My canon Shep was born on Illium before first contact. Hannah was Rescued by an Asari cruiser from a Batarian slaver attack. It's was all hush hush. Amy is very special. Very influential and persuasive thanks to her origins... and she had this uncanny ability to see things others didn't. (All Shep's do really. That is what makes them Shepard.)
Of course, this doesn't explain why she had trouble in ME1 and ME2 simply recording evidence with her omni. lol. At least she got over than brain fade in ME3.
My canon Shep was born and raised on Thessia, has consequently adopted many aspects of Asari culture, and is understandably attached to the Asari homeworld, so you can imagine her reaction down there. Sadly, all of that has to stay in our heads, but BioWare can't do everything.
Also, LOL'ed on the recording evidence thing.Deventh wrote...

that could be why it's just designed as a dreamscape instead of
'ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL'))"
Sounds pretty good so far.
I'm not doubting you, but where did you see this?
Thessia - wow. How did you get around the estabilshed lore? I've been keeping my fic within the confinds of the established wiki and codex... Hannah is eventually returned to Alliance space and has no memory of ever seeing the Asari or being on Illium... thanks to a very good Asari friend of hers by the name Benezia; who blocked out the memories, of course.
