Hey guys, possible random statement and question coming up, but I really like how the squad in Mass Effect 3 interact with each other. You get the feeling that Liara, Garrus and Tali are all quite tight, as they should be after the hell they're been through together. But one friendship has always surprised me.

Wrex and Liara have always seemed to have gotten on very well, and I can't help but wonder why that is. I mean, when she is first recruited in Mass Effect, Wrex comments that her biotics will be helpful when the shooting starts. And then on the shuttle, "I wouldn't have anyone else along for the ride," is a line that immediately springs to mind.

Just strikes me as interesting.

She's a quarter Krogan. He treats her like she's one of his own. And possibly some Shadow Broker help must've been judiciously applied to help Wrex with securing his power on Tuchanka.

Many people had an outcry (including myself) about Liara missing in ME2, they came out with LotSB DLC. Then the outcry about Ash and Kaidan, look at their attention in ME3 (trailer). So that is why. Liara is by far "the" most chosen romance. The BSN isn't the greatest indicator, but even still she is popular on here too.

I think a dev or Hudson said they did the LotSB DLC based on fan feedback.

I think Liara's quite popular on this site...not all Liara fans post in this thread.

True, but when she joins the crew in the first game I'd have thought Wrex would either ignore her, or write her off because she's an archeologist (sp?) and not a soldier.

Anyway, Liara really should've headbutted someone in the game. How funny would had it been if Kai Leng disarmed her, and before he could react, she tapped into her inner Krogan and smashed his nose or something?

Omg lol, that would've been priceless. I thought we would get at least one headbut scene.Did anyone else ever think Aria might've been Liara's father? I thought so before LOTSB..Oh and IVasir being Liara's half-hanar sister, I'm calling it now.

Well it wouldn't have made Lieutenant Bastard Kai Leng any less aesthetically displeasing I'm sure. Although I think it would have been better to be applied in a comedy moment, when dealing with a Krogan.

I mean, Shep's plain human and headbutted a krogan, Liara's a quarter krogan and hasn't introduced her forehead to someone elses face in a violent manner yet. Their kids will definitely be able to sort it out.

Can imagine Liara or Shep getting called in to school every few weeks about... headbutts... =]

No offense but Asia is the smallest market for WRPGs though. So I don't see how that is significant.

Not really, I don't know what it's like in the U.S but here alot of  'asians' play mass-effect. Alot tend to still post on asian boards, even though they live in the west. And it tends to be 'suprise surprise'  Tali, followed by Miranda.

I understand, it wasn't meant in a negative way. I never said she was universally loved, but honestly she is the "most" loved and that is me being as non-biased as non-biased go. Tali gets some hate and she has a niche crowd it seems, although she is loved, but I wouldn't say she has a one up on Miranda or Ashley fans. But Liara (given she was available since ME1 as a romance) was the most romanced then and she got press coverage - via CNN debacle. This only helped, but nonetheless she is the "most" popular in my observation and many others.

Oh yeah and then LotSB only boosted those numbers.

Hahaha, yeah.

Teacher: Your daughters seem to have a bad habit of introducing their foreheads to other people's faces, can you explain why that is?

Shepard: It's genetic, they can't help it. Now, about the angry Prothean that the girls brought in the other day...

Hmnn, I'm still not sure on 'most loved' part.

You're so lucky. The best we got for a launch event was playing ME3 on a full sized cinima screen.

Oh dear oh dear, uncle Javik is in on it as well?

I can imagine the uproar in class if the pet pyjak came along. Courtesy of uncle Wrex of course.

Hell, those girls will be in the most illustrious company, ever. War heros of every race, and they're just the ones who came long for the ride with mum and dad(both Shepards are dads, just ask Aethyta).

If the krogans as a race got a statue for helping in the Rachni War, I'm expecting a space station be built in Shepard's likeness. It'll tour the populated systems, just hanging around the night sky so everyone can see who they owe their lives too. Y'know. :P

Has anyone else played through, with the idea of indoctrination. If you play through ME3 knowing the indoctronation theory the whole game makes more sense.

I was there by 4:30 and I told the manager to expect alot of people. He looked at me like I was crazy but by 10:00 he was panicking. He looked at me and shook his head, "I should have listened to you."

When Ali and Hale arrived you heard the crowd yell ... The actor who voiced Garrus caused screams. He looked really embarrased but signed everything put at him and posed for a ton of photos outside. Kimberly Brooks (Ash) arrived and I couldn't help but salute and say "Chief". She said "Ma'am" back. Yes, I melted.

But this will be the most prized of that night ... Signed by Hale, Hudson & Walters.

I had never wanted to be back living in LA until that night.  As it was, I didn't go to any midnight release, as my wife and I ordered our copies online...

I ordered my copy's online to and i live in Iowa so no major party's.

I don't like the Indoctrination idea. parts of it fit while others are made up or imagined. I prefer to think the ending was a big mess up. I like everything until we walk into lift then it just spirals out...

I wish i could post liara romance .gif as my avatar but oh well.

this just occurred to me even though it would scare me. what would a full human or asari reaper look like? all the reapers look very smiler with minor differences usually the eyes.

we are Spoiled here in the US? I can see some sence in that but much of it is exagerated.

I dunno, I suppose the time they spent together on the Normandy was enough to make them respect each other. Wrex could certainly have benefited from Liara's cool headed analytical type thinking.

It's always possible they are related. We don't know Aethyta's dads name. Could have been Wrex's great uncle or something.

In my canon playthrough, Wrex was with me and Liara on most missions so they clicked. ME3 banter and chit chat fit perfect for that run. It's funny, because they didn't talk much on this Renagon run because I fragged the Gen. cure. Liara stepped between us and looked like she had a head butt all ready for him. She came a long way from cowaring while I fought that Krogan Battle Master on Therum. I don't think I heard him chatting with her at all over the com either, like the previous playthrough.
