Maybe Ash is still ticked off about finding Shepard  working with Cerberus and she found out it Liara was the reason for it.

Something to ponder.

Wow, you do work those angles!

Yea, I have a very vivid imagination at times.  Too bad I can't draw for crap.  I can write though, so I'll stick to that.

About Javik.  He said that to my broShep with Ash too. Not bonded, but he commented on how they are together.  I think it all part of their sensory ablility.  He knew about Grunt, Jack, and Miranda just from roaming about the ship.

Helloes Liara fans. Been a while since I was in this thread, but I liked it when I was here before the game was released. I keep thinking of how there's never going to be any marriage, old age and lots of little blue children, and it brings me down. Was hoping someone here would cheer me up...

As long as they're still in the DLC development phase there's always hope.

I had Garrus with me on Thessia. He kept pointing out how all the statues of 'a goddess' really looked like a Prothean. How every piece of art seemed to depict a Prothean. Liara wanted to hear none of it at first.

What kind of dialogue does Javik have? Does he outright say right from the start that his people influenced the Asari when they were primitive?

That's weird...  I brought Garrus to Thessia and didn't get any of that.

Or maybe it was Vega?  Either way, I knew I couldn't have been the only one who saw the statues looking like protheans.

Do you have the From Ashes DLC? otherwise I don't know how Garrus could know how protheans looked like when not even Liara did before meeting Javik.

Well she was barely an adult. Which kinda affirms why Liara is the perfect romance. Young (probably 18-19 by human standards, the perfect age for most girls in terms of hotness in a lot of cases), hot as hell, clearly willing, and for the males at least.. a virgin. There's 4 wins in 1 girl, and her ****** got bigger by the years, 5 wins! Great personality, 6 wins!

I thought that was kind of sweet actually. No one else seemed to really acknowledge my romance with Liara even though they'd been together from the start....

Absolutely
adored that little, sceptical squint of Liara in ME1. Would have loved
to see a reffernce to it in the other two games. *have to look for that
screenshot now

I think it was most likely a bad
graphical design to be honest that caused it, and they made up for it.
However I could've sworn, on Ilium that I saw Liara have a small
tendency for the eyelid thing in certain angles.

Personally
allways thought it was something they got out of a general face motion
capturing session and didn't bother to remove ... but error or
deliberate, I like it anyways :D

I can dig that, sometimes it's all we have between us and the full horrors of the world anyway.

And.. yeah, he did, didn't he? I always felt that was just a bit creepy. I mean, when I'm... with Liara... he knows?! That's....

Apparentl he says this for anyone who's in a relationship? Read ladyvader's post above.

Wrex does! Never a finer bro than Wrex.

Even Garrus makes no comment, it's disappointing.

Yeah, he's quite a good character to have around, but I feel bad that it has to cost everyone else $10.

@cohina - I've seen people wearing Buddy Holly glasses with no lense and was confused. A friend tried to explain that they were "cool" but I couldn't stop laughing. Shame on me ... I know.

*Goes to google images and types in Buddy Holly *

See, that's what I've been trying to say here. Women wearing glasses are hot, like we discussed, but only when they're wearing them because they have poor eyesight, not because they look "cool", 'cause fake glasses don't look cool, on anyone. It's nice to see someone agrees with me here :D.

You haven't reached the end of the game yet? Then I'll give you a fair warning: For all that's holy, and to stop you from falling over crying, do not... and I mean DO NOT continue playing after the 'goodbye' scenes on Earth. You'll know when you've reached that point. You do not want to experience the ending first hand...:(

Liara even in human ages is older than 18-19.  Very few at that age have a Ph'd, which Liara has.  If you go by human terms she would be in her mid-20's to late 20's and even for older humans, people that age are still barely a child.  I am in my mid 40's and I see people in their 20's and I still see a kid.

Liara and Tali both matured quite a bit over the course of the games.  Liara got harder after Shepard got spaced.  That changed Liara the most.  Losing her lover or friend.  Depending on if you romanced her or not.

If you listen to Samara in ME2, she says asari hit their sexual maturaty around the age of 40, but it seems they don't leave home until they are over 50.  The asari on Illium mentions she is 60 and finally out of her parents house.  That would be an 18-19 in human terms.  Liara had been studying the protheans since she was 56.

Kaidan does after Thessia.  When you talk to him and Adams after Thessia and after you talk to Liara, he mentions he is glad Shepard is there for Liara.

No, some things have to be experienced.. I won't say don't do it, just do it with someone around..

I don't know if I should be laughing or crying at this, or maybe both?

Also, one of my favourite comedians has something to say on virgins. Warning, strong language and controversial topics. His virgin talk begins after about a minute.

Billy Connolly talks

She had allready finished university at that point and was researching protheans for what - 50 years? So I'd say she wasn't THAT young. :)

Well I certainly like it just as well, no harm done. But I do like proper eyed Liara as she is now. More time for those damn blue eyes. *catches myself staring at them again*

Dammit, and here I thought just as I turned 20 nearly 2 months ago that I could finally be considered an adult properly!

But I guess you got a point, in terms of the education and all. But you have to remember, she did have quite a few years in advantage to us. Considering you're generally considered an adult by the age of 18-20, that's why I went with the idea that she is 18-20. Which would've also been a little bit backed up in terms of how Liara's face and body continues to slowly change, considering the body still grows a little bit in that stage (say she's 18, I believe the body grows till like the age of 20) and the face continues to evolve. She's reached that sort of like young early - mid 20's hawt as **** type.

Also regarding hitting your sexual maturity at the age of 40, which I'd say somewhat hits around the age of 15-16 I'd say the chances of Liara currently being in the early 20's is even more likely, but that's just me.

Also Tali I'd say is a tough nut to crack in terms of maturing. Yes she finished her pilgrimage and became an Admiral (right? Tali is one I never truly paid attention to..) , but not much physical changes, or it's kinda hard to see under the mask. Which is one thing I find funny in terms of the people romancing her, and the thread of hers, it's hard to find new pictures, because there's not different facial pictures, no matter where you go... mask... mask... mask.

*shakes fist* My eyesight is fine and I wear glasses. Granted, they aren't buddy holly frames and they have lenses but still. I don't wear them because they're "cool", I wear them because they look good on me. Now back to Liara's boobs...or face or whatever.

I got that impression from the way you reacted. It's not how I initially thought of Liara, and it's not really why I like her either. But if you had to be shallow and quick about why you decided to romance Liara in Mass Effect 1, there's your answer.
