Okay, replaying this convo made me sad (with Renegade responses).

I wonder what Liara really told EDI?

Kilshrek wrote...

Considering Shep's a soldier, I figured she'd seen enough death to know the score and not be so easily shaken by a squadmate getting hurt. I mean Jenkins got barely a nod whe he was torn to shreds by drones.

In fact, she seemed downright cool when bloody James nearly killed everyone with a shuttle. I can only wonder what her reaction would be if it were Liara who got hurt. Hoo boy.

Different situations.  Shepard keeps her cool in the heat of battle, of course.

Afterwards may be a different story.

James would be in big trouble if Liara got hurt.

Actually...Liara did get injured (we see her limping)...nothing severe though.

That's the problem with short lived species like humans... Remember the salarian and his daughter on Ilium?

Hmm, yeah, I guess. It just seemed to me as a little odd that Shepard would get so hung up over Ashley is all.

Welcome.  :wizard:

At least Shepard gets a chance to smack Vega around some and call him out for being reckless.

I'll give Kaidan this.  He helped Liara up then pushed Liara away from Dr. Eva when she appeared out of the crashed shuttle.

I have loaded NewGamePlusSave (Gibbed's program) and in "End Game State" line is "lived to fight again" in LegendSave is "Not Finished". I think it will be DLC or expansion for it. Maybe it's a little light in the tunnel but it gives 100 points to HOPE Assets :o

Sorry for being a pessimist but that still leaves Liara marooned on some crap planet and no mass relays meaning no galactic civilisation left...

I worked in 3Dmax, with this what they have it's only few days to fix it.

I hear this is just leftover bits from
ME 2. Because it's the same as in ME 2's save system? I don't know, I'd
love for there to be some actual ending DLC, but the silence does
nothing for my hope. And the fact that they're taking feedback over the
endings implies to me that they felt that was the way to end it, and
didn't expect that people would notice their choices were taken away
from them.

That's just me being cynical again though.

My friend told me that BioWare "bosses" are disappointed how the game ended - must ask him for source. If it will be true they are working on DLC.

Is that confirmed? last I heard is that Casey Hudson said they're evaluating what to do and "where to go".

They already had a plan for a post ME3 DLC (live to fight again flag) but all the suggestions from fans will possibly add to the pile. A good thing in my book.

As for the LI rescue; not. It's the other way around. Shep is buried in rubble and likely bleeding to death, so I think he/she will be the one in need of rescue.

One of the things Liara says to Shep; run away to a distant planet... (Does something similar get said by the other LI's? or does Liara plant that suggestion even if not romanced?)

Convenient that 'running off' is Shep's last thought and that the LI is there on that jungle planet (with enough EMS) no mater if he/she is in your squad or not during the final push on Earth.

I don't know what the odds are that they would crash on an uncharted world with a breathable atmosphere, but it has to be astronomical; especially without Edi.

In the war room after Mars, after talking to Hackett. She was really cold with Liara. Or maybe it was just me. Well, she didn't snap at Liara, but after being all lovey dovey a day ago on Mars, it was a bit of a shock to see her so businesslike with Liara all of a sudden.

I actually think Shep's attitude in that in scene is more a reaction to the Reaper's invasion of Earth. Shep has just seen what s/he has spent the last 3 years warning everyone about happen and knows that they aren't prepared. Shep had leave Anderson behind on Earth after seeing thousands slaughtered in moments and Liara is the outlet for a some of Shep's pessimism over whether the Crucible will work and if the Council will actually lend Earth any aid knowing that this could be the end not only for humanity but all advanced sentient life.

Heh, didn't quite look at it that way. I was just so annoyed that she needled me all the way through Mars.

"I shouldn't have to explain myself to you, Ash"

And then she needles me some more! <_<

Made me angry is all. Then I bought her a Tennyson collection. We should be good.

While she was in the hospital though, what manner of hospital puts their patients in form fitting shirts when they're recuperating?! I mean, isn't that bad for the circulation or something? All that constriction around her chest? Even Kaidan gets to go half naked.

There's also the chance to express this frustration right after the first nightmare I think. Oh well. I think I've made too much out of nothing really, everyone can safely ignore me now. :innocent:

Edit : ManShep players, how would you rate Jason O'Mara as the face for your ManSheps? I would melt.. I don't know about you. Erm.. moving on.

For my Shepard it fit because Ashley not only stepped in to save her girl from the whack job robot but also because they are friends who are going through a rough "relationship" patch. Ash has been there from day one and EW Shepard understands her friend's hesitation to believe. Heck, even EW isn't sure that she is really her at times after waking up from the Lazarus Project. She has her own doubts and a part of her believes that if she can win her friend's trust back, have her friend believe in her again ... just maybe she can believe it too.

Liara and Ashley have an uneasy alliance that is neither love or hate. I love the little smarmy things that they say to one another on missions ... it reminds me of my best friend and ex. Well, without the bullets, reapers and banshees. I would love to hear the dialogue between the two after Thessia when Ash goes to comfort her. And if the indoctrination theory is correct ... Ash/Kaidan were proven to be right about all their "concerns".

As to that scene with your squadmates dying ... Had I seen Ash & Liara die on that final run that would have made me chuck my controller at my TV. Image IPB

I enjoyed Ash and Kaidan. They didn't become BFFs with Shepard again after one talk.
And speaking of which.
I was wondering if Liara has a banter with Ashley on the Normandy, like she has with Kaidan?

Just wanted to throw in my hand with the Liara/Shep partnership. In the first game it seemed like the most natural pairing and just so "right". The young, slightly awkward and formal Asari scientist who falls in love with with the heroic human Spectre who saves her. Maybe a little cliche but I don't care. :P

Much love for Liara.

You give them to the VS during the first visit you can talk to them.  Kaidan only gets a bottle of whisky.  Where you have a bunch of choices for Ash.   Make sure you buy the right one.

I don't remember hearing any.  I have only done 1 run with Ash, so I could have missed it or don't remember it.  I did a lot of bad things during that run.  I'm trying not to remember what went on with that run.

Just logic, but thanks. I keep finding more with every playthrough. I'm on 3 now. My pure Paragon. This one should be an inadvertent 'flirt with everyone' nightmare.

I need to tie in Steam so I can take screen shots. I can't understand why more are not questioning the blatant use of Ash or Kaidin's body; whoever died on Virmire (in their default ME1 armor) to create the 'rubble' by the two Mako's just before the beam.
