Liara is my favorite squadmate of the series. With a romance started in ME1 and re-affirmed in ME2 and LotSB, I'm excited as to how things will go in ME3.

Thanks for sharing.  I just LOLed when Ali said, "No Liara for you." to those that said they were going to play again and pick Liara instead of Ash.  Should have done that the first play through.

Awesome. Though if the statue looks like a Japanese action character with a huge rack that just happens to look like Liara (Like the image in that link for example), I think I'll pass.

She's my favourite among the ME voice actors.

Waking up with a hangover doesn't mean you had a good night. Simply means you drank too much. For all you know, you drank a few too many beers, fell off your barstool, was thrown out and woke up in your own bed, having no idea how you got there:pinched:

Quite a good/funny interview. One thing that sets Liara apart in my opinion is the voice acting. The games are full of tremendous voice acting, but I find hers to be among the best.

Now I know we've been over this over 100 times but this ME3 demo (played with a sentinel this time) shows Liara's current in game face at 10:02. Is it just me or is she just plain UGLY in here? I wouldn't even recognize her as Liara if not for the armor she's wearing

It's just her Mass Effect 1 face. It's unknown if they'll keep it that way.

I wouldn't say she's ugly, she just looks kinda stressed

Maybe it's mostly the angry look she's got on her face. I do assume they're going to change that. Don't need Liara to look like she's in a bad mood all the time. But I don't know. Something about that Liara totally rubs me the wrong way.

The Mass Effect 2 Lair of the Shadow Broker version is 100% my favourite.
The darker eye shadow and lipstick really make her more attractive and unique.

Now this might be debateable, but I think asari have blue lips and Liara ctually wears pink lipstick in ME1

Liara's reaction to the confrontation scene has been questioned a lot for a while. So I emailed Drew Karpyshyn about it, and being her writer for ME1, here's his two cents on it. Keep in mind, he's not her writer from now on (stopped writing for her after ME2), has been written by other writers since LOTSB, and will continue to be written by others and reviewed by Mac Walters in ME3. But when it comes to what they were going for back then, and possible original intent, here's his thoughts:

Sorry it took so long to reply to this e-mail; I'm a little behind on
getting back to folks.

I think Liara, as most asari, is more open minded when it comes to sexual
pratices and how they vary from culture to culture and within specific
culture.

The asari are very open to new experiences, and very comfortable with
their sexuality, so she wouldn't have the same kind of reaction as Ash
when presented with something many humans consider non-traditional.

Liara comes off as the doormat type, I wouldn't say she was on board with an "open" relationship, but she wouldn't immediately react to like Ashley and Kaidan would. However after ME2, I think she would be even less accepting of it, even though she is still the do whatever you want, they'll come back type.
