Or maybe she just decided against it because complaining about sand in your hair is a little bit silly when you're in a war zone and all that.she thought better of saying so to create curiosity in Shep maybe

Very involved social and physical situations are obviously taxing for her. She seems exactly like an introvert, who does not thrive on external stimulus. She doesn't like crowds or crave excitement. She is the only ME1 squadmate that is placed in isolation, tucked away in a dark corner of the Normandy by the med bay. This indicates a predisposition for solitude. Introversion describes preference, not discomfort.Turbo_J wrote...
Uncomfortable and somewhat awkward in general, yes. She is socially challenged in some respects and crowds bother her. I'm the same way, but I'm far from shy or mute. She is simply out of her comfort zone, but she does not shy away from speaking her mind or standing up for herself. She is not an introvert either. She has no problems expressing her feelings or chatting about her culture or her work to Shepard or; save the romantic feelings part, the crew. She's just a loner. There is a big difference.

With the game going gold yesterday we might actually make that date ... I was starting to worry that the date might be pushed out.

I agree with you, good sir/mam.
'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen certain 'adult' images of Liara.(On sites like deviantart.)Does anyone else find them repulsive?

You just described my canon FemShep. Again, not an introvert. A choice to not get close to people or not like crowds does not mean you lock yourself away from people you are close to or eventually get close to. Nor does it mean you are completely self absorbed. Liara is not self absorbed. Absorbed or a little obsessive, yes, but she does not internally dwell on her own feelings and concerns 24/7 without ever sharing... If she were that way, she would have never joined the squad, would be pretty useless as a teammate if she had, and she never would have hit on Shep. Shep would have had to push the issue.
So everyone stays in one place and never moves... on your ship maybe.
I took Liara with me everywhere after Therum because she was a biotic and because I didn't trust her at first. She was quite chatty with the squad and with people I 'helped' or talked to along the way. And she killed things in crowds all the time. She was not a social butterfly, but I like to think she grew as the story progressed.
Like I said, you see it your way, I see it mine. It's just different, not wrong.

I thought obscene usage of a saiayn's tail was bad, but some of what've seen in regards to mass-effect.

I am quite suprised you felt like that. Personally for me the whole fact that she was Benezia's daughter and any trust issues felt completely forgotten in the game itself. Which is a shame since I felt like the romance could have had a little more conflict in it.

What I was trying to say is that maybe the developers were trying to make a point by putting Liara all by her lonesome instead of out and about like everyone else on the ship. I'm not saying she wouldn't enjoy a good conversation, or that she can't make friends, or that she is too meek to contribute to a discussion or voice her opinion. I just don't believe she is the type of person that would go out of her way to find someone to talk to for funsies, because she doesn't depend on external stimuli for fulfillment like an extrovert would.

"Hello. My name is Liara T'Soni. You killed my mother. Prepare to die"

In my headcanon this created issues but unfortunately in game it was never addressed.

Depends on your dialog choices. I confronted Liara on Noveria (hours of game time after picking her up = days of pay time); asked her who she'd shoot if it were a choice between me and Benezia... I'd say the trust thing was still hanging out there as an unknown element at that time.
I, and many others agree with you on the romance issues. There could have been more conflict and it should have been possible, as Shepard, to put it off until later in the story. A simple 'can we talk about it later' option that opened up an 'about us' option on the wheel (which would reopen the romance dialog) available until just before Ilos. If not dealt with, then during the scene by the lockers, the potential LI would confront you. If there was more than one, the choice scene. If only one, then it would be the last chance to express feelings or stay friends.
BW didn't learn from this rush romance issue because ME2 is the same way.

You keep arguing with my headcanon. You realize that is like talking to a rock and expecting it to change it's stance or opinion, right? As for insulting my intelligence by suggesting Google for research, thanks for that. I'm well aware of what defines an introvert, but I just don't see Liara that way. You do. That's fine. I'm not going to try to change your view any more than you could possibly hope to change mine. It's yours; you own it and it's perfectly legit; for you.
You should read my sig. It's meaningful.

That was a nice dialog (the one on Noveria), but I felt the subject needed more than jus that, Because it felt like that aside from her lines in her very first conversation onboard the Normandy the issue of trust was ignored.
Off-topic. But how many in here are going to have early-access to the multiplayer beta tomorrow? And how many are going to try out the multiplayer beta in genereal. This is asked to all that play the PC version.
