Friendship version? Gotta say it is awfully sweet for someone who has not romanced Liara. I'll probably never see this version in game so I don't really mind but I can see why some people keep complaining Liara feels 'forced' on them.

I guess, still wouldn't really sound right to me. Simply going by "Shepard" is what we've gotten so used to, that it'll be hard to adapt to calling him / her anything else.

Ash says that she is going to talk with Liara after Thessia. Poor Ash gets less time then Kaidan and I think part of that is due to Kaidan becoming an s/s. For all the Ash fans who fought her becoming open to female Shepard I think it ended up hurting them more than helping. That's unfortunate because Ash deserved better than what she got in ME2 & ME3. Just my opinion.
 
Liara also comments on how Ash has become more able on Mars but it felt a little jealous on her part when she said it. That felt weird since I was playing femShep ... it made me hope that I might have a chance but nope. No dice. They did have some funny banter between the two though. 

From the Male Shep friendship side of things, I was very disappointed that Ash didn't have much content once you bring her aboard. I was hoping to see some crew members talk to her, but she seems to want to keep herself isolated.

And yeah, Liara was definitely jealous on Mars.

I do not mind the cuteness but for a scene that's meant for friend-zoned Shepard, I feel it may be too much. For a Liara romance playthrough, anything goes really.

To be honest I had hoped for this sort of scene where Liara rested her head on Shep's shoulder, Shepard puts his arm around Liara, but only after the Reapers were beaten, the two of them were safe and were looking at a new future together. 

And yes like I said several times: I like 'cliche happy endings' so there!

If I were Shepard in that situation and Liara were "just" a friend, I wouldn't really mind that she's showing that she cares. That's what friends are for.

I think at best what they could've done was to use the default names. John and Jane. So 4-5 times through a playthrough you'd hear Shep called by his/hers first name. Would be a nice touch. Of course, it would mean you had to use the default name.

There's a funny, almost 4th wall convo with Chakwas concerning the use of Shep's first name.

I liked the game anyway, and it may be seen as a tad crass to simply assume this is the answer and go with it, but damn... I'm sold
Good-ol' Mass Effect. Bioware actually have made something great and weren't just marketing a new space-opera - despite what the nay-sayers think of the Asari
So, yeah... Thanks for clueing me in on the concept.

I don't see anything creepy in that, I mean, when no one's looking, I do stuff  at home that is much more weird and creepy, I just don't record it . I think that is actually kinda cute, you know. (did I just say cute?? I never use word cute, damn it.)
