Shepard had to break down someday, Thessia's invasion was the perfect time IMO. I mean, things were too good to be true, recruiting the Krogans, Turians, Salarians, and possibly Quarian and the Geth too. There had to be some fallback, just like the crew being kidnapped on ME2. Besides, it makes even more sense if Liara is Shep's LI, considering her own reaction back on Thessia.
It doesn't help that my Fem!Shep spent her childhood on Thessia, and is very familiar and fond to Asari and their customs. (this is pure imagination from my part, but still....)

Thessia was a real slap in everyones face. I brought javic along with Liara, and seriously everything the Asari believed as divine goddess and whatnot was all just a big lie. Shock to the system for Liara Im sure. And then the bigger issue of losing against both cerberus and the reapers. bah. Stress fractures for everyone!

You know, I loved the Thessia moment. I really did. It was just Kai Leng's involvement that I hated.
All he did was talk smack an do cartwheels while I busted his ass, then he used rockets to destroy the building around Shep and walk off-- still talking smack.
Judging by his effectiveness in-game, Leng's like the worst assassin ever. I hated that HE was the reason Shep failed on Thessia.

The only part about the
ending I can say I "like" is that it's so messy that I can clean it all
up in my head and make my own ending in my imagination. Listening to the
soundtrack while works very well with daydreaming.

I thought it was good. He's the one wh has to charge first into battle after all. That's why she has to tell him he's not alone in this. Followed by kisses.
