I see it more like this. Ardat yakshi syndrome begins at puberty around 40 years old which is about 13 years old for humans. A 60 year old Asari is equiviant  to an 18 year old Human. The problem here is that Liara considers herself  "barley an adult" at 106 years old, which also indicates 18-20. Although 106 = 25 seems more realisic considering her career history and education level.

But asari live about 1000 years, while humans about 100.

This is something I think about quite a bit (probably too much). For instance we have several variants of 'maturity' both in terms of years-old and emotional maturity. I'm thinking that given their longer lifespans Asari might have more connotation to maturity/puberty than humans do. Plus a lot of the Asari ageing process seems to be based on behaviour rather than age per se.

So being an Ardat yakshi would reasonably coincide with puberty. Going to college/university coincides with being closer to an adult frame of mind but not quite at full maturity with full maturity some time later. I have seen a simplified formula that says it's 100 Asari years for every 20 human years but there's probably some give and take in that.

Looking at what happens in ME3 I think I'd be happy if both Liara and Shepard surviving ME3. After that I'd really like them to settle down together. This means the shadow broker ship has to go (What, you don't think Liara would willingly give up her Shadow Broker business would you?). I'm counting on Cerberus to take care of the Shadow broker ship.

Afterwards, and I think EVERY Liara fan will agree with me on this, I want bondmate ceremony!

Little blue children would be nice but if it's impossible (possibly due to Liara's age) then I wouldn't really mind.

For me this all even 200+ years life spawn is very unrealistic portrayel ( Immortal beings in fantasy universe make me laugh) . Even I in my short life spawn tend to think a lot about existance and meaning of life. The kind of knowledge and conclusions one can come to in 200+ years let alone 1000, with properly working brain... They would just have to be a WHOLE DIFFERENT level. I think I wouldn't even talk to humans for example, would consider it like talking to a 3 year old. I just cant see how can a person ( in our sense ) can be sane after living that long. :)

I cheated on Liara with Miranda in ME2 but I had to admit when it came to the parts in LotSB where the former lovers chatted, I felt the guilt from cheating, Liara's feeling of being betrayed and the jealousy raging inside my Shep whenever she mentioned Feron.

I was so decided on dumping Liara but she's proven to be one of the fully developed characters of ME whom I could sympathize with. She definitely matured since the first game which is why I decided not to end the relationship and now I'm excited to see how my choices play out in the third game. I know, I could dump Miranda anytime through talking to her in the Normandy but then I couldn't. My Shep loves Miri and Liara and he has one hell of a storm to face in ME3.

hm you know i always wondered about this but if you romanced liara and stayed loyal to her through me2 and at the end of me3 got married and had kids, she is going to watch shepard get old,and die :( do you think she would ever find some one else? i wonder if BW would do a "long after the war" type thing were they show how the future life of shep would play out off his or her choice from all 3 games and what love intrest they had

btw i always thought the bioshock good ending would be perfect for my shep with him and liara and there many many kids!

I'd love a sort of epilogue at the very end of the game that shows Shepard in, say 50 years (Shepard is only 30, with people reaching ages of 150 and Shepard will probably get much older because of his cybernetic implants) an 80 year old human would still look like a current day 40 year old (I think). Naturally this should show Shepard/Liara having a quiet life together, wether or not it should include kids, I don't REALLY care about it, would be nice but if impossible I won't whine about it.

I don't know why but I'm getting really jealous feelings thinking about possible feelings from Liara to Feron so I would NOT want to see Liara in say 500 years with another partner, even though she'll never forget Shepard and he'll always live on inside her, I wouldn't want to see Liara with another partner. Call me weird or jealous, that's just how I feel about this.

I would want Liara to find someone else after Shepard, it would make me sad to think Liara just stayed on her own after. Feron did make jealous though, which was stupid for my one Shep who cheated with Thane (his boring romance made me appreciate Liara even more).

^ This, also want to add that humans live up to 150 years up in ME. I also think our Shep might live longer too because of her/his cybernetics.

Some people ENJOY not moving on, more than finding some flawed replacement. ^_^ Just saying.

I'd love to see Liara come to Shepard mid-game and inform her that she is pregnant. I got the idea after playing LotSB during the scene where Liara says something to the effect of "I always need to know you're coming back" and Shep's response of "I need something special to come back to".

I think Liara, either consciously or subconsciously, could have thought it was a good idea to have Shepard's child then because: 1) It would secure a piece of Shep if she doesn’t survive; and 2) it would indeed give Shepard something special to come back to.

Anyway, that's the dream. Mostly I want the one scene where I have to decide whether to save the unvierse or Liara.. and depending on my past choices, through all three games, get the opportunity to save both.

I have a feeling a child scenario might just be possible since we all saw a child in the gameplay videos. They wouldn't put children in the game for nothing!!

Yeah that would be an epic scene, if by the course of your actions you'll have to choose between Liara and Shepard.

My Shepard would never hope for Liara to remain unattached for the rest of her life after Shep passes. She just wouldn't be that selfish. It's not as if Liara would ever forget what they had together. Each to their own, I guess.

And moving on doesn't mean forgetting

Imo, moving on WITHOUT forgetting is even worse.

Well, let's say Shep dies of old age (~150, or due to all the modifications, 200 yrs.old), she'd still have ~700 years left and it'd be sad and unfair for her to be alone all that time. It'd be natural if she eventually had a lover. However, after having children with Shep I don't think she'd "settle down" with anyone else but would probably keep a companion.

On the other hand, maybe it's not even possible for Liara to have children yet. If so, it'd make sense if she eventually got together with someone else and started a family. She'd still keep her/his memory close though.

I have a very strong feeling Cerberus is the one to go after Liara at Hagalaz.  Which, to me anyway, is a major reason why she is now with Shepard.  This is why.....link  If I can ever figure out how to put pictures on my post, I would have.  :)

EDIT: I finished off another run last night or what I am doing with that Shepard anyway.  This was a Shepard that stayed faithful to Ash, but the comment is the same if you romanced Liara or not.

That's why I only have her with E.W. Shepard ... I can't even stand seeing her with other Shepards, even ones I created. I've watched Youtube videos with other Shepards and when she says her lines, I'm like "What? How could you?" Posted Image  "Liara! get away from that imposter!" Then when I go back to my Liara game and she stands there all smiling ... "I got your number blue missy! And how could you kiss that ugly ass dorky looking Shepard? Really? At least if you are going to cheat on me ... pick someone cuter!"

I know, I know, it's just a game. She isn't real, I get it. Sorta Posted Image

I'm hoping that after Shepard is gone she finds someone else, settles down and has her blue babies, but I don't like thinking about it.
