I actually thought the pre-ending deaths were fantastic and brought a lot of meaning to the game. Mordin, what a hero..."Someone else might've gotten it wrong".

Mordin is a bad ass, and so is Thane. Dude has a debilitating disease and still manages to chase off a partially cybernetic super assassin.

Ok... I have been goin gover this in my head for days now and a thought came to me as I was driving home from work. It's terrible how I am thinking about this game on my way home from work. lol! That's how much I love this game and was upset by it.

Anyway... I tried to be rational through all of this and this is what I came up with.

Bioware knew how they were going to "end" this series long before ME3 came out so my questions are these...
And I'm thinking of these from a writer's POV because that is what I am.

1) At the end of LotSB... why have the line about little blue children?
2) At the end of LotSB... why have Liara demand Shepard promise her that he will always come back even knowing what they were facing?
3) I'm sure everyone noticed the differences in the love scenes from ME1 and ME 2 compared to this one.
4) Why does Liara say "All those little blue children are going to be disappointed I didn't have a speech." Notice she used present tense...
5) Why does one ending... the hardest to achieve BYW... show who we assume is Shepard taking a gasp of breath?
6)The Normandy scene to me makes no sense so I am going to assume it is some sort of bug. Shepard's crew would not be bugging out in the middle of a battle that was by no means over.

So... here is what I think. Hope for. Desire. Want passionately for closure!!! Bioware are you listening???

I think we will get a DLC which will stem from those things I listed above in some way shape or form. I think Liara is already Preggers before she gives him the gift... and that blank white light we all see is her showing him that. I think the DLC will contain Shepard either waking up and finding they are victorious and he goes on a mission to find his blue goddess and his crew. They reunite and liara is holding a baby... or two. That would be my very first choice and goes with the comments from Allie Hillis on her tweet page about us getting little blue children.

The second thought is we see a future DLC with Shep and Liara's children or child being a major force in rebuilding the galaxy. With all those dead reapers lying around don't tell me they wouldn't be able how to figure out how to build new relays in a much shorter span of time. Especially with the Geth and Rachini helping them to build them. Remember... the war brought the entire galaxy together... whose to say they won;t continue this in rebuilding it to what it once was.

I know... I know... probably a fantasy of mine.. but I'm a hopeless romantic and the endings were all ghastly!!!!!

Ah well...

For those interested... I'm putting up the first revised chapter of my fanfic. This include events of Arrival and mention some things from the beginning of three. It will have a shorter version of Shepard's "trial" and how he ended up being under house arrest for his own protection at the beginning of ME3. I will then continue through the events of ME3 in my own words and it will most defintiely NOT have one of those crap endings! lol!

With the exception of Mordin, may his brave sacrifice be remembered forever, that's pretty much how it should have ended. Only I'd have the EDI Joker hug happen for Shep & Liara. But meh, little details.

Maybe Liara gets a baby which we play as in ME4? Different LI get different race babies.

Like I said, my Shep would move galaxies to be back at Liara's side. No force in the 'verse can stop her!

Can't be.  What if Shepard was romance-less?  That'd establish canon.

I wish this would happen too, but you have to remember not everyone romanced Liara, so the chances of Shepard's Asari daughter being a major player in any future games are slim to none

Please don't. Every Custom MaleShep I've ever seen looks like the stuff out of nightmares. Sooo many people in denial that their fumbled attempts with the character creator aren't any good...

I wish this would happen too, but you have to remember not everyone romanced Liara, so the chances of Shepard's Asari daughter being a major player in any future games are slim to none

Yes and I agree with you. At most, it might end up being a nice easter egg for characters who did romance Liara. Maybe.
