To be fair an Asari and a Quarian that don't know Mass Effect fields would probably be considered to be mentally challenged.

Hi everyone I have a quick question about the from ashes DLC (I know not the best place for it but I like you people and felt may be id get an answer without starting a flame war. first let me say that I don't agree with what BW are doing. but they did do the same thing with DA:O (see Shale) and mass 2 (See Zieed although not sure if he was free for all) with the little info I do have it sounds like the DLC is just a squad mate and a mission. but I'm also getting a hint that the DLC is in some way story critical so witch is it?

Am I going to get half way through the game only to get a box saying "Please buy DLC to continue" is Liara going to refuse to speak with me until I rescue said DLC squad mate? is it in some way going to stop me from getting the best posable ending for my Shepherd?

if so then it is downright wrong and I will be jumping on the Boycot mass 3 band wagon with the rest of them. if not then I don't realy see a problem. after all if you are a major fan of the game like me the you will most likley do one of two things.

(1) you will get or have already pre orded the collectors or N7 pack and I say fair play to you after all you did pay £25+ more than SE people in the UK at least so you are sorted.

(2) get the DLC on your first or second play through

(3) you are not a major fan in witch case DLC be dammed

Don't get me wrong I see what the fuss is all about but what if BW/EA seaid ok people who got the CE can have this cool bit of DLC and the rest of you can go whistle dixy people would be just as outraged.

anyway just a bit consernd that it will spoil the main plot in some way

No don't worry the devs have stated a lot of times all over the place that you can play the game from A to B without the DLC disrupting it, when you buy the game without the From Ashes DLC you are still buying a complete game; infact the game was completed before the actul work on the DLC was even started.

Anywho, glad to see the little blue devil is back and is now beating up Cerberus gits, that manga is disturbing, but still good to see her back in the squad ....

You know I bought every single DLC for ME2. That doesn't mean I'm bought anything blind.
Yes, even for LotSB. I didn't buy it without watching a review about this DLC.

DLCs are additional content for fans, who can't get enough of the game they love. Like the MP in ME3.
Nothing more, they will never be important or critical for a retail game.

It's quite possible that I will buy the DLC, maybe 5 months from now.  I don't even know what the DLC is about.
I want to join the MP as soon as possible to be honest.

Yes and some of them are downright repulsive.Especially some of the things I have seen regarding Asari. Now that femshep is also getting the bishojo treatment I'm very worried.

she's done a few more things, you should listen to her liara-speak at one of the comic-cons

It is in no way critical to the plot. It is a treat to the long term fans to finally meet a Prothean. Take ME2 for example: the DLCs they had(Zaeed, Kasumi, LoTSB, Arrival) none of these were vital to destroying the collector base. You will still be able to defeat the reapers without prothy. From Ashes is an optional DLC that was created after the main game and is in no way critical to the plot.
