I just watched a video of the conversation between Shepard and Liara, where Liara talks about how she wants to preserve Shepard's memory, among other things, for future species to find, in case they fail to destroy the Reapers. Made me tear up. They packed such sentimentality in to these scenes with Liara. What a great job they did. I just can't get mad that Liara's romance was the most well-developed while other romances got...not much.

Wow this thread has grown;P

I feel like its been a while and just thought I would check in and say Im enjoying what im playing so far.
The game has also been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. Some of the cinematics are very well done as well.

Im at just before I have to go to Priority: Quarians and some of the scenes Ive seen with Liara have been quite touching. Like the "flatterer" line conversation, or writing your name in the stars, the intro on Mars. The music was fitting as well.

Ive also run accross hilarious diologe sequences all over the place. One example that stands out is if you take Liara and Garrus with you to the Salarian homeworld:

When you open that door when the Yagh jumps out and hits the Cerberus trooper then runs away I could hear someone say(Shepard I think) "There goes the next ShadowBroker!" .
Then Garrus jokingly said "I could have sworn I heard him muttering.."T'Soniiii!" . Liara was like "Not funny guys!" LOL! I love it:D

Or when you get on the ship with Wrex and he says hes glad to finally be out of the shuttle bay...but would have liked a room with a window like Liara's, But he probably dident get one because he dosent "Kiss as well" ;P

Of wich Shepard responded "No comment" lol

I like these casual references to the romance. omg they know!;P

Just one quick question, my Shep initially told Liara they should only be friends on the ship.

Would I get the choice to tell her that Shep wants to be more than just friends later on the Citadel?

Synthesis here. My Shepard couldn't bring himself to kill the geth after what Legion did.

Control. The Catalyst did not like my Shepard enough to provide the synthesis solution, and like you I did not like the idea of outright destroying the geth after Legion's sacrifice.

I can't bring myself to trust Guardian enough to not destroy the Reapers, having just shot TIM, who had been convinced by the Reapers that not killing the Reapers was a good idea - it seems that indoctrination can make people believe outrageous things without being able to directly control their actions (since that would have prevented Shepard from talking TIM into committing suicide).

This kinda trumps all the arguments about the geths'/EDI's speculative sapience [letting the Reapers win would result in the destruction of the geth, who have vowed to fight the Reapers, so the geth are dead either way].

Of course, the endings prove that Shepard hadn't been indoctrinated/hallucinating when they made their choice; however, I can't use that information to justify Shep's decision because that would be meta-gaming.

Just beat the game. I'm very, very confused. But every single scene with the good doctor was so well executed that I'm almost okay with the fact that she wasn't in much of ME2.

Oh and hello all of you. (kinda forgot saying hello on my first posting. I blame it on the ending shock  )
I haven't been very active on this forum up until now and just finished reading through the old Liara thread on the other forum before skipping over here  Haven't managed to read through all of the 600+ pages in here yet but already got good pointers to fanfics, etc. So thanks for that!

I have some thoughts and answers to the last 10 pages of this topic

1. Someone said that Liara is in pregnant when she mentioned (in dialogue before last attack) about blue children. Another user said that in this age she can not be in pregnant.
- on masswiki is
"However, it should be noted that each stage can be started whenever an asari feels that she has reached the correct level of maturity. While each stage of life is marked by strong biological tendencies, individuals do make unexpected life choices. For example, there are Maidens who stay close to home rather than explore, Matrons who would rather work than build a family, and Matriarchs who have no interest in community affairs".

From this text we can deduce that Liara is ready to have children in 1/3 age of the matron stage.

2. Someone wants the last dialogue with "I love you Shepard".

3. It can be good ending without rewrite scenario. I was thinking about red one. In my opinion should be that we can end this with happy ending.

A. Shapard in "dream" decided to destroy reapers. When Shepard is firing to that wire, child sounds like angry reaper.
B. She/He wake up in Earth awere that was a dream and he/she must get to citadel and destroy reapers. Harbringer is going to stop them. Shep can not reach the relay alone.
C. The whole situation was seen by our "London Tower Sniper" and heinforms Anderson about it.
D. The news spreads quickly. Javik decides to help Shepard, then Wrex, Zaeed, Garuss and other heroes from our trilogy. But if they attack to help, probably died.
E. In this moment citadel council and the rest commanders decide to help him. Shepard did a lot for the galaxy and it's time to pay him for what he did for us.
F. All our heores soldiers, fighters, makos and Hammerheads attack to support Shepard.
G. Shepard gets on the citadel after him Zaeed, Wrex, Javik and Garrus. On citadel they must fight with catalyst. (multiple dialogue).
H. The catalyst is more powerful than they Zaeed saved Shepard from catalyst shoot but in that case is fatally wounded (Zaeed <conversation>Shep). Seeing this Javik decides to sacrifice by destroing red wire. He talks to Garrus and Wrex that the must take Shepard and return on earth because he has personal revage. (Javik<conversation>Shepard).
I. All is ok - Javik sacrifice, Garrus, Shep and Wrex back on earth, reapers fall over, all soldier cheer and enjoy.
J. They look like a new day rising. Shepard and Liara cuddle and they talk.

S- You mentioned about the blue children i think i can arrange the story for them.
L- You should becasue one is on the way.
S- smiles
L- I love you Shepard
S- I love you too Liara
At the end of dialogue they kissed.

End of my DLC xD story - I'm pretty insane xD

If Bioware want they can do good happy ending.

What I thought was interesting... and what I will make my own personal canon when I pick up my fanfic again, that odd flash of light multi colors that happens when they meld. I'm going to believe it was a meld for children. Both times... and it is the reason Shepard looks at her directly when saying children during his final speech.

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw the weird lights. I noticed the direct look too, I was like okay wtf?
