Obviously depends on your head canon, but on an emotional level I'd say Garrus. Potentially Kasumi and Mordin too, if they had the chance to spend a bit of time together.
On a professional level I'd add Kaiden and Samara, but I don't see Liara and them bonding much over anything but their current mission. And there might be a bit of conflict potential if you're playing FemShep.

Of the others, Wrex and Zaeed are violent guns for hire (allthough Liara has doubtlessly a lot of respect for what Wrex is trying to do nowadays) and Grunt is just violent.
Miranda and Jacob are Cerberus cheerleaders, Jack is unstable, Legion is a robot of unknown motivations, Thane is a dying contract killer full of regrets, so they're all out.

I have no idea about Tali tbh, could see it either way.
Liara and her were in a similar sitiuation when they came to the Normandy and both can be quite the nerds, so they might have bonded over that.
On the other hand they come from very different cultures with a lot of historical baggage between them and Tali can be very reserved and react in all kind of unpleasant ways when it's about her race.
Also huge potential for jealousy when playing ManShep.

Holy hell. On my most recent ME1 playthrough I barely crossed the 25 hour barrier. Maybe because I used a soldier with assault rifles modded with pretty much all damage increase mods available that made me pretty much cruise through any opposition.

Now on ME2, 12 hours played and I just finished Horizon. Which means it'll soon be time to go to Illum to speak with Liara there. Which isn't particularly satisfying now that I think about it. Ahh well, I'll just keep looking forward to Lotsb, which I'm saving for later:)

For my canon playthrough I'd say it was probably Garrus. They seem to get along well enough, and while I use all my squadmates for different missions, I had them both together on my run through Noveria and during the final battle with Saren/Sovereign.

Now, for me anyway, it's not the combat that takes time. In ME1 it is deciding what path to take in conversations, inventory organizing and driving over lots and lots of hills in search for every salvage/mineral node out there. In ME2 it is, once again, the conversations, then visiting all planets to fill out that little % counter and deciding what my armor should look like. These are my words of wisdom. Or sillyness. Time ticks if you don't turn off the game too. I've seen my playthroughs clock over a 100 hours, but play time is usually in the 30s for 100%. A little longer on higher difficulties. For some conversations I skip through them; Mostly during ME2 though. Not so much in ME1.

I've noticed my class has some to do with time when it comes to fighting, at least in ME2. I can clear things with my Vanguard because of the way I play her. e.g. the cure on Omega. From in the door to cure in place takes about two minutes. Killing everything is not necessary and does not add to experience AFAIK.

Now that I've been playing ME3 MP my play style has changed even more. Much more aggressive. I got Jack in about 10 minutes total time from when the fighting starts, maybe less. The plasma shotgun can take a YMIR down to health in 4 shots and then it's a charge and one shot kill. That gun at full power-up is deadly. It's almost always a one shot kill at any range when powered up unless there are shields and armor in the way.

Only booked off the 9th as running out of holiday, but I shall be having a solid 3 day session before playing it everyday after work the following week

I'll let you decide on the wisdom or silliness thing;)

Since ME1 is so easy combat wise (Not playing on anything higher than veteran though since frustrating combat =/= fun challenge) I'm usually quick to decide what to put on and I don't upgrade my weapons after every side mission. Aside from that I got a word document listing all the explore-able systems in ME1 so I can cross off once I've done one, and the wikia page to tell me where the points of interest are for every planet.

I never have to think really hard on which conversation options to pick. The few exceptions being the first time I went to Virmire and decisions like killing/freeing the rachni queen, saving or not saving the destiny ascension. For ME2 the conversation with the VS on Horizon was tough since I don't want Shepard sounding like an idiot (pretty hard considering the dialogue options given) and moments like saving/destroying the genophage cure. Other than that I get through my games pretty fast nowadays.

I don't expect to take any less than 50 hours playing through ME3 the first time though:)
