Agreed. It can't be fixed. Bioware will just gradually transition away from talking about it, choosing to describe it as a "passionately debated" ending, instead of the steaming pile of BLEEP that it is.doozer12 wrote...
Every piece of content they release that could maybe explain the ending is going to be hollow and pointless in my eyes and not worth my time and money anymore. I honestly don't think they can fix this.

I want a good chance at a happy ending. In ME2 you had a chance if everything went right to get through the suicide mission with everyone, ofcourse if you messed up big time you could lose everyone..Our choices mattered then.I want our choices to matter more than @$%%##%% multiplayer.
I want Shepard and Liara walking along a beach when a little blue daughters comes running up yelling(little girls do a LOT of yelling when little)Daddy,Daddy I found one!Handing human a sea shell."It's for Uncle Mordin, you know so he can run tests and not be bored."
My headcanon ending would end roughly like this:
Liara and Shepard's first daughter is becoming a little fascinated with war stories and already expressed her interest to becoming a commando when she grows up, looking up to her mom's awesome biotic powers (You know Shep's kid is going to be pretty darn awesome herself one day)
*Shepard is reading the latest news while sitting on the couch when Shepard's daughter runs in*
Kid: Dad! Daddy! Tell me that story of how you and mom saved the galaxy again?
Shepard: I've already told you that story so many times... sure you want to hear it again?
Kid: Yes dad, I love that story.
Shepard: Well angel, have a seat. You see, it all started when the ship I served on was sent to Eden Prime. At that time I hadn't even met your mother yet...
Kid: Was there anyone else on board yet? What about uncle Wrex?
*Liara can be seen in the background, shaking her head a bit. She then looks up through the window, watching the horizon, smiling as she listens to Shepard retelling the story of their great adventure*
THAT is how this story should've ended. And that's how it ends for me. Like someone once said: "I reject your [BioWare's] reality and substitute my own."

My ending would be something like a cross between the "Fifth Element" and "Last Samurai". With the hint of the ending of "Serenity" thrown in, plus maybe a little bit of "The Island" ionno. Followed by a hint Liara is carrying something special. Interpretation!

My theory is that the Crucible was leaked by the Reapers. The reason why is that the secret weapon that destroys the reapers requires the AI that's controlling them to play ball. If it didn't want Shepard to win, it would have told it's Reapers to destroy the Crucible in the final battle. It wouldn't have gave Shepard choices. Hell, it would have altered the Citadel years ago, so it wouldn't work with it anymore.
So it's clearly allowing you to win.
I think if you wait without taking any path you get a "Crucible has been destroyed" GO screen.
Trying it right now. It's been 25 minutes. Nothing's happening. I even shot at it. So I think that video might be fake.

Bioware has lost my trust, and my wallet - theres nothing more that needs to be said. Backto blue everybody! Cmon, it's the only good thing left from this series that makes the time spent playing this game for the past 5 years bearable - let's light it up!

What do you hope for Liara after Shepard dies of old age? she would be in her 220's or so, she still has so much life ahead of her, personally I would like her to move on and find someone to spend the rest of her centuries with, Shepard will never be completely gone as there will be the blue (grown) children, but I don't think I would like her to spend the rest of her 700 years reminiscing of Shepard and those times.

Don't worry, just get all the lazarus project data from Miranda and rebuild Shepard with replacement parts as the time goes. As the hero of the galaxy I think she has no trouble finding the best parts that even money can't buy. She's already part synthetic, shouldn't matter that much to just continue doing that.Andronic0s wrote...

Brain detoriation could be a problem, unless the Geth gift her some huge servers to host Shepards brainwaves. If she stays exactly the same inside, only the looks changes, love survives.
In a few hundred years, Shepard the Terminator!
And thankyou for a new editing idea.

For me there are only 2 ways she handles Shepard's aging. She finds a way to speed up her aging so she won't have to watch everyone she cares about die so she can die around the same time as Shepard, Garrus, Tali, and the rest. Or she spends the rest of her life focusing on her work and children and waits to join Shepard again.
That's just me tho (as unrealistic as it is lol)

Well, anyone who watched the LOTR movies would remember that moment when Elrond confronted Arwen about her immortality and Aragorn's mortality.
But Arwen was willing to give it all up, for the sake of their child. She saw happiness in the future, and would give up eternity for it. Less than ideal, but I think their children would be the focus of her life after Shepard's passing. Plus, with all those cybernetics and genetic upgrades, who knows how long Shepard may actually live?
Personally I'd think Shepard can live up to 200 human years, on account of all her upgrades. Maybe even more if she's careful. It may not be much, but after the chaos of the Reaper invasion, every day of peace spent together may as well be an eternity together.

I think she'd be quite a bit older tbh. Humans can reach 150 years of age, as said in ME1, with medical science improving at a rapid rate, the life expectancy would become 'a lot longer' very soon. Also Miranda lives longer than the avarage human due to her upgrades. Shepard's got the same upgrades, only mechanical so I think he'll live quite a bit longer than the avarage human, meaning Liara will also be older once Shepard eventually passes.
Also remembering a previous discussion where some people felt Liara was already hitting her matron stage (as defined by a willingness to start a family and settle down, both of which Liara shares), there's a chance that, if this is true, she'd also leave this stage behind again much sooner than regular Asari. She might not even be interested in settling down again after Shepard passes.
Though I hope that, whatever she does later in her life, she finds happiness of course. Be that in her work or with a new partner. Or both.

I agree with this. Though I wouldn't oppose Liara finding a new love either. Neither would Shepard, she would want Liara to be happy. <3

This sounds about right for me, I imagine Liara spending the rest of her life with her daughters. Also, I agree Shep would probably live to be pretty old, which is nice because that means being able to see the kids grow up to adults.

In my times around the BSN, I've always noticed this thread and because I was always fond of the diminutive archaeologist, I approved.
However, with the endings being what they are, I decided it was time to come out of lurking and toss in my support and admiration for the best freckled asari that Bioware's made.
To get the whole ending deboggle out of the way; I'm convinced Casey Hudson's ego told him that the endings we got would be good, because he thought we'd like them. He tried to be Stanley Kubrick and he ended up as M. Knight Shamalamadingdong.
I do not accept this.
My headcannon demands Nora Shepard defeats the Reapers, saves the galaxy, then lives the rest of her long life in obscurity with Liara and her little blue babies!
And being a writer myself, I may not have any Liara based fanfiction to share, I do have one in which she plays a minor, but vital part.
http://www.fanfictio...enum_ibi_evacua
The story 'Ubi Venenum, Ibi Evacua' is a story focused on Kelly, set in the world we knew before ME3 was released.
Bear in mind, when I get out of the funk the endings put me through, I will write more and Liara will be there, because our befreckled blue doctor is one of the main reasons why I love ME so much. XD
Also, if anyone wants to befriend me on Origin so we can do the Multiplayer, by all means, toss me an invite. I didn't think I'd love the MP, but I do. Kudos to the team that did it.
EDIT:
And by the way, HAPPY 900 PAGES!
