices.
Obviously there are limits and romance is not a focus of this story, but it is the 'perk or reward' for our hero and thus does deserve a little attention. Happily ever after can easily happen with or without wedding, with or without blue babies.
I'm fine with that sort of thing in an epilogue depending on Shepard's dialogue choices, I just don't think there should be any wedding ceremony in the game. It would be impossible for Bioware to pull that off without it coming across as incredibly mawkish. There also should not be any pregnancy announcement in the game for similar reasons, as well as the fact that the pregnant LI would now need to leave Shepard's squad.
I was wondering how do you think liara would react to Shepard if she/he died again. she is just got herself back together. do you think she would lose it or would she go on a Reaper, husk, etc. killing spree.
If Shepard dies it is going to be in dealing the final blow against the Reapers, so I think a Reaper killing spree would be out of the question. She'd be devastated again but would probably devote herself entirely to her work. She'd mourn for a year or two but eventually time would heal those wounds, and she'd be ready to meet someone else. Shepard would never be forgotten, but I think she'd eventually she would move on and see someone else.

Well, they could always do it the TOR way, it's which you can get married in 6 hours.

I'm not the marryin' kind period ... but I've been to many weddings that were amazing. I would just hate to see the price tags. I think some could have just bought a small island and called it a day.
Liara loves the asari rituals, loves explaining how they started and what they mean. And if a union was agreed upon, she would never agree to a human "wedding" ... it would be an asari ceremony. That means that poor Shepard would have to follow whatever the custom dictates. I'm already laughing at what that might entail. There are a few customs that Liara has taught EW in my headcannon and some were on the disasterous side.
But if others dream of Liara wearing this then that's cool ...

'We could die, lets get together.'
'The whole universe; or most of it, could be destroyed. Lets stay together if we survive'
I don't think anyone wants a wedding/bond ceremony just before 'jumping through a relay' to the final mission. I'd take the booty call and promise though... and then my 'happily ever after' epilogue.
with blue babies! dammit!

Our Liara's are very much alike, it seems; the pride in her ME1 dialog was hard to miss. It would be a Bond Ceremony for my FemShep as well; She tried to resist the relationship at every step, after all. Had never once planned on being with anyone seriously, (let alone an alien female), or getting married . Liara gets what Liara wants now though. Shep's hooked. Around Liara (when not in battle), her emotional control and resolve falter. She's totally wrapped around that little blue finger.

Liara T'soni in wedding Dress by ~maitreikrit
Although I'd prefer it if weddings aren't in the game at all, *if* there is some sort of marriage option I'd rather that Liara wore something appropriate for her culture, with an Asari ceremony as well. In that case she should wear something appropriately alien & exotic rather than the white wedding dress.
Maybe something like this?
