Holy crap this renegade playthrough is just freakin intense! I can't believe how different it feels. The immersion is surreal and the dialog is constant HFS moments! Wrex dissing our friendship, Liara stepping up to the Krogan like he was a little girly boy... definitely came close to a head butt moment there. Edi's just like - did I miss something?

Damn this game is good when you have hope...

LotSB actually hints at it heavily.

Wilson, the guy in charge of "rebuilding" Shepard, was working for the ShadowBroker.
The ShadowBroker was working for the Collectors, but postponed the "extraction" of Shepard until he/she was up and kicking.
Some logs and comments about project Lazarus and Grayson suggest Cerberus used Reaper tech (bio-synthesis, implants, etc) to fix Shep.

Project Overload also suggest it, with Shep being interfaced by Archer's brother and when he joined the Geth Server.

I thought it was well known that she had reaper tech in her. I've known this from day one of ME2. It was just supposidly 'inert'.

With the Reapers now on the doorstep, it's not so inert and she has become an antenna. Although, it's more important for Harbi to get her slowly, rather than everyone in the Normandy very slowly... Shep is the key to ending the war/resistance, so a very careful breakdown over the course of events, culminating to a final 'Crucible' during the push to the white beam seems logical. FYI  - A Crucible is a trial.

Just remember, Not all choices may mean outright death with really high EMS. It does depend on the total affects of indoctrination. One of the two; control or merge, could still leave Shep alive... things just may go really bad in that playthrough as you unintentionally play into Harbi's hands and work against the war effort. That would be a monumental undertaking to divide the story like that - it's not the same as Renegade/Paragon dialog and attitude... it would have to be similar and subtle and a true WTF moment at some point - before Shep gets a second chance to break free... or just before Liara, Kadin, Ash or Garrus puts a bullet in Sheps head.

The first race I unlocked when I started multiplayer (which was after I was finished the game) was Asari...so I made her Shepard and Liara's daughter.

No. I am very intuitive and I write for fun. I look for things like this in literature. I'm not infallible though. I took a fit and wiped the ME trilogy off my system after I finished 3 the first time. It took me 48 hours of stewing and going over events in my head to figure it out.

You did mention you're writing a fic before, didn't you? Any chance of a link?

I came close to uninstalling ME from my PC too. Glad I had a lot to keep me busy so I couldn't do it at the time.

No link. It's not published and won't be until it's done and I'm satisfied with it. It won't be short. Close to 100K words very likely from the chapter sizes so far.
