Completely changed? I wouldn't go that far, she was simply just less naive and dumb struck about a world outside of books and computer screens. That's what happens when your basically in a legalized, criminal industry. She was a like a kid in ME1, everybody has to grow up sometime, she is over a hundred years old. Yeah I get things go a little slower for Asair, but damn its been a hundred years, no one can be that stupid after a hundred years.wolfennights wrote...
Does anyone else have any theories as to Liara's complete personality change between ME1 and ME2? I think that it was PTSD, but I wanna hear your thoughts.

As many have said before, Liara matured.wolfennights wrote...

I think we can only speculate on this.Lezlie.Shep wrote...
We've all come to agree upon the same thing, but how will she handle herself in ME3? What's her loyalty mission (if she has one.) She's been onboard with Shep' for so long she might as well be loyal to begin with, like Tali or Garrus.

Yep, take a look at the previous page, there was a whole discussion there about itSE JN wrote...

I will need this for ME3. ^^
I think Liara will be a mix of "I can handle the violence." and "How are you really doing Shepard?"
Empathic but badass.

It has been talked about way too many times before. Liara did NOT completely change. The old Liara is still in her, she has just matured and become more independant and not relying on Shepard for anything like in ME1.
Which to be honest I find extremely sexy
I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to a game, just to meet a party member.

I thought Liara's personality change was well handled. And it was like it was a complete overhaul.
You all are going to laugh but....the whole situations reminds me of Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings. Shepard was dead. Everyone else did, with good reason, give up. She didn't. Just as Sam refused to give in no matter what he faced, and so did she. Sam was the real hero of the LotR trilogy, after all.
Most people have limits. She doesn't.

With the new intel Bioware released on their website about traveling to Thessia, would Liara be the reason we are drawn there or Samara/Morinth?Kadzin wrote...
Her loyalty mission would most likely have something to do with the asari homeworld of Thessia, or perhaps something to do with SB's ship, unless it gets destroyed right away to force her to move to Normandy right away.Lezlie.Shep wrote...

Another thing that comes to mind is Liara/Aethita subplot.

"You fought a krogan battlemaster while I cowared. Now you're doing it again. And I'm still leaning on you for help." -- Liara T'soni
Anyway. She has indeed matured but her personality is still pretty much the same as in ME1. It's just that she's put up some emotional barriers and toughend herself up in order to not get overrun in the ugly world that's information brokering.I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to a game, just to meet a party member.
Indeed. The entire first part of ME3 I'll probably think: When will I meet Liara?
5 mins later: How long until I get to talk to Liara again?
Etc...
