Three, in fact. That is the reason why the asari are so keen on extra species union, apparently. On top of secret galactic domination. Imagine if every other political family out there had some link the asari.

I might be wrong, but Samara was the problem, she has the gene which produces Ardat-Yakshi. Which also means that Samara could be the father to other Asari and produce a normal daughter since no DNA of the father is passed.

It's stated in one of the planet descriptions that Asari have a strong biological urge to roam away from their homeland after they hit the maiden stage. Something about them being 'strongly exogamous' and seeking out partners very genetically different to them. Most settle down in the matron stage, but I guess that doesn't mean they necessarily return to their homeland.

On the Aethyta front - My FemShep(s) always renegade her regardless of alignment "Nobody messes with my girl!' and she comments that "Maybe you are good enough for her."

Also, someone asked about the femshep comment Aethyta gives regarding intimacy...

Aethyta: "Yeah, how many times have you thrown her on the bed and pealed her out of that uniform?"

Gotta love the chemistry... "...best father a girl could have!" - nice war asset out of that one too.

I think Rear Admiral Hannah Shepard: yes my mom was promoted in the game - the first playthrough I missed this. Hackett only tells Shep that if it's over the QEC - not if he says he has info on her when he boards the Normandy just prior to the Earth push.

I think is is very likely Hannah will be by Shep's side this time when he/she wakes up. I also think Aethyta and Hannah will meet. It's more hope than anything else, but I can't see BioWare letting that one slip... not after trolling the crap out of all of us. They truly have a quad pulling off IRL indoctrination on the lot of us.

It was a close call for my Shep, but she never lost sight of the goal! Destroy the reapers. EDI, was my most trusted friend in that playthrough... But even she altered her programming to put others before her own well being. She would understand my decision - the needs of the many...

That is the way I am looking at.  Plus the planet looks untouched by the war.

About the promise.  In my run where I did the DLC, Liara did say goodbeye to Shepard.  I really think Liara knows Shepard might not come back and is okay with that.  Espeically if Shepard ends the war.  The promise isn't mentioned at all.  If it is, I didn't see it.  The more I think abou it and watch the videos I made.  I think Liara feels she might not get through this.  I still don't have a run where I save everyone.  Or those that can be saved, poor Thane.

I did the time capsule scen last night with one of my renegade broSheps.  I did all three response.  The I'll let you decided reponse was wonderful.  Liara didn't always agree with the decisions Shepard made, but respected them. 

As gutwrenching as the ending is, I still love this game.  I love the difference dialogue depending on what is in the import you use and how your squad is made up.  That was brillant. 

Does anyone not take Liara during the ending then have her be on the Normandy at the end?

Liara/LI always ends up on the ship at the end afaik. It's what Shep would want. It's Joker, LI, Best friend (based on dialog/team member use/and maybe other factors.) Once I got the Prothian, but I was super nice to him during that playthrough... I still found that odd. Garrus is my BFF. I better let him out shoot me next time we're on the Citadel.

Joker has always wanted Liara ... that is why he was always trying to knock off Shep. Mission accomplished!

The story wasn't about Shepard but Joker.  

He lived & got the girl(s) if that Normandy meets Gilligan's Island ending is real and not just an hallucination.

I loaded that part specifically for looking after my squad mates and they don't run with you, they take the shuttle with with Major Coats. You see only Alliance commandos.

I imported my canon Shep all the way from ME-Arrival who romanced  Liara and stayed loyal to her in ME 2 and rekindled their relationship in LOTSB. I have to say other than that weird friend zone in the middle of the game when I already told her that I wanted to stay together when we first met phase, the romance was awesome. A lot of the scenes in the game fit together really well when she is your romance option.

Ditched by Shep's LI and closest Squaddie...it was the accent wasn't it - Major Coats has an accent and girls always fawn for that - damn it! Shepard! Be cooler!
