I dont recall Liara saying sacrifice the council when I had Kaiden with me.. but then again that was forever ago, and I usually kill him off on Virmire lol

She does indeed...she also is the one to shoot Saren before he goes all possessed by Sovereign.

Ugh yes, it took me forever to actually find out why Liara only acted renegade in a few rare situations. Turns out I had Kaidan with me when Liara wen't all 'Let the council die' and 'He's dead' (after shooting Saren)

Kaidan has a bad influence over Liara!

You know a renegade Liara just doesnt seem tof it in my head very well in ME1.. :pinched:

I didn't really like her renegade side in ME1 because it just came out of nowhere. We all know why Liara was much more renegade in ME2 and during most of the Lotsb DLC but it didn't fit her character in ME1. Also, for an experienced soldier/biotic, Kaidan is remarkably soft if even ME1 Liara is more renegade than him.

I wonder what Ashley/Garrus/Tali is going to say to ME3 Liara IF Liara's renegade personality returns there (I doubt it since at the end of Lotsb she seems to gain a large amount of paragon points:lol:) but it'd be an interesting conversation. Always friendly, sweet and paragon Liara suddenly (for those squad members) turned into renegade, not so friendly but still sweet Liara.

I think Liara having some renegade opinions in ME1 could make sense. She's a scientist, she should understand the logic behind some renegade decisions.

Okay I tried it out. Maybe in the other playthrough I made Kaidan more Renegade by accident.
But the 'Renegade' line, let the council die, does sound Paragon from Liara, but shooting Saren was badass.

Kaidan also is the one to say:
"Who votes we take the vehicle into the creepy ruin" on Ilos instead of Liara.
I am never taking Kaidan on the last mission with me again -.-

The line is SO much better when spoken by Liara. "Who votes we take the vehicle into the creepy underground bunker?":D

Definetly one of the reasons I don't take Kaidan with me that much in ME1 (Liara is always my other squadmate). He steals all Liara's lines!

Loved that line. I also liked her comment on Feros. "Now to the Geth base. Not something an intelligent person would normally say." (or something on those lines)
But for me nothing beats her remark on Virmire. "I do not know which is worse the Geth or all this sand in my... never mind."

I never liked it when Liara shot Saren. Seemed out of character for who she was at the time. Especially when she said she felt sorry for him.

It's been said numerous times that this is, in fact, not true. However for the sake of this discussion let's pretend it is. First off, I'm 100% against any surviving prothean. It'd be incredibly cheesy if somehow out of nowhere a prothean survived and helped us deal with the reapers. Just... No. Also Vigil managed to keep about 10 protheans alive for 200 - 300 years. We're talking about approximately 48.000 years now. There's just no way they could justify this.

I think Liara would go absolutely crazy about this prothean, it'd be the one thing that would bring back her obsession with this species. And it would probably add a few more discussions with Liara, though I'm not keen on discussing Protheans with her. I'd rather talk about something else...

I'm getting the CE but would probably refrain from even downloading this DLC, if it exited...

I kind of agree with you, but they manage to pull off the resurrecting someone from the dead anyway, so at this point i believe anything is possible.
The person from BW that said that this information wasnt real, was the same who said that Kasumi wasnt real when info about her leaked, so personally i'll just be open from everything that M3 could bring us.

I wouldnt want that a Prothean steal precious time that we could spend with Liara instead. But if in M3 Shep would have the option to check the cameras of the Normandy and see how their squadmates interact with eachother, then i wouldnt mind; because would be more of an addition than anything else

I have been writing my own story about Shepard & Liara for my game (just for my own enjoyment). I had started just writing about Shepard pre-ME1 but as I continued writing, Liara was in my head saying "But what was I doing at this time?" Crazy, I know.
I've been enjoying writing what both characters did before they met and looking at Liara's life with her mother, the acolytes, her hobbies, her best friend, her job on Thessia, her first crush/girlfriend, her goals; it has made me like her even more.
For me, I would be apprehensive though to put it out there because I wouldn't want someone else getting upset at something I did with Liara ... Image IPB

Share!  The worst that'll happen is silence.  It's not like anyone here is gonna jump down your throat for character assassination.

An anagram of Liara's name makes "Aria Tonsil".

Coincidence?

That's why I killed him... err, had to make the tough choice on Virmire :P
Frankly tho, Liara was more paragon except those rare instances so not sure why they made Kaidan the ultimate Paragon.

I've been meaning to read that one in fact, when I get the time. Looked interesting just from the first couple of lines I read.

I always assumed that those things were flexible to some extent at least.
I think this requires an in depth study of Liara ;)
For science of course!
