thanks both Deltaboy and you for answering. I didn't remember it since I've never played a ME game without romancing her... I feel that "impossible" to do

Does anyone think, as me, that Liara is one of the best game character dessigned (not only appeareance, but her writing in all 3 games) from all videogames history?

The problem is, unlike the other characters, Liara is the mega romance, and the most important character in the series. Not only was she the daughter of one of the bad guys, but also was the one that helped you find Ilos. And was a squadmate and romance in ME1 for everyone, with an extended sex scene. Then she saves your life in a comic, and has not only a cameo role with side missions, but also has a DLC where she was a temp squadmate that becomes the Shadow Broker, and continues your romance with more sex. And then, in ME3, not only is she still the Shadow Broker and a squadmate, but she's also the one that finds you the Super Weapon, and the only character where you can have sex with her for the third time, and doesn't have clothes on. And takes you through her memories. And makes sure you'll become a legend.

She is the best romance in the ME series, and the most important character. And damn straight she'll give you more bang for your buck.

So people who aren't romancing her, or don't like her being a bit upset? Extremely understandable.

My PTSD suffering Sole Survivor Shepard hasn't romanced anyone yet up to the end of The Arrival. Wanted to keep it that way in ME3, but I'm considering making that character go with Liara too.

Is the "Friends doesn't cut it for me anymore" dialogue option really not a bug? I mean, after romancing Liara in ME1, staying faithful in ME2, doing LOTSB, and staying with her in ME3, it doesn't make much sense to me.

It isn't, basically that happens with all the LIs, it's just to give the player the option to pick who they want definitively.

Depends on which one you're talking about. The first one early on is a bug, yes.

But the "friends doesn't cut it anymore" line later on (after she asks you talk to her there) isn't.

Out of curiosity. I think I heard some people mention they wouldent like her smoking.

People who smoke do NOT care about themselves, which translates to them not caring for others. If you smoke around your loved ones, then you must hate them or are terribly neglectful which to me translates to hate.  

So no, because I know she loves me, she does not smoke.

Wow, I go away and so many pages to read. Cool! Smokers are not evil creatures and there is no "type" ... smokers are like chocolate lovers, shoe shoppers, etc. People from Jennifer Aniston to Barack Obama smoke so ... you must also remember in the ME time smoking no longer is harmful.
 
In my headcanon Liara is a closet smoker which she took up on Illium ... When Shepard came back she hid her little habit which EW knew she was doing. It's one of those little "elephant" games that lovers play. So when my run through Shep walked in and saw her sitting there with that smoking cig in the ashtray it cracked me up. If I ever play EW then that scene will take on so much more life with EW trying to pretend she doesn't notice and Liara trying to divert her attention.

And if my heartbroken nephew calls me one more time ...  Poor kid and his pain over Tali and his crew. A sad, sad day it is.

There is actually cool scene relatively early on where are in her quarters, and she eventually sits on your lap and gives you a quick kiss. Shame there wasn't more like that

Yeah, she's like "Oh, I'm going to call him "Friend" and only get close to him when he puts some work into it. And then, after weeks of only being called "friend", and only a tease, he'll go crazy, and commit to get the full package. Mahahahaha!"
