*stumbles in and sees over 13 pages to read* "Sweet Mulligan! Really?"
First ... I am not clinically insane because of the "no blue babies" stand. *shakes fist*
The Lightspeaker - Those weren't choices ... but if I must, choice 1. Both alive because at least there would be hope.
Adding "clarify & closure" ... what does that even mean? Why am I worried that Bioware will only make this worse. Do they understand that they need a Shepard lives option for some of us to be able to even replay it? Sorry but a hero does not need to die to make the story "real" or "art". You want me to replay and purchase more Mass Effect stuff? I must have a hopeful ending not "Shepard dies". Who cares about Omega or any other DLC if Shepard rots anyway? Just sayin'. And this ending was not an EA or deadline problem ... endings should already be decided before they start. This is what BIOWARE thought was a perfect ending.
And if you loved/liked the ending cool. Bioware should hear how the ending impacted all of their fans .... good, bad or indifferent. Neither the good or bad should try and shut the other side down or tell them that they are "idiots".
I never could get into Dragon Age ... not into magic, dragons or the like. Tried Skyrim and loved the open world (beautiful) but the story? I didn't finish three missions. Same thing with KOTOR. Tried but it just didn't hold my attention. Mass Effect is the only game that has held me 100% captive.
And why do we keep arguing over the ending? Give your theory and then move on. Until Bioware clears up what they intended (if they even know themselves) then rock on with your own ending.
I think Liara's "gift" was her giving that final strength needed if Shepard is to succeed. She saw that her mind was slowly fading into the reaper's grasp but instead of talking about it she gave her lover "asari" strength in hopes that it would help. That is just my theory in relation to EW Shepard and not gospel. So ........ waiting on Bioware to make up what they meant.

CaptData - Hi Ash buddy! Sorry I missed you sneaking into the Liara thread.
moreeman06 - Sorry but jlb524 is an omni-toolist. That is her religion.
jeJ-K &
IliyaMoroumetz - Welcome aboard!
Andronic0s - I see EW Shepard dying in her 80's to be honest. As to what Liara does in the future? I see her following in her mother's footsteps ... great teacher and leader of her people. That to start. And yes, she would have new loves and blue babies with others later in life. That is what EW Shepard both wanted and hoped for when it came to Liara.
As far as what Liara would like to read in human terms ... Agatha Christie for the mystery and history books. As far as a movie ... Indiana Jones would be my pick just to tease her. But I don't really think she would be into "human" films. EW Shepard would prefer to see her films & have her read her books out loud to her.
Dude on Fire - No. I like my life ... Mass Effect is just a great play addition. but I'm sure that there are many who would jump on board.
And finally! All caught up. Now off to a late lunch with friends. So happy 20+ plus pages while I'm away.
