The games code is broken. Thing is Liara should have recognized your rekindling of the romance at the end of LotSB. There should have also been no 'friendship' option either if you stayed true to her in ME1 and ME2. It should have been "I love you" or "We need to go our separate ways".

So, the dream thingy. Bit watered down and rushed due to lack of motivation, but I figured I'd upload it anyhow.

So, this is a big question, one that drives me crazy. If they were to invent a simulator-device in a few years that would simulate virtual reality with whatever theme you'd want, and you could be in that simulation for as long as you wanted, since 5 minutes in the real world would be weeks in there... would you leave your life behind to live in that simulaton with Liara fir all eternity? I know this sounds unrealistic and all, but who knows? I actually think they'll invent this kind of thing sometime in the future... but perhaps not in my life time. Honest answer :)

ionno.  Im not saying i wouldnt be tempted, but there in lies the danger of virtual reality.  Like video games, they do threaten to take over the true reality of life.  Its blurs the lines.  Would having a romance with Liara - our favorite fictional char make it worth it? ....eh no.  She's still a program.  She will operate within expected parameters.  As much as id want to believe she's real it would just be a star trek holo-novel to me.  I would go with a no :(  better to keep her a fantasy.

I'm thinking of a virtual reality that is just perfect in every way. It would be exactly as you'd want it. No bugs, no predictability, no evil. Just you and Liara. Think about it, you've already spent countless hours with her in a videogame where she's in love with the character you've made. Do we really have anything to fear? Isn't reality what we make for ourselves? Of course, you could end the simulation at any time if you'd feel uncomfortable. I know my answer. I'd stay there for a long time. Why? Because I've already come to the conclusion that there's no possible way I can ever love a human being the way I feel about Liara. Would it be crazy? Not if it was just like reality.

random question... I loved the jealous talk with Tali and your love interest on the Geth Dreadnought... but why doesn't Liara say anything when Jack just outright kisses you?

She definitely will eventually.

Well, at least the good news is that she's just angry. Unlike with VS, where it can screw your trust points, and force you to kill them.

So big question what do you think Liara's impression of Humanity's classics would be; in my canon i think she would find some like Homer to be interesting, would probably love Shakespeare even if it has been alienized (With pondering thought: To be or not to be that is the question), and has a thing for cinema especially the well made love stories like Casablanca, and some of the better made war films if only to get a better grip on the culture that Shep was razed in (she is a little researcher after all), also she has a hankering for Wagnerian opera and would enjoy being able to go to the Bayreut Festival with Shepard once Earth and everything is rebuilt. Atleast that's what i think she would enjoy (mix of my own personal tendency's and what i think she as a intellectual/romantic would be interested in) So what about the rest of you guys What Human classics/entertainment in general do you think Liara would enjoy?

This may be a attempt to get us away from the endings

Edit:  still at work will put a top pic when i get home in two hours k please forgive the delay guys

I would show Liara 'Saving Private Ryan', just to show her our dark history. If she went sad seeing all the death, I'd comfort her. I only want her to be as happy as she could ever be. Maybe I'd show her Inception aswell.

I'd probably do Inception I think it's a modern day classic plus it might explain the ending, Shepard was just having a dream inside a dream inside a dream.  Saving Private Ryan is a must though probably one of the best war films i've seen with the exception of Enemy at the Gates and just above Paths of Glory (even if it isn't as gory as the other two it's still beautifully shot and I'm a huge fan of Kubrick)

not really a movie, but what about the band of brother's series and the pacific?  Tuskagee Airmen might be one to throw on as well as schindlers list (although that one might be a little Too depressing)

I would say BoB or the Pacific series too. And for the movies, for example Black Hawk Down, Platoon, Jarhead, Winter war or 9th company, when we wanna go with the war stuff.

Yeah, I would have preferred the "I love you" stuff to happen earlier.

I kind of wish there was something there at the moment if you brought Liara to Grissom Academy... would've been better.

See my post on the top of the page. I'd almost certainly totally do the whole virtual reality thing. I don't think it'd be very good for society, but the temptation would be too great.

Honestly I couldn't resist that temptation for a "perfect" life in a "perfect" reality. Given the option I can't see any reason why I wouldn't go for it.

Oh, sorry, can't believe I missed your post. And btw, I feel EXACTLY the same way about it. You basicly took the words out of my mouth. I know, if more and more people would be drawn to it, we wouldn't have anyone left here to keep us alive. But thinking about that a few days here would mean a lifetime in there... it wouldn't hurt society to just be there for a while, would it? And honestly, if it was possible to achieve that reality with Liara... I'd sell my soul. If I would get too attached... I actually don't care.

How do you know you aren't in a machine right now? What if we all actually are Asari's looking for some human meat, which would explain why we are in a human world. =]

Ah, glad I checked in here to find out what was up.

I had the same bug issue in the game with Liara seeming to not remember that we got back together during LotSB. When she said "it's been years since we were together" or whatever it was, my reaction was basically "wat".

Do we know if it's something that's going to be fixed?

See, THAT'S EXACTLY MY POINT! There's nothing to define what's "real" and what's not. For all we know this reality is dsigned by some bored-to-death school boy in a reality beyond our comprehension. If I were to escape into yet another reality, would it make any difference for the stability of the one dimension that keeps all of these realities together? No, it would certainly not. It would only bring consequenses to the one that we're in right now, and it sucks, right?

Anybody know why Udina is on the Mass Effect 3 council, even if I choose Anderson to be the councilor in Mass Effect 1?
