I also don't see her or the other teammate abandoning the mission.

If
Shepard does actually die, I would think they'd continue towards the
'magic beam', past Marauder Shields, up to the Crucible in order to push
the button.  It's odd that they'd just say 'screw it' and leave.

We finish this, no matter what. Then as Shepard lay dying there, oh, erm, they're all dead sir. Really? Ok let's go. Gee, way to give up guys. Lousy pricks. <_<

Joker, though a dear friend, may not live to regret abandoning Shepard. 'cause, y'know, Liara?

@Kilshrek

cue end game rant:

Im thinking the scene is open like that to allow for all the variations of the ending. Her being on the Normandy at the end if shes your LI, I mean.

I would guess shes on their becuase she dosent exactly know what happened to you and got caught up in some evacuation to the Normandy after you got hit by Harbinger and were knocked out for a bit. Not everyone died, Anderson said he came in after you afterall. So people could have moved around during that time.

After that, I guess she could have known from Hackett that your on the citadel at very least.

And for flying away at full blast....Its probably because the scene is ment to fit all permutations of the ending, one of wich is a giant explosian that kills everything. So cue general dramatic Normandy running from DOOM scene.

I have a crazy Idea that , based on their short FTL travel time and proximity to a jungle planet, Its the planet of the lost colony of humans in the Alpha Centuri system (mentioned in the Cerberus News updates) that was recently rediscovered.

In my ending I picked distroy, with a high EMS value, So Shepard survives and I can at LEAST pretend there is the possiblity of Shepard and Liara reuniting after they fix some ships again.

And call Hackett to get me off the ring section of the Citidel that im stuck on! that seems to stay intact at least, and dident seem to be headed into the Earth so it should be ok.

Even if its a GIANT cliffhanger, at least it has some Hope for them, and an eventually Sap filled happy ending that I can headcannon;P

I was happy mostly that Liara survived to tell the truth.

This is my ME3 endgame rant...

I admit guys...Im usually not one to complain about these things, but the ending left me a bit unsatisfied. And damn does it get depressing. I truthfully wanted something with a little happyness, Im a fictional hero dag nammit. And the other endings are giant cliffhangers too.

So this is twice now that Joker has done something which has screwed Shepard over. First, taking too long to leave the Normandy at the start of ME2, and now flying off (with our squadmates!) in ME3. Stuff like that really do taint what is actually a very likeable and fun character.

Oh aye, she lived, that was very important. Shep AND Liara dying would be an unforgiveable sin by Bioware. Of course, Destroy is the only sensible option to pick, none of the others make rational sense. Control the mad creatures? I truly wonder how long a mortal mind can last against a machine intelligence like that. Synthesize? Steaming pile of .

Headcanon is probably what will really get us through this mess. That doesn't make it any less satisfying, or make me feel any less cheated, but we do what we can.

At any rate, there simply wasn't enough explanation for the endings, which for all the talk of not pulling a Lost, managed to do exactly that, or worse.

In all honesty, I didn't hate the endings (At least I 'survived'). Somewhere in my mind Liara ends up finding me, since she crashed on the strange planet with Joker and Javik. What I didn't like was how that little clip at the end of the credits, with the old man and child, completely smashed my hopes of Liara and Shepard ending up together. All because they had to make it clear that it was not possible to travel anywhere but the planet that you're on. So Unless the Citadel crashed into that jungle planet, my femshep and Liara are **** out of luck...... DAMN IT.

If Liara really did decide to smoke, or drink, inside the ingame fiction would any of you hold that against her?

Out of curiosity. I think I heard some people mention they wouldent like her smoking.

Personally I dont think she would really use much of that stuff anyway, but I wouldent 100 percent rule it out either.

I wouldent kick her out of the bed because of a few crumbs...ciggs...whatever;P Is what im saying.

People who smoke do NOT care about themselves, which translates to them not caring for others. If you smoke around your loved ones, then you must hate them or are terribly neglectful which to me translates to hate.

So no, because I know she loves me, she does not smoke.

I also thought the StarKid was trying to trick me anyway...

And at least Liara made it away with Mah babies:) Muahaha! Mission complete.  (in my headcannon);P

The control ending felt a bit evil to me, and cant be sure what will happen in the long run.

Also Im kind of in favor of that Transhumanism idea....but comeing from the thing that was trying to kill me? Nah ill just wait till we can do the same on our terms. I like this in theory...but also Im not sure i would want to FORCE this state on EVERYONE. I want some of the people to reamain normal at least for a reference and breeding pool of baseline biologics.

Wouldent transdimensional Space Gods be a higher form of life anyway? Material bodies are for chumps! Oops sorry maybe too far out there;P

And the mission was to blow them up anyway. IMO its the only outcome that you can really predict what happens.

Thats some of my thoughts after just recently beating the game.

The endings kinda aim for the crotch imo.

I dont think they ever made it clear you cant travel anywhere but the planet your on.

The kid just asks "Can i go to the stars too?"

And the Grandpa was like : "someday"

There isent really a way to tell if this means, Oh little timmy when your older, Or sorry Timmy its not possible.

And this is much ferther in the future, so I think it very much so leaves it open to Hope in your Headcannon:)

All kinds of things can happen inbetween then end and the end Stargazer scene imo. We dont know how far in the future that is.

Like I said, giant cliffhangers;P

hi again guys!! It was too long since I came here regurlarly to se what you said and your impressions about our lovely blue angel!
I just finished the game today for the first time, and I liked my ending. I went with 6300 War assets and I chosed the destroy reapers ending, with Liara and Both shepard alive... yeah I know without Mass relays they can't see them again but who knows, maybe in some future... they will be together...

Just one hint, does someone knows who's that astronome of the post credits scenes? because there's none reference of it in both 3 games...

and for my return, there is some pics:

Great fan art in this thread. Thanks for taking the time to create and share, folks.

I'm pretty useless when it comes to that sort of thing, though I do like to write and am tempted to pen a Shep/Liara fic.

I asked Sylvf if you can get back with Liara, even if you broke up with her at the beginning of ME3, and she said no. Guess I'm going to have to redo my Renegon one day, and not romance Liara in ME1 in order to get the version of the romance I wanted.

That sucks.

Part of me wants to replay the whole trilogy...then part of me remembers the ending and doesn't want to bother.

Oh, the ending didn't ruin that for me. It was a good journey, and I'll enjoy going back, and replaying them all.

I just don't like it that I'm just going to be playing the same romance, expect with a sex change. I wanted them to be different romances, with their own drama and setups. But oh well.

Any chance that a few certain freecam screenshots you took that sadly was taken down could be brought back?

We really don't know what happened, what if Hackett (who was in contact with Shep once inside the Citadel) ordered a tactical retreat because the Crucible was going to be activated?

Sooo. Just did Liara's project on a renegade Femshep. When Liara said, 'She was a leader, who knew when to be pursuasive, and when to apply pressure.', I wanted to answer with 'I've got fond memories of the last time you put pressure on me.' SO BAD.
It's implied. Use speculation! ;)
That can be taken with so much double entendre. Well, renegade Shepard is of figuratively "applying pressure" with those in disagreement.

Why do people hate on Liara's face time and importance to the trilogy? I swear people just can't enjoy their LI's content and leave Liara alone. So much for maturity. Even before LotSB, we were very civil and didn't resort to personal attacks on other characters or their fans. So typical of the BSN.
