I enjoyed Ash and Kaidan. They didn't become BFFs with Shepard again after one talk.
And speaking of which.
I was wondering if Liara has a banter with Ashley on the Normandy, like she has with Kaidan?

Never saw Liara and Ashley speaking in the Normandy. What's her banter with Kaidan about?

Something like, pushing or pulling people around with biotics, is a decent attention grabber.

Sadly, I only saw her one time leaving her room, to have a drink with Garrus. She is a workaholic, alright...
(Didn't count Javik's cutscene.)

It would be awkward to have slept with Liara's father.. I don't see any explaining that one.

That made me very angry. In my first playthrough I bought the chocolate, the flowers and the asari book for Liara.
I thought, I get at least a hug from her... what a fool I was! [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/crying.png[/smilie]

Yea, I was hoping I could dish out the gifts for some lovin'. DAO!!!

My current PT Katharine Shep does not like Ash much. Shep sees her as a bigot even if a little less so and what amounts to an opposing force that would work against the multiracial galactic force Shep is about to bring together. She can't have detractor distractions like that on this mission.

Horizon is also still a recent and very bitter memory; especially since 'Shep no brain that day'. She visits when Ash is unconscious, but won't go back until the confrontation. We'll see how it plays out from there.

There is a lot you can explore with the characters. One of the best moment was when my Shepard was super angry with Joker and later she could apologize to him.
Sadly with some of the Liara dialogues, you only miss out with the Renegade options. I'm not very pleased and I stopped trying to find some good Renegade dialogues with Liara. :(

Liara doesn't like Renegades anymore. :(

You know you're in trouble when you'd rather hang out in a Liara thread than read your textbooks on Cellular Pathology and Histology.

Mordin, help!

And I couldn't bring myself to make any renegade decisions when it comes to... most things really. Paragon Shep disapproves of Renegade measures. Unless it's to stab an uppity Batarian with a shock stick. Or when someone threatens her girl.

The dialog with Joker after the mission in Thessia is brutal if you pick the "renegade" option, although it's very fitting at the same time considering what's happening down there: Thessia being destroyed, Cerberus in power of the information about the Catalyst, etc.

That part with Joker was also one of my favorite parts (and back then I didn't even realize the girl the Asari commando was talking about was Joker's sister)

It seems to me with the romance dialog, top was positive (as in, I WANT YOU YEAH!) and bottom was negative "not interested".

I didn't see it as a paragon/renegade thing in that context.

My Shepard is going pretty Renegade this playthrough and Liara still loves her.

I like the cute dialog on the Geth Dreadnought..just heard it again.

Liara:  Are you alright Shepard?

Shepard:  Were you worried about me?

Aethyta - you are lucky my little Liara. Shepard is very good in....
Liara - in what?
Aethyta - in bed.
Liaras's face priceless
Shepard's face with red hand blueprint.

Of course my shep is faithful. No sleeping with daddy :pinched:

Does only Liara say that (or romanced char)?  On the dreadnaught?  If so, it's a nice tidbit to the relationship thing and kudos to Bioware for slapping it in.  Little subtle things DO matter, sometimes more than the big blatant stuff.

Red hand blueprint from Liara?  You wish.

Nope it'd be singularity blueprint on Shep's behind. That one Liara would've gotten from her father:pinched:

She actually asked that quite a few times and I totally loved it. I think more was needed. When Liara is on the commons I think having Shep lean against the railing and maybe kiss her on the cheek and then look out over the presidium would have been nice... even if it was the same every time it would have been better than the cold 'nice to see you' or 'hello Shepard'

I also had no problems with her during my Psycho Renegade Shep run, although she (Shep) was much more of a Renagon by the end of ME2 LotSB and because of ME3 by the time they 'committed'. The gift was red, which was cool.

I have one other pure renegade and I don't think the renegade trend will stick. It's too detrimental to the war effort and Shep is just to duty bound to mess crap up. I guess we'll see when I get there. I'll try for full renegade, but only if it provides me the resources and EMS Shep needs.

Yep, they should have implemented different "short" or small interactions between LIs rather than using the general ones.

Most of the time that's true.
But then I played the romance scene...

I mean the Paragon path is high quality and a Renegade gets copy paste dialogue.

Alright so I'm working through my second playthrough and I'm talking to everyone all the time to make sure that I don't miss anything on this playthrough. I visited Kaiden in the hospital and was talking to him and he made some comment about me flirting with him. Was that in jest or am I beginning to go down that romance path? I've been talking to Liara however I haven't "locked it in" yet and I just want to make sure that I'm not going to screw it up.

You'll know when you lock in to Kaidan.  I paragoned Kaidan in my first run and talked to him first on the Citadel after returning from the coup attempt.  He told Shepard how he felt and he got turned down again.  He got turned down in ME1 too.  You'd think he would have gotten the hint then.  <_<  2nd run, I talked to Liara to locked her in first then talked to Kaidan.  Talk with him is better.  Shepard called him a brother.  Works for my canon femShep.

Hm ok, thank you. The remark surprised my because I'm playing as a manshep, and while I'm really glad that the option for a Kaiden romance is there my loyalties lie with Liara. :)

Remember you have to speak to the Volus Barla Von first or she doesn't appear. That's why I missed her the first time.

Holy crap!

The dialog with Hackett on Cerberus changes as you get further into the game. I just asked Hackett about it after Pavlin and Shep is confident and her voice steady. Instead of 'what if he's right' she says 'it won't stop him from trying.' in regards to controlling the Reapers.

I think I know why the wheel has no neutral dialog now. In repeatable conversations, there has to be a chitton of alternate responses based on Shep's mental state as the game progresses. I'll have to explore this more to test it.

Blue love!

I don't remember much from Hackett's talk about Cerberus. Only his very vicious talk about the Illusive Man.

"Kill him! That's an order"

I can about see Ladyvader smiling when that scene came along:whistle:

Also I missed a lot of stuff, Aethyta being among them. Also I never found flowers or an asari book anywhere to give to Liara. If I ever do a 2nd playthough I'll have to be more careful looking around on the citadel early in the game I reckon.

I asked Sylvf if you can get back with Liara, even if you broke up with her at the beginning of ME3, and she said no. Guess I'm going to have to redo my Renegon one day, and not romance Liara in ME1 in order to get the version of the romance I wanted.

I bought the flowers and the chocolates (hospital) but was never been able to 'give' them to anyone. Is that option not available with a romanced Liara? Does it happen at a certain point? If so and I have the stuff, I must not be hitting the trigger 'visit' point even though I visit everyone after missions... Easy to miss stuff in a game this size I guess.
