Well, I've briefly played my Femshep, who Liara walked out on. It seems, again, LOTSB doesn't have any effect on ME3 beyond references. Shepard and Liara are getting close, and romance dialogue can be given, despite what happened. I'm even told, despite players breaking up with Liara in LOTSB, the Liara romance is still going in ME3, unless you shut it down there. Which sounds like a roleplayer's nightmare.
I might just consider making a non-romanced version of Femshep, just so I can get the right version of the romance I wanted.
Yeah, i romanced my femshep with Liara in ME1 and Garrus in ME2 and when i first met in Mars, it had the same romance dialogue, first i thought wait didnt i told you that im with Garrus now.
So you have to breakup with her twice? Ouch.
Why couldn't the non-romance version just play in ME3?
How many people noticed the argument between Joker and Liara Liara: Joker, I am not telling you if my tentacles move!
I remember a discussion from long ago on this very thread, or maybe it was the ME2 Liara thread, where we discussed whether the tentacles could move and if they were flexible. I thought it was awesome that Joker asked Liara and I simply HAD to know so I quicksaved the game and sided with Joker and Liara said they were semi flexible so I got my answer. Then I quickloaded and ofc sided with Liara telling Joker to leave her alone.
I can't actually remember WHEN it happens but it happens in Liara's room. If I'm correct(but I highly doubt that) it's after the mission on Palaven.
Can't remember when it happened either. I walked in on Liara's room after every mission to see if she had some new scenes or dialogue available:P
i took liara on the finale mission with me dos that mean shes dead
If you have low EMS, yeah i think she can die, but if you have high EMS she wont. I brought her alongside in the final mission and she stepped outside from Normandy to stranded planet in the end, ya know space magic

I we only had quicksave/load in our daily lives...

I thought so too. At that point I had been avoiding all news about ME3 for a long time so I knew nothing about the ending that was about to follow. Liara and Garrus were right behind me when Harbinger started shooting. I remember yelling 'HARBINGER!' to myself and after I got hit by the beam and looked around I saw no trace of Liara or Garrus. I yelled again: "No! Liara?! Garrus?!".
Strangely enough I felt something was not quite right about that scene so it didn't bother me for the rest of the game. Then as I was leaning back in my chair, filled with sadness over (what looked like) the death of Shepard and the sheer ridiculousness of the ending, Liara stepped out of the crashed Normandy... So no... she's alive, so is my Shepard. (In the official ending that I refuse to acknowledge as real, making my entire post kind of pointless actually:pinched:)
I just found this, and no I did not spot this but kudos to whoever did.

Look up the indoctrination theory on youtube or find it somewhere on the BSN. You'll find the theory COULD fit the final scenes amazingly well.
This is what you're looking for my friend. I watched this twice, it is well done! You'll be amazed at which lines the person who made this video picked up.

Yes, that's the one I was referring to. I'm not convinced this actually is what's going on but I am mostly convinced BioWare added this POS ending on purpose only to add the real ending later.

I can't agree more, Bioware is not stupid. They want money, yes but they're a company you can't expect less. The writers are smarter than some people like to think. I also heard rumors that the ending was "tweaked" or however you want to call it because the story was being leaked. I would've done the same thing, any thoughts?

It'd be an interesting choice, and one that I could appreciate. If I were building my company's most ambitious, biggest and most anticipated game ever and the ending got leaked I'd probably do the same. Take out the original ending and put in another. At this point you would've been very close to your due date with not enough time to write a new ending, your only choice is to put in an ending that is totally unsatisfactory and doesn't deliver anything that you and your team promised over the years, but seems like it's not actually real, giving your writers en designer team the time they need to build a new ending.
It's a risky move but a sound one if they execute it right. Though there are many things that can still go wrong. They can get greedy and release the next bit of content as paid DLC. They could also keep quiet for too long (though I understand they wouldn't want to release anything right now) causing people to lose interest in the game altogether.
IF they pull it off however then it would be the most brilliant stunt ever pulled in the history of gaming. I would get up from my chair after finishing the 'real' ending and applaud BioWare until the credits stop rolling. Unless Shepard still mandatorily dies and there's no way to get a happy ending with Liara. Then I'd be a sad panda.
