Oh yeah, and Tali, etc.

But Feron's the only agent that knows.

I'm glad Liara's smart enough to keep Allers way the hell far away from her room.

It seems only the Brokers own agents don't know that he is now she. Or maybe they just don't care? I mean a Yahg took over and they didn't know any different.

They just don't know.  I'm sure they care enough to at least wonder who the Shadow Broker really is (or if it's really a group of people, etc.  Barla Von says as much in ME1).

Only Feron knows what's up.

I love your sig :D

I got the impression that Liara's new job was not a well-kept secret. I mean, Wrex knew, Garrus knew, probably EDI since she is the ship, and TIM knew, wich means all of his minions probably knew it too

How can you be done with them when it's brilliant. They totally indoctrinated your shep and you... depending on your 'choice'

Choice is an illusion. This is only the mission. What is the mission?

Scenario A) SP DLC to wrap up the story planned all along

I wasn't sold the full product out of the box. Big bold words right here
Interactive Storytelling
Experience the beginning, middle, and end of an emotional story unlike any other, where the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome.

My choices shaped the experience, the outcome had nothing to do with them. SP DLC to wrap up the story would be infuriating, but about as palatable as a fried cockroach.

Scenario B) SP DLC to wrap up the story due to fans feedback

I really don't know what to say if this is the case.

"That to me is part of what's exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery there and a little bit of interpretation, and it's a story that people can talk about after the fact."

A little bit? I think we're severly understating things here. I have no idea what happened at the end, the geth and batarians never showed up, I thought I finished the Reapers but apparently I didn't and I was merely left at London, with the Reapers still attacking and all that good stuff. So what the hell is the conclusion? Did the story end? Mass Effect 3 was meant to finish Shepard's story, not turn it into some legend where the end is never known.

I'm sorry, this discussion really doesn't belong here because this is the Liara thread, and I like it happy, the way it should be when it comes to Liara.

Indoctrination ties to the lore and story like nothing else. The team had a quad for sure, risking hate, money loss, and bad press to give true RPG  fans something no other company would even think of doing if they really gave a crap about money.

Think about how we view Shep. Hero, crazy lucky, died and brought back... invulnerable... Even as we play, we see him/her as an unstoppable force heading to into the abyss as the only ray of light and hope in that galaxy. How could they possibly fail! We can just reload!

Think about how good the sub plots and main plot are and ask yourself how this ending could really be... 'real (game) world'. It is the end of ME 3 unless they tie up the end of the war in a DLC and then provide the epilogue, but it will be big. It won't just be a 'Shep wakes and gets an epilogue', it will be LotSB in scope and size if not bigger. It may just pick up at ME4... which they may have been developing along side ME3 to speed up release.

They knew what this was going to do. Some can call it a Trolling, but I think when people get it! I mean finally get the HFS moment of epiphany, that not only Shep got indoctrinated, but they as a player fell into the trap - they will truly have walked a couple thousand miles in his/her shoes.

Did anyone notice how Barla Von still refers to the Shadow Broker as a 'he'.

It's nice to see someone who's still clueless about Liara's new job. Damn, everyone else in the game seems to know about it.

I think the people who Liara is the Shadow Broker are those Liara trusts.  I doubt very much the old agents know there was a change at the top.

Anyone that was on the Normandy in ME2 knows.  Cerberus knows and did what I thought they would do.  Go after Liara at the base.  It wasn't a mission in game, but Liara does mentions it.  I think Liara trusts Hackett and Anderson.  Some probably think Liara is a very powerful information broker and not the actual SB.

When did Liara get all of her SB equipment on the Normandy?  Was she going to help Anderson?

It's another question as I play more that comes to mind.

She was already working with Hackett. The LotSB equipment was with her on Mars. He also knows. They are better friends than most know. He was the one that actually gave Liara Sheps tags... You only find that out if you break it off with her and invite her over to the Normandy in ME2 as a friend.

I actually think she told them about her 'job' sometime after Shepard was sent to Earth and offered to assist them with preparing for a possible Reaper invasion.  This led to an alliance that led to her investigating the Mars facility.

You gain more war assets from interviews with her.

She is good for that.

I wonder how much data she could salvage from the Normandy?

If she was rescued, it's possible she could start again.

Yes, maybe

I'd imagine she wants to return to Thessia (if this is possible without the relays), using her influence to help the rebuilding effort.

TIM does know, he refers to her directly once or twice as the Shadow Broker. I think it was on Thessia. So... for the galaxy's most feared and secretive information broker, she sure didn't do a good job of the secrecy. I guess it's hard to be low profile when your girlfriend is The Shepard.

Allers doesn't but her stories does give a bump in war assets for the other species.  She's not on my ship with the Shepard I'm using.  I am really liking the friendship with Liara in this run.  She didn't plead for the rachni queen this game like she did in ME1.

Good to know. I have her smearing Cerberus right now. Arrests are happening all over council space as they are exposed. I'm a little worried this may have an adverse affect on Dr. Conrad Verner, but his Thesis is only worth 1 point. I still wish he was recruitable - even as a ship rat. He'd be less boring than the dog.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. She's the SB for life. You can't have a better job than that when you may, say, want to have a few little blue children. Let Shep fight, Specter, or captain a ship. Liara can be the most bad ass 'say at lair' mom in the galaxy.

TIM gave Shepard the intel to give to Liara to go after the SB.  The end mission statement in ME2 after completing the DLC says that Liara took over for the SB and TIM is keeping an eye on Liara's relationship with Shepard.  He knew when the change happen.
Image IPB

TIM picked a good time to go after her.  When Shepard is being held on Earth and can't help her.

Or... That is the ending.  And that is it.  Bioware wanted a memorable ending, one that would make us think and speculate and feel.  Even though everything we're feeling is I think the wrong kind of emotions, they still ''lived'' up to what they promised (barring the whole CONCLUSIVE ending promise, interpretation and open are not words I associate with CONCLUSIVE)  Sure theyre reading the outrage, maybe even scrambling for some sort of appeasment DLC but in reality i betcha they don't care anymore, theyre bitterly mocking or laughing at us, they have no intention of doing anything - its their game, they got their money - we're just the foolish masochist consumer who fell for all their crap and like an abusive relationship we kept coming back for more with the illusionary promise that theyll get better.  But are they so short sided to scar us that badly that they risk us abandoning anything Bioware or EA labelled?  Pain and betrayel of the hand that feeds you is bad for marketing ^.o

Or... (and i highly doubt, I'm CPRing the hell out of my optimism right now)
Maybe like their rushed excuse for an ending, they (like the From Ashes DLC) have something in store but had to cut it out to meet deadlines so they give us a glitchy, hole ridden ending that they can play off of and make the equivilent of an Arrival or LotSB DLC (which screams all kinds of wrong to me, being a guillable CE owner and all I demand such a DLC idea be free but - yea right...)  Needless to say, if they don't deliver within 6 months - this game meets a burning barrel or a bear friendly trash can -.-

But i apologize, this is liara thread - back to the blue glory that is she.
