I just don't get Liara and Miranda, at least not to the point of fixation it seems to be in the alternate pairing 'verse.

They are both hot. It isn't really any more complicated than that.

I also don't see those two getting together or having a threesome. I think they'd get along well enough, just not in that way. While I think Miranda could fall within Liara's 'type,' since some versions of FemShep that she falls for have similar personalities as Miranda, Miranda strikes me as heterosexual. And even if she is bisexual (no evidence for that so far) I don't think Miranda is the type that likes to share.

Aren't all the characters in ME3 bisexual now all of a sudden?  I thought I heard that somewhere, that femshep and manshep can romance anyone they want or something...

Edit for ToP:

Not by me, found by google!

Not true, me2 romances are exclusive to imports.

Yes, but as she explains they are not offspring of the union. The child would have no human DNA.

Would you much rather have some freaky hybrid?

Beside Asari look pretty human already.

Well, some traits are taken and past down. What kind, I still don't know. But I doubt nothing is taken from the father, besides an on switch for the baby making machine.

Romance wise, for those that played LOTSB, I do want the ability to have her move into your room early (if you could do the same with ME2 romance characters). I do want them to talk about their future, while still learning about each other. Since they're in a long relationship, we should start learning things they wouldn't talk to anyone about. The doors should be more open. Like I want to know more about Liara, since honestly, we don't get to learn much about her past. Her relationship with her mother. Or her what she thinks about her race. Or her time as an information broker.

What I don't want is discussing "Are you still interested in me?", which leads nowhere till the end of the game.

Another thing I want discussed is the fact that Shepard is going to die, and how Liara's going to deal with that. Liara wanted Shepard back, and wants a promise that he's always coming back. But the fact of the matter is, one day, Shepard is going to die. And she's going to have to deal with that for roughly under a thousand years. Eventually, she's going to have to move on, and then move on again.

It's something that would bother my Shepard. That she'll outlive him. Though I'm more bothered by the fact that he'll just be one of many. That Shepard will be just blend in with the bunch. Especially if you're the type that believes in the afterlife. If you believe in soulmates, you're clearly not it by boyfriend/girlfriend number 6, and marriage number 3.

The subject of Liara outliving Shepard could make for a good scene. Perhaps (as suggested) near the endgame. Shepard can mention that even if he survives, Liara will still one day come to terms with his death.

And yes. We need more knowlegde of Liara's background or hear about some event that happend in the past. I always said that.

Again with Liarra outliving Shepard...this has been discussed between them in ME1. There was an option to ask Liarra about how the asari deal with the imminent loss of their bondmates. She would reply that the Asari has taken a rather philosophical approach to this aspect...they do not feel sorry for the inevitable loss of their partners...they try to enjoy and remember the time they have together. And since a true union with an Asari is more than just a physical relationship...(Let our minds join) a part of their partner still lives within them. I am guessing that goes for Liarra as well.<3

I think they were insinuating that when Shepard died, Liara
didn't look back and remember the time they had together.  She grieved,
mourned and went to great lengths to bring Shepard back because she
couldn't let them go.  That doesn't seem to fit with the Asari
philosophy that Liara described in ME1.

are you really complaining? If she hadn't done that...there wouldn't really be a ME2 to play! I am joking...of course she did. She is just 108 years old...which means she is really still very young by asari standards and cannot take a proper philosophical view of life. And she helps bring Shepard back even when she isn't the LI. She does that for their friendship and for the sake of every species in the galaxy. In the end of the comics when Cerberus Scientists pour over Shepard's body she even argues against tampering with the dead. Thats one more reason for me to make her the LI.

Not all Asari are the same and to illustrate my point a quote from a character we all know and love "People are not summarized for easy reference in the manner of the elves are live pointy eared people who excel at poverty"

I haven't seen thaaaaat much love for it in the fandom. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

I'm not saying it's everywhere, just that whenever the subject of alternate pairings for Liara come it, the few people who do contribute to the subject are advocating Liara and Miranda.

I think the love for it lies in that both women are intelligent and ruthless, but at the same time they are not evil and have a compassonate side to them.

That and they both look great.

But when it comes to alternative pairing, I support Liara/Miri and Liara/Kaidan. Those are the characters I could see her with if not with Shepard.

* From a friend out there, PMC65, told me that there was someone looking to form an all asari team for co-op. If you were serious, please contract me... I would love to join. I am also post military so hopefully I will be an asset to the team. :-)

Thanks - asari loving fool....
