i am a fan of Liara, but in my eyes she seems more like a sister than a romance option. (at least to my Vanguard fem!Shepard she will be)

Agreed, I thought the kiss on the cheek was cute but then there's nothing until it's almost the end

I was not a huge fan of Shepard deciding to make a speech instead of actually comforting Liara. It just felt so cold.

Yeah, I hated that. There's a lot about the middle that feels like Shepard and Liara should've acted more close, but are oddly distant.

Just finished the game and must say, it's a shame that my Shepard wasn't able to keep his promise from LotSB. The little blue children will be disappointed.

Although, I guess I could just change the ending in my head to make it work out

Yeah, the middle part of the romance was actually poor IMO. Just a complete lack of emotions there. It felt like they designed it to fit as if the romance was "new", and not have it reflect the fact that Liara and Shepard has known each other for some time.

It's the only part I feel the need to fix up with fan fic or headcanon.

By 'fix up' I mean, add more stuff.

Maybe another date scene.

Question to all:  if your Shepard could choose another 'date' with Liara, what would s/he do?  My Shepard would keep it simple and make dinner for Liara and then go on that walk Liara spoke about in that text message thingy.

Well, the issue is not so much that people are unhappy with the endings but Bioware making some specific claims about the endings that turned out to be factually inaccurate.

If you ordered a cappuccino and got a espresso instead you probably wouldn't be too happy either if they told you to get over it because of "barrister-y merit"

The fixes were as described here but don't seem to be sufficient to trigger the proper dialogue.

So that is supposed to fix it apparently? Through which file do we change the ID to true anyways?

Liara's romance plot were and they're the following ones:

14169,6927,6931,6815,7051,7035,7151

The LotSB one was 7035, which effectively I had it set as "false" in my save when it should have been set to "true". To fix it you need to:

- Download the ME3 save editor from her: http://svn.gib.me/builds/masseffect3/
- Open it (the executable is in the bin folder, the file with the pink square icon).
- Once in the program click "Open" and choose your career (the savefile you want to edit).
- Go to the "Plot" tab (the one with the heart).
- In the "Bool" box, type 7035, click the "Is Set" checkbox next to it and then click the "Set" button, if done correctly it should tell you: "bool 7035 set to True (was False)".
- Then click save and choose "Save to Career".

Always make a backup of your saves prior to editing them, of course.

Sounds like a good idea, perhaps with some relaxation in the cabin along with a shower later?

Same complaint here, the beginning and the end were really well done, but the middle needed more work. Also, I'd like to see more moments with Shepard starting to exhibit some PTSD like during the beginning of the game, where practically freezes at times.

Nah, just some Shepard TLC.

It'd involve Omega, Aria, Hallex, and ridiculous amounts of Red Sand... probably doing lines of it off Liara's half-hanar sister

Well if you played LotSB and got back with Liara, she's supposed to acknowledge that and say its been "Months" since they were last together (apparently ME3 takes place 6 months after the events of The Arrival) instead she says "Years" in reference to ME1 - ME3. I'm not sure if it works for xbox console yet.

My femShep would do something like that, jib.  The walk would be in a park.  Liara can tell Shepard more about Benezia or her talk with Aethyta.  Shepard  can tell Liara about growing up a spacer with her parents in the Aliiance Navy.

That is a miss opportunity as well.  I so much wanted to talk to both of them after the coup.  Aethyta is gone.  I do hope she made it out okay and you never talk to Liara about it.  She never mentions it.

Can you replace other models than Shepard too? No idea how all that works but I've seen someone play ME2 as Wrex.
So you could atleast change Shepard to Liara and go headbutt Wreav next to the shaman.

There's still one flag for Liara I'm missing, it's the one between the LotSB first part (7035) and ME3 romance (7151). Once I find it I'll report back.

Not in my playthrough. I killed all synthetics. 

I wasn't talking about EDI ... He is right there with Liara. To comfort her in her sad & lonely hours. If she decides to have blue babies then where will she turn? Yep. Only Joker seems to be able to live with Liara for the rest of his life.

Now isn't that a punch in the gut?

Having a conversation with both Aethyta and Liara at the same time would have been great. As would the Hannah-Aethyta meeting that we will never get to see.
