Yep, Bioware made the best endings.

wait? what? Liara is a smoker? well Katelynn does not go for that so, it is either Samantha, Kelly or forever alone.

Bioware: Endings that make children cry.

You could probably use that to scare kids, "Hey, if you don't clean your teeth i'll tell you about Bioware again"

The cigarette is always there and always lit for some reason.

I don't think they were trying to intentionally show that she smokes (if they did, they'd show her smoking).

Someone needs to put that cigarette out.

Oh, those cigs. I'm with Rob here, those are there all the time, even when there's no one in the lounge, same goes for the cigs on the poker table. I though you guys meant Liara was really smoking/holding cigarette/something like that, which would clearly imply she's a smoker.

Nice, i found my motivation to do another playthrough, just to see Liara smoking.

Edit:Ah, so it's been there before, i was little worried back there..

Depends at which point you believe the indoctrination thing came about.

Personally I'm in the camp where I believe that the entire end section was the Reapers attempting indoctrination and it only starts from the point after which you get hit by the laser blast. Therefore no prior indoctrination exists, although the exposure broke down some of Shepard's "mental barriers" so to speak.

Sigh, I don't know what to believe anymore. I finally finished the game. I was putting it off for as long as I could, even though I knew what would happen. I'm left feeling rather empty, and I don't want to get my hopes up for a DLC or some sort of explaination. Jeez... I just feel weird now.

I know this is the Liara thread (obviously) but I also know many people in here hate the ending with a passion. I saw this link somewhere on the board and it's among the best and most serious reflections on the ending. Thought I'd link it for everyone here if you've not seen it yet.

So here it is. Hope BioWare also sees this.

Back to regular topic: I wouldn't put any bets on Liara actually smoking. It doesn't fit her. Plus like we just sort of confirmed those cigarettes are there all the time:P

Garrus + Tali, Joker + EDI, Dr Chakwas + Greg, Shepard + Liara. edit : Forgot Ken + Gabby as a possibility.

Seems about right.

I suspect if Shep had known about the ending she wouldn't have waited till just before Cerberus base to be peeled out of her uniform.

Liara can smoke after sex if she wishes.

My Shepard usually needs one...melding is intense XD

I know this is way super late and OT but the tattoo convo with Vega didn't bother me that much. I flirt like that with my friends a lot. Besides no ME dialogue could ever be more horrid than femshep talking to Jacob. THAT I could not sit through.

Anyway, uh, Liara is obviously a quarter krogan, Blue babies for everyone except PMC, and go team blue.
