How many EMS should we have for that TRAGEDY?

I suspect it's like Anderson, happens no matter what. Game the system by not taking them. Vega & Wiliams, front & centre!

Anderson no matter what, yes. But he's not there with you anyway so enough EMS and I'm sure he'll be alive as well. He may be the one that pulls you from the rubble and gets you to triage. I'd like to know where it is though. I hope the DLC/ME4 starts there. I want to be hip deep in the planet to planet ground war cleanup after recovery.

And there better be an opp for me to pop the damn question to Liara before hitting the field this time, dammit. NO more waiting to die again! Shep-voice 'I want an answer!'

Hey, stop stealing my ideas! :P

I know, I could have taken Javik, in fact, but I think Liara may have wanted his input for her book, so who am I to deny her? Actually, could have taken EDI, cause she would technically still be alive on the Normandy, right? So it'll just be one actual loss. Oh... the grim arithmetic....

Honestly, read Deventh's post above first. If it is true and Bioware seriously trolled us this hard in ME 3, I'm done with them. But I'm still playing the waiting game. I want a straight answer from them.

I don't think a book would do much good on the random planet they end up on, unless some future species discover it years later :o

Well, if your EMS is high enough, you can't see them, which implies to me that they survived. If EMS is low, they do appear dead in a pool of blood, otherwise they're replaced by generic Alliance soldiers.

If I saw Liara and Garrus get killed, the mission would be restarting within nanoseconds.

thanks goddes that i had 7025 points on 100% galactic readiness!

How can you be done with them when it's brilliant. They totally indoctrinated your shep and you... depending on your 'choice'

Choice is an illusion. There is only the mission. What is the mission?

Pretty sure there won't be ME4 with Shepard even BioWare confirmed this is the ending of Commander Shepard.

Yep!

And ME2 was the end of Captain Hannah too. She's now Rear Admiral Hannah - Still mom to me though.

I'm sure after I get a bond ceremony bracelet on Liara's wrist, I'll head over to whatever is left of Alliance HQ  and accept my long over do promotion to Major. Then we'll take the remaining husks and other Reaper minions to hell with a pushback war that will wake the goddess!

Scenario A) SP DLC to wrap up the story planned all along

I wasn't sold the full product out of the box. Big bold words right here
Interactive Storytelling
Experience the beginning, middle, and end of an emotional story unlike any other, where the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome.

My choices shaped the experience, the outcome had nothing to do with them. SP DLC to wrap up the story would be infuriating, but about as palatable as a fried cockroach.

Scenario B) SP DLC to wrap up the story due to fans feedback

I really don't know what to say if this is the case.

"That to me is part of what's exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery there and a little bit of interpretation, and it's a story that people can talk about after the fact."

A little bit? I think we're severly understating things here. I have no idea what happened at the end, the geth and batarians never showed up, I thought I finished the Reapers but apparently I didn't and I was merely left at London, with the Reapers still attacking and all that good stuff. So what the hell is the conclusion? Did the story end? Mass Effect 3 was meant to finish Shepard's story, not turn it into some legend where the end is never known.

I'm sorry, this discussion really doesn't belong here because this is the Liara thread, and I like it happy, the way it should be when it comes to Liara.

The thing is, scenes like that don't really work on the level that they should. I mean, with Mordin and Legion, you can't go back to the start of the mission to save them, because their demise depends on past actions taken in the previous game. With this, though, you can simply jump back to the start of the mission and take two different squaddies, which, I feel, makes it lose its emotional impact.

Did anyone notice how Barla Von still refers to the Shadow Broker as a 'he'.

It's nice to see someone who's still clueless about Liara's new job. Damn, everyone else in the game seems to know about it.

It seems only the Brokers own agents don't know that he is now she. Or maybe they just don't care? I mean a Yahg took over and they didn't know any different.

So, if it was possible for Liara and Shepard to have those little blue children in the game, what would you name them? :)

They just don't know.  I'm sure they care enough to at least wonder who the Shadow Broker really is (or if it's really a group of people, etc.  Barla Von says as much in ME1).

Only Feron knows what's up.

Funny how the asari government knows, the Alliance knows, Wrex knows, the Turians possibly know, everyone that the Shadow Broker has agents in, and yet the agents themselves don't know!

Yeah, I would have pressed that load button so hard. Still pretty sad to se Liara and Garrus go, my personal favorites. And either way, someone has to die.  So even though you can save Liara, someone else in the squad kicks the bucket

Oh yeah, and Tali, etc.

But Feron's the only agent that knows.

I'm glad Liara's smart enough to keep Allers way the hell far away from her room.

I wonder how much data she could salvage from the Normandy?

If she was rescued, it's possible she could start again.

There's no point to Shadow Brokering on a tropical planet, buying and selling Joker's secrets XD
