I'm sorry that you had to see the ending. I know exactly how you feel right now. It's been half a week since I finished the game and I still can't get over how horrible the ending was.

To answer your question: I feel there is more to come. The difference in quality between the first 99% of the game and the final 10 - 15 minutes is so huge that it has to have been done on purpose. Obviously I can't say this for sure but I hope for BioWare's sake that my hunch is correct.

On the positive side, Liara was, once again, amazing. If I'm going to do another playthrough some day then it's going to be to relive the Shepard X Liara story again, it was really that good:)

Also i think we ran out of ryncol 200 pages ago high demand on that stuff recently. *rubs chin* wonder why...*rolls eyes* 

I really do not know. Grunt says Ryncol hits humans like ground glass. Well that's the same feeling I got from the ending. Why would I take ryncol to relive that?

On a completely different and random note (because that's how I roll), how come the pages beside the title of this thread blue? Is it intentional or some wacky, yet awesome, coincidence?

The ending looks rather... contrived - as if something was cut and replaced with 3 buttons for nominal "player choice". I've read stuff about the original plot being about dark energy rather than technological singularity (which shares the same moral dilemma of value, and suffering, of sentient races now vs value of potential sentient life in the future)

As for the uniformly bleak endings, my money's on the powers that be commissioning an artistic ending (with, presumably, no test screening), followed closely by the risky gamble of deliberately enraging fans to sell ending-fixing DLC.

That 'quality' or seeming lack thereof is the key to understanding the ending. If it seems out of place, it probably is. The big problem with it is the feeling of dread and hopelessness it gave many players, myself included. It was difficult to go back. Once you are able too, however, you may start to see a trend in that ending that many of us have, and draw some hope from it. There isn't really 3 choices at then end, there's only one. Given there is only one 'correct' choice (Unless based on how you want to canon Shep, you let them get indoctrinated...), it's not actually the ending, but the beginning of the end of ME 3.

The more I think about it the more I want a Citadel liberation mission and 5 ground skirmishes. Earth, Thessia, Palaven, Sur'Kesh, and the Hannar home world. I want to see it... more if they could fit it, but that would be one huge endgame DLC after adding in the real 'few years later' epilogue; that hopefully has a bond/marriage ceremony + kids option based on earlier romance dialog choices.

One of the best mission in the game was on Tuchanka. It really felt like a front line war with the mortar fire and I could not believe how freaked out I was. Shells exploding, gun fire, dirt flying. It was truly an amazing sequence and the first time I really felt 'the war'. As short as it was, not even the entire London run held a candle to that sequence.

That's called an expansion...or they could call it ME4 where you play as another soldier* fighting the different battles (we could have playable races!) and once you get at the ending you have to beat the crap out of indoctrinated Shepard to defeat the Reapers.

*Or maybe as a ShadowBroker agent...

I loved that Liara is worry about Shepard after him seeing his other squadmate, Ash getting injured badly. I just find it sweet and emotional.









I don't know if you guys have seen my first Liara video. I would say it still one of my favorites that I made and it's very well put. Ashamed it isn't well-liked as my Tali video. I used the score music from Star Trek TNG's episode, "The Inner Light" and "Remembering Jenny" by Christophe Beck.

I was actually hoping to find a course on how to write a good fan fic, since I'm thinking of writin one myself~!
Starting with early Military, then maybe a few bits from a "ships log"
from ME1, some more stuff from ME2, like LotSB kind of time wise, some
words from the time just before Shep turns herself into the Alliance,
then another "Ships Log" for ME3, and change the ending so that my Shep
gets to settle down somewhere, and have a rather unique family, with
adopted children from every race, and a Geth butler(just for the hell of
it)...

Rough outline for it, but yeah that's where I think I'll be going with it.

Thank the Goddess I'm not the only one who saw that.  At first I thought: "No, no, no, not that again!", but the scenes after that were so....rawr... <3 

Yesterday, before going to sleep, I was listening to Rebecca Lavelle's "Gentle, gentle" (a song from the "McLeod's Daughters" soundtrack, maybe someone knows this series from Australia) and I couldn't help myself but imagine my FemShep holding her little blue asari baby daughter in her arms. Keep your headcanon strong, guys!

I love Archengeia's video, you can tell he's just as upset with the ending as the rest of us (plus he plays a FemShep who romances Liara!). Really like his idea for how ME3 should of ended. His vision of Shep and Liara flying off together to explore the galaxy alone is fantastic.
