Here's my complaints:

It just feels odd how I have to keep confirming to Liara when things should have been more solid since LOTSB. But even so, you're not only asked once, but asked twice in ME3. And referred to as a friend. I'd get this if you never did LOTSB, or romancing Liara in ME3 for the first time, or taking the friendship path. And I get the need to add a second bit in case people want to romance someone else. But if you did LOTSB and all, it's too odd being called a "friend" at that point. Especially when there's long gaps between conversations. It just makes you think something ain't right, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Another complaint I have is the scene where Liara is breaking down. I wish there was an option to hug her. Instead, Shepard just tells her to not blame herself, and starts typing on her computer. That didn't feel right to me.

Another is when you're in your cabin, and she's adding you to the device. I wish their was an option to tell her that you also want her to be remembered. Or you want them to be remembered as a couple.

And here's the things I liked:

ME1 romance type scene for the win.

Going into Liara's memories. That was pretty cool.

I loved the scene where she wants everyone to be remember. It's very like her to do that. She wouldn't want everything to just disappear, and be forgotten. She'd want cultures of this cycle to be remembered, as well as giving the next cycle a chance so everyone's effort wouldn't go to waste.

You know what? You are completely right with these comments, those were my problems/favorite as well.

Although I did make a chuckle at the romance scene at first since I thought for a second that they went the DA;O route.

You know I can honestly say the entire game was well done, but the endings were just sub-par. The only way I can see them fixing this, is to pull a FFX-2.

Since the best way to boost EMS is to play MP, who does a bunch of commandos killing geth affect Shepard's perceived worth? Bottom line is that the effect of EMS on ending is completely arbitrary

I meant it more in the lines of how well Shepard managed to rally the different species forces and resist the Reapers.

But honestly I do not get it either, just saying what I thought Bioware's intention with it was.

I think the ending is kind of out there. It's not the ending anyone was expecting.

But I liked it. I'm just disappointed there isn't a bit at the end when it comes to your LI. When I was hearing about endings involving Shepard's death, I was hoping for a DA:O ending, where your buddies talk about your sacrifice, or given epilogues. So I guess I wish there was a bit more added to the ending. But I guess they want to keep things a mystery.

I hate the endings because of what happens to the Normandy.

I watched the "Liara's Gift" scene on youtube.  That was a great, well-written scene that made me cry.  I didn't romance Liara on my canon Shepard, but I did play through all three games getting to know her, and the significance of that scene can be deeply felt anyway.

What gift scene are you talking about?

That scene where Liara looks up and gives you a half smile as your Shepard was (in my case) throwing himself into the Crucible's energy beam just killed me.

I'm not going to rage against the endings because they do make at least some sense but I hope that BW can give us some closure in a future DLC. I really wish though that there was still a way for the relays to remain intact and Shepard alive, especially if you're someone like me who tried to maximize his readiness score by doing all the missions and scanning

I'm pretty sure you won't see a DLC ending. Mainly because the Mass Relay's blew up.

That part confuses me the most. I keep thinking about Arrival, and wondering "Did I just blew up the entire galaxy? NOOOOOOOO!"

The "goodbye" romance scene for Shepard and Liara that takes place before the final fight.  The ME1 LIs and Garrus get one.  I don't know if Tali also gets one.

I was holding it in rather well in the goodbye scene until she said "Thank you. For Everything." ....that did it.

I agree. The middle is the worst part, because even though there's nods to the romance, they aren't doing enough. They live in seperate rooms. They don't really talk about their future together, or what future they want to have together. I feel like Liara just wanted to tease me at the beginning, and then make me wait till the end. The scenes in the middle just feel like they're more designed around friendship Shepard.

And then there's the scene where I wanted to comfort Liara with a hug, and instead Shepard just gives her a speech.

But I do understand Liara wanting to focus on her work. That always felt incharacter. She wants to do more. Not just for Shepard, but for the entire galaxy. And she's working her ass off to find a solution, or to make a difference. And because of that, Shepard gets put to the side. Especially because she's a private person.

But I also felt like she still thought of Shepard, and wanted to do whatever she could for him.

Happens when you destroy Maelon's Data.
And defend that decision. When you fly to Sur'kesh, Wrex gets all pissed at Shepard and Liara shouts his name.
When you say that destroying the Data was a mistake, Garrus will defend Shepard.

So many details in this game.

Btw, did anyone touch that console near Wrex on Sur'kesh? omg LOL. I touched it 10 times.

Okay then I think, I left Garrus on the Normandy and had Vega in my party with Liara.

She shouted Wrex name, in the manner that tells you to shut up. Can't remember if she said anything else.

I chose the white battle armor. I thought it matched a more battle field look to it, while also jelling with Shepard's armor.

I use the outfit with the white plated armor with the black detailing. It gives 25% power damage bonus, IIRC. Looks good on her, looks like it belongs in combat, and so it makes Liara look battle ready.

[Edit] So hey, did anyone notice that Liara's eyes don't go black in the final romance scene, but they do in the 'Gift' scene?

I used a mixture of her default/armor/commando gear depending on the situation.

But I must say, I really loved Liara's commando gear!

Yeah. I wrote this earlier in the thread, but it bears repeating: The time-capsule scene has no romance split per se. The idea was that if your Shepard and Liara are in a relationship they consider each other friends as well as lovers.

I normally wouldn't clarify so much, but it seems to have caused worries that it's a bug. Not a bug - just somewhere it seems I really should have done a romance/no-romance split (or at least avoided the word "friend").

Yeah, after I thought about it, I got what you were trying to do. But since there isn't an option to have Shepard or Liara to also comment that they're lovers in the scene, it makes it more confusing, as well as restricted. It also doesn't help that she uses the word friend again on the Citedal.

I used the From Ashes DLC armor.  It just looks so damn cool to me.  And I prefer power recharge speed over power damage so it was perfect for me .  Although the white battle armor was a close second.
