My best advice: try to keep up. There is a new post about every 5 minutes. It is like a IM in here.
Also, have lots of Liara-pictures for when you hit top of the page ;)

Can't believe I made the fan group and haven't posted here in two years.

For shame.

Is this legit, or just fan-made sort of thing? And if it's legit, how do I get this!?

Liara even in human ages is older than
18-19.  Very few at that age have a Ph'd, which Liara has.  If you go by
human terms she would be in her mid-20's to late 20's and even for
older humans, people that age are still barely a child.  I am in my mid
40's and I see people in their 20's and I still see a kid.

Liara
and Tali both matured quite a bit over the course of the games.  Liara
got harder after Shepard got spaced.  That changed Liara the most.
Losing her lover or friend.  Depending on if you romanced her or not.

If
you listen to Samara in ME2, she says asari hit their sexual maturaty
around the age of 40, but it seems they don't leave home until they are
over 50.  The asari on Illium mentions she is 60 and finally out of her
parents house.  That would be an 18-19 in human terms.  Liara had been
studying the protheans since she was 56.

Dammit, and here I thought just as I turned 20 nearly 2 months ago that I could finally be considered an adult properly!

But I guess you got a point, in terms of the education and all. But you have to remember, she did have quite a few years in advantage to us. Considering you're generally considered an adult by the age of 18-20, that's why I went with the idea that she is 18-20. Which would've also been a little bit backed up in terms of how Liara's face and body continues to slowly change, considering the body still grows a little bit in that stage (say she's 18, I believe the body grows till like the age of 20) and the face continues to evolve. She's reached that sort of like young early - mid 20's hawt as **** type.

Also regarding hitting your sexual maturity at the age of 40, which I'd say somewhat hits around the age of 15-16 I'd say the chances of Liara currently being in the early 20's is even more likely, but that's just me.

Also Tali I'd say is a tough nut to crack in terms of maturing. Yes she finished her pilgrimage and became an Admiral (right? Tali is one I never truly paid attention to..) , but not much physical changes, or it's kinda hard to see under the mask. Which is one thing I find funny in terms of the people romancing her, and the thread of hers, it's hard to find new pictures, because there's not different facial pictures, no matter where you go... mask... mask... mask.

Human females hit their sexual mature between the ages of 11-13.  Once you start your monthly cycle, you are able to have children.  That is before 15-16.  I was 12.   Same is true with males.  First erection is hitting the sexual maturity in males.  Age varies like with females.

Liara is out of school and working in her field for 50 years.  No way is she equal to a 18-19 year old in human terms.  Mid to late 20's I can see, more late 20's than mid though.

Not really.  Men continue to mature and grow until about the age of 25.  Women stop before that.  I grew 2 inches between 12 and 18.  Grew fatter as I get older. :pinched:

If anyone was a teen when they first met Shepard it was Tali.  And even then Tali was 24 I think.

I also think asari think all maidans as barely a child until they are over 250 or closer to 300.

I always saw her as being equivalent to a human in their late 20s/early 30s as far as emotional maturity and life experience goes.

It's hard to compare asari vs. humans.

I was refering maturity wise more to a point where you'd be considered more responsible for your actions and stuff alike, rather than just when you can have children.

Meh, she just doesn't look like the type of girl that would be nearing her 30's. I mean, especially if you have to compare in terms of how humans live for like 100-120 years in Mass Effect, you'd imagine 100 years would technically equal the age of 10-12. Obviously it'd indicate that there's quite a bit off, but still she's so young when comparing the length of the 2 species lives.

I don't remember how much I grew, only know I became quite tall over the past couple of years. I'm 186 centimeters (I don't know what that is in feet and inches)

Well yeah, Tali was most likely around the teenage or early 20's (as well, I'm still sticking with a young Liara, call me stubborn :P)

Yeah I saw her as a comparable age to Shepard, which was why Shepard might have been a little surprised to find out Liara had never slept with anyone before.

I know it is.  I do get annoyed when people say Liara is a teenager in human terms.

That would be like comparing humans and salarians.  Humans live up to 150, salarians 40.  Mordin said his nephew was tendered at the University at 16.  Which is about middle age for a salarian.

Liara nearing her "30s"? I can't see that at all. She was way too naive and sweet in ME1. Plus she had a baby face. She couldn't have been more than 23 by Asari standards.

Mass Effect 3 Liara looks closer to 30s though, which is ironic. It's only been 3 years.

I never saw Liara as naive in general; mostly in regards to humans and dealing with other people.  I don't think that's an age thing for someone who's been isolated from others for a large portion of her life.

I want to ask you this.  How many 18-19 years old do you know with a BS or BA degree?  Let alone a PH'd?  Don't feel bad, it isn't the first time this has been talked about.

We are talking about one species that lives up to 150 and the other can live over 1000.  They are hard to compare.  Liara seems to me to be that was focused on doing her work.  She wasn't around others that much and worked alone mostly.  Her notes on the Protheans in ME3 even says she thinks they are now childish.  But that doesn't make her a child.

I know many people older than I am that still act like a 5-year-old.  Some peope never grow up.  Liara was not use to being around other and that is what makes her seem younger than she really is and her comments didn't help any.  But for the asari, I'm sure even at 109 and as mature as she is, they would still consider her barely an adult.  When you live for 1000 years, being in your 100's is still young.
