It's a made up term meaning "spouse" so that's not surprising.

"1st conversation" is the one in the XO's quarters where Liara, incorrectly, says that "it's been years"

Note that all of that could have been avoided if they had just used compressed human-readable XML (even Microsoft has finally caught on)

Hetman, bondmate means what it says, its her mate who she is bonded to.

Anyways, while not being satisfied with the ending, I was fufilled by the romance for the most part. Liara could of seemed warmer in the beginning, but by the end her deelings were clear. I see they pretty much kept her SB look. I don't like the outfit too much, overemphasizes the breasts, but her skin looks really neat, makes her look more detailed, alien. I was surprised they didn't kiss again before the final push, but I guess pda at that time was a no-no. Also didn't quite get the memory she shares with you and why she didn't say "embrace eternity!".

Anyway, Liara saying all those things just before the final push is as natural as all the others saying goodbye, nobody knows if they'll make it out alive. Hell it only took 5 years and 3 games to get an I love you from both of them. But Liara also made it clear that her gift is many things, a goodbye included. I chose to think of it as that final promise my Shep made, that she'll definitely come back to Liara. A promise is a promise.

It does look shinier to me too. Maybe it's made of different material? at least those black parts, sleeves and such.

Edit: hmm... why did I only mention sleeves when when the whole coat is black? but anyway those black parts of that CE outfit do look shinier comparing to other of her outfits...

Yes, that outfit is very shiny.
It's actually particularly the red parts that have the same reflection shader as EDI or many of Sheps new armor pieces.
I'll try to find a screenshot that shows this more clearly ...

Ehh. I did not like it, although I did not give it much of a chance. But even with these screenshots I am not impressed.

Also. Anyone wishing that Liara would have those Justicar-head jewelry in her armor outfit + Commando outfit?

Like you said those red parts seem to be even shinier than black parts, didn't remember that, though I only used this outfit once during my playthrough... but all in all that outfit is really shiny.

I agree the breasts were overdone, but I thought the outfits were fine. Yeah the memory thing is still up for debate.

It wasn't gone, you just have to look close, in the sex scene her eyes open already black. It is hella sexy too. I noticed it on my second run.

When her head is tilted back a bit, she opens her eyes a tad and... Oh boy she is one damn sexy woman!

Yeah, I know that her eyes go black, but that's not what I meant. I meant the words "Embrace eternity". In ME1 it was used a lot, and not only by Liara, IIRC Shiala said that too. And there used to be some other eternity-talk too before joining one's consciousness to other's.
