That's not really the issue.
Shepard can't even try to argue or ask any more questions (especially about the Synthesis ending...if I were someone like Shepard...I'd be asking a load of questions. For instance, how do you merge the synthetic DNA when they kind of lack DNA?).
The choices are kind of ridiculous and it's odd that Shepard would just accept them so easily.
