At the start of the game was it traynor, or cortez ,who showed you the new normandy?

Traynor, with that datapad. 

 The Datapad and talk with traynor, was your shep talking to liara before that.

I thought that Javik was an ass first time we met, but in the end he turned out to be alright guy.

Definitely. The Javik/Liara interractions were some of my favorite scenes in the game.

I really hope they write that book together.

Don't watch Liara's crazy eyes for too long, it starts to screw with your eyes as well!

@Arcataye, thanks for finding that for me. I did follow that conversation through til the very end, but I never made the connection that it was Joker's sister.

Y'know, I know now that letting her have a gun results in her committing suicide, but at the risk of opening up a complicated can of worms, is it worth living like that, forever traumatised by such a horrific event?

Because I'm pretty sure it's been more recent than "years" since she and my Shepard were together, and it felt kind of weird to have to go through the motions of "I want to be more than friends" all over again.

It's been confirmed by Liara's writer to be a bug.

I think there's a bug with the LotSB import flags.

I've noticed some weird things with Liara regarding romance later on too.

Like later on:

Liara mentions that Shep is a good friend and Shep's like, 'I want to be more than friends.' and I was like wtf I thought you two already were officially 'together'.

For the record, the latter's not a bug. You can still decide to be with someone else up until that point (even if you tell Liara you want to rekindle your relationship in that first conversation in her office...) so we needed a way to definitively communicate to the player "OK, listen, this is absolutely it for choosing your one true romance". I went for the most obvious paraphrase possible to avoid any confusion over whether this was the moment you became a serious, together-forever item.

The former problem, Liara saying it's been years since she saw you instead of mentioing how she visited you in LotSB... I'm afraid that does sounds like a bug. The problem didn't appear during testing and I'm not sure why it's popping up now, but it looks like the game isn't recognizing that you had an intimate moment with Liara onboard the Normandy in LotSB. My sincerest apologies for that.
