Yeah, I felt a little creepy reading them but the back info to every character added a lot of perspective. To be honest I detested Miranda during the main game, but after reading her dossier I started liking her. 

I liked Miranda, but I guess it's just the male instinct in me that liked her.

But yes, they definitely added a bit of perspective, a bit of detail, something I often enjoyed with all the planets as well. Not that I felt Mass Effect 3 lacked any character depth, because from an overall perspective, I found character depth to be the best in 3. 1 was the best storyline, 2 was the best overall gameplay and complete feeling, and 3 was the best character wise.

During the main game she lacked a lot of "human touch" to the point she ended up being obnoxious in many respects (reading the comic prior to playing the game and seeing how arrogantly she treated Feron and Liara didn't help her either), but reading the profile and thinking a little about her past life you can see how that attitude was nothing more than an emotional shield against the rest of the world. They added a lot of humanity to her character in the SB profile. 

Oh I agree, also if you go back after saving her sister, the small conversation you can read between the two adds more to her sensitive side. I love the part where Orianna goes "He's different" and Miranda replies "I hate him already" XD

I don't want to play a single shepard either. My first Mass Effect 3 playthrough focused on romancing Ashley (Mostly because I was taken by surprise in how stunning her looks was upgraded, so I simply had to try and hump her). Disappointingly enough I failed at that romance, no idea where I went wrong.

Either way, currently working my way through Mass Effect 2, after romancing Liara in 1, and I went to the Lair of the Shadow Broker as soon as I could to continue the romance with Liara in 2, now the rest of the game just lacks Liara too much.

In order to romance Ash or Kaidan, you have to kiss their ass somewhat to get them to believe you.  Which they already should believe Shepard.  Shepard wasn't lying about the Reapers and VS should know that. 

I found Liara's romance was down right perfect.  Outside of the bug where Liara says years instead of months.  Every scene didn't need them kissing or holding hands and I really enjoyed the time capsule scene.

EW & Liara both are very honest and sometimes they don't agree. You see bits of arguments in the game with Liara always giving in. Just once I would love to see her stand by her guns. But in my headcanon she does at times which is a good thing. But they do love one another and respect each other.

No no no, I didn't mean that at all. I may have overreached in my analogy.

Although I will say that I have come across relationships that are nothing but arguing, and I classify those as abusive, because it's emotional abuse, but that is irrelevant to our topic here.

I kind of play Rachel close to my own heart, whimsical in the wears heart on the sleeve kind of way, fiercely loyal, and sometimes too pushy. But she'd never ever do something to hurt Liara, because a hurt Liara is a hurt Rachel. She wasn't appreciative of the attention from Liara after she's just rescued her, after all she was the daughter of Benezia, but those blue eyes and her awkward manner had their own charm.

In the game Liara probably still has that schoolgirl crush she always had on Rachel, but the Shadow Broker role surely must have hardened her somewhat. Mars? She bossed Rachel around after she saw Rachel's vacillating over Ashley. She takes the lead when she has to, otherwise she's happy for Rachel to do the heavy lifting. That's what all those Cerberus upgrades were for after all.

Yeah, at first I started the romance through Mass Effect 3 instead of through 1 and 2, so it had the whole feeling of a sort of "Friendship that developed into something more" to it, which just made it that much better. The time capsule had me a little emotional to be honest, but just about any characteristically important part of the game did that to me.

LOL!!! And here I thought that you had a "rough" relationship with Liara. I agree that a relationship that has nothing but arguing is a no-win situation. That can be really rough. But if two people are being honest with each other they will have disagreements and that is healthy ... as long as they work through them and fists aren't involved.

I'm afraid that Liara would beat EW in physical combat since Shepard isn't a biotic. But neither would raise a hand at each other or yell too long ... they would rather kiss each other.

Can't hit you ... male Shepard was odd to me but I needed him to love on Ash. I've grown to like the guy to be honest. And no, she only calls male Shepard Skipper ... she uses "ma'am" for female Shepard and it's sexy to me. That's why when she said it to me in person I melted. 

EDIT: Kilshrek .. I don't remember her calling femShep Skipper ... hmm.

No, I've never heard Ash call femShep Skipper.  I think she only says that to broShep.


I'm not a fan of Ashley even though I did create a broShep to stay faithful to her.  I didn't do the same for Kaidan, but it looks like BW took care of that issue for me:huh:.  

After meeting Mark Meer in October, I'm now a fan if his, yet I still don't care for his Shepard.  I've always tried to be fair and play with both and try to experience everything the series has to offer.  I've been a fan of Hale for a long time.  It's too bad Ali Hillis had to back out of that Con.  I did meet Troy Baker aka Kai Leng.  He is uber nice too.  Everyone I met was so nice to us fans.  We are a lucky bunch, I think.

I only have the vanguard.  Lucky for me, vanguard also has stasis.  Stasis + sniper rifle = Dead Cerberus, Geth, and Reapers.  Well, maybe not the banshee.  I hear that screeching and I run the other way.
