Try listening to the romance scene soundtrack at the same time. Beautiful piece of music but it makes the depression even worse. It gets better if I pretend the ending never happened though:crying:

Probably already been answered earlier, but I'm curious: is there any particular reason Liara doesn't seem to acknowledge the rekindling of the romance in LotSB? Is it a flag bug, or what? Because I'm pretty sure it's been more recent than "years" since she and my Shepard were together, and it felt kind of weird to have to go through the motions of "I want to be more than friends" all over again.

Bug.

That's a bug at the beginning of the game, but I'm wondering if there is one during the end game talk as well.

The only reason I think that is after finishing my run with Ash as the LI made me think there could be one more line from Shepard.

Ash tells Shepard at the end she loves him.  He does says I love you back.  Now, that makes me wonder why Shepard doesn't tell Liara I love you back when she tells Shepard that when she is the LI.  I've done Liara's romance twice so far.  Once with DLC included and once without the DLC.  Neither time does Shepard tell Liara s/he loves her at the end game.  Just the cabin scene.  There is a difference if you didn't do the DLC vs doing the DLC.  Nice job on the writing team on that.

It might have felt odd, but you can tell on Mars they are together and love each other.  Too bad the same can't be said about Ash's romance and I'm sure the same can be said about Kaidan's.

To be fair Shepard tells Liara when they're in the Citadel that he /she wants to spend the rest of their lives together, which is much better if you ask me.

That picture is just awesome Kiryu!

Does someone know how to make the flycam "fixed position"?
Like in ME2 you could toggle to flycam, position it to where you wanted, toggle it off and move your character, then toggle it back on and the flycam would still be in the position you left it.
Now in ME3 the flycam resets back to Shepards head every time I toggle it. :(

I just added ( Name="F1", Command="ToggleFlyCam" ) to SFXGameModeBase.

I need that for some Liara-project. B)

Who says it isn't? Bioware certainly said as much, it's as open to interpretation as we like. So as far as I'm concerned, that's my little blue baby right there, Medea, with uncle Wrex and a pet pyjak.

Hmm, having never had any other relationship I didn't know this. It is a little odd that Shepard doesn't reply after Liara's "gift", but I guess it's implied. To me, Shepard said I love you when they kissed in the stars. Actions speak so much louder than words, and that kiss was all sorts of I love you.

I feel Liara's romance offered more.  Mostly because you don't have to explain Cerberus and you NOT working for them after blowing up the collector base to Liara.  She knows why Shepard was with Cerberus in the first place.

True, Shepard does says, "I want to spend my life with you."  Then the bondmate comment from Liara at the end game talk.  Which she does say farewell.

I don't know how many renegade runs I can do.  That was rough stuff.  I had almost 30 names listed on the Memorial Wall on the crew deck.  Zaeed wasn't listed even though he died during ME3.  :o:pinched:  At the end, I only talked to Steve, Jacob, and Jack.  Everyone else dead or in Kasumi's case, not in import.

That's a really good one. Might edit and desktop this one.

Anyone else feel the whole "we are listening'' thread is just a vent thread - itll dwindle until we get too tired to complain anymore and in the end bw won't do anything except release pre-ending DLC (which i can't see myself getting until the ending is fixed, just sayin')

I did notice the color difference in Liara's gift last night.  I think that is where you see the red/blue like the other two games where it showed if you were a paragon or renegade.  Instead of it being at the very end, but tagged to Liara's gift.  Liara putting her head on Shepard's shoulder was nice.  Even though she didn't agree with everything he did, she always respected him.

Maybe this line will get the Liara haters to stop hating on her.  Nah, I doubt it.

Mine was more or less red tinted, all the youtube vids I see are blue - *whistles innocently* If liara grabbed DNA for a kid, that blue woman is going to have her hands full with a Shepard Jr. 0.0
And I kinda like the whole shoulder thing, a subtle show of affection.. it was nice.

It doesn't bother me.

I always believed "I love you" to be more of a human thing whereas the asari equivalent is...melding!

Liara, of course, says "I love you" to Shepard as she's trying to express her feelings in human terms.  Interestingly enough, after Shepard says "I love you" in the cabin scene, Liara asks for her to 'show me' in asari terms (i.e., meld).

That's my interpretation at least.

Another little thing that bothers me; in the cabin scene in LotSB, Liara comments that she's 'You know, I'm 108. 109, in a couple of months.' So she must have had her birthday when Shep was under house arrest.

I would've liked the option for imported LotSB Sheps to comment on missing her birthday, maybe promise to get her a late gift. :P

BroShep gets Liara's head on his shoulder during the gift? I didn't get a scene like that, if I can remember everything clearly. Or do you mean after Shep wakes up from the nightmare?

But Liara's haters can hate all they like, it's like water off a duck's back.

Maybe Liara's trying to withdraw and shield herself form the impending loss? Doesn't give Shepard a chance to say it back before she busies herself with the casulties? She just needed to say it, knowing it could be the final words she gets to say to her ''bondmate''....*Sniffs* its just not fair, i dragged Shepard's ass through two games with a survivalist attitude and she dies in the end of 3 anyways. such a pisser.

Keep your headcanon strong! It may be denial, it may be delusional, but I've come to the stage where Shepard's story is a mini extension of my own life, not unlike when you were a kid off having adventures in your head. I write my own story, Bioware gave me the material to work with.

Or in other, funnier words :

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

i think Liara does not need to be romanced to get the best Feel for her. she can be a great friend for Shepard. i think most people who romance her Choose to because she can still have a baby w/fem!Shepard.

what do you all romance her, if you do?

That scene only works that way if you did the DLC and rekindled the romance then.  It plays out slightly differently if you didn't do the DLC.  The rest of the scene plays out the same.  Three lines are different.  Now to see how it plays with a new Liara romance.  Using my single femShep for that.  I couldn't romance Liara in the first game because I picked her up after Virmire, so I was hoping to romance Liara in ME3 and we are able to.  If not, it probably would have been Traynor.

Without DLC-dialogue

Liara: You mean so much to me.
Shepard: I love you, Liara T'Soni.
Liara: I, I love you too.

That does makes sense.  After seeing Ash's romance and the end game talk, it seems weird that Shepard doesn't say anything to Liara after receiving Liara's gift.  I wasn't thinking it was odd until last night.  Now I only  need to see Kaidan's romance and I'm all set.

The non-romance Liara puts her head on Shepard's shoulder instead of them kissing during the gift scene.

Definitely not b/c she can have a baby with female Shepard.

It's simple...I love her character and the chemistry between her and Shepard.   Liara has been one of Shepard's most loyal friends throughout and makes for a great lover in turn.  She's my Shepard's rock, man...rock!

I can't see why she wouldn't fall for Liara.

Yep. That's pretty much what I've done for myself. I pretend the star child scene never happened and after Anderson's death, Shepard punches the console and the Crucible does what was intended. Over the radio reports are coming in about Reapers deactivating and falling over. This news gives Shepard enough strenght back to grab Anderson's body and get back to the beam. Here he finds Liara and Garrus, both wounded but alive. It's not long until a shuttle comes to pick them up and medics tend to their wounds.

I won't bore you with my own made up details but the rest of my headcanon involves a reunion with Liara at the hospital and loads of people (among former and current squadmembers) coming by to pay tribute to Shepard as he's recovering in hospital. Marriage of course and Liara and Shepard travelling a lot between Thessia and Earth since they want to help both their people rebuild.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for (a bit cliche) happily ever after endings.
