That would lead to uncomfortable implications and tension on board the vessel that would not be tolerated. I suppose Liara was very wise to not say anything about it. I mean, she knows about it right after, anyway. Liara not mentioning it rather shows that she's very very capable of taking the high road, though I despise the term.

I guess you are right, she handled the triangle confrontation in Mass Effect 1 pretty maturely as well (in contrast to Ashley for example), but it would've been interesting to see. To me at least.

I'll thank you to remember that this is still a military vessel, after a fashion. I may allow my crew to shag like mad, but I will not tolerate jealousy or sexual tension that can affect performance. Heh.

And that's what I adore about Liara so much, and why I could never do anything to hurt her. Even a cheating Shepard gets nothing more than a mild admonition, it's.... mad! If I found my girlfriend in the shower with another girl, getting it on rather hurriedly, going by their state of dress, I don't think I'd just say, I have no time for games.

Far from insane. I found it very easy to relate to the whole thing. It's funny how it works..

Great article, I totally agree with everything you wrote! Proud Liara fan, proud Mass Effect fan, proud Bioware fan. No matter whether they change the ending or not they have given me something no other game has, emotional attachement. This does not mean I don't want to see my little blue children.

If there is an ending called "The Truth", I imagine it might be about James, EDI, and Liara trying to find Shepard after the retreat was called. Only to discover Shepard is either in a coma, or gone insane through battling indoctrination. Your team then decide to rescue you, and finish what you started by going to the Citadel. Along the way, we go inside Shepard's head as he continues to battle indoctrination, which involves him endlessly making choices, and returning to where he began. Eventually, Liara goes into his mind to try and save him, and switches the Indoctrination from Shepard to her. Which puts her in the coma instead. Giving Shepard the chance to awake, and put an end to the Reapers himself. For killing the Reapers is the only way to save Liara from indoctrination.

Thank you. I was trying to make it as clear as possible but it took me like three hours to write so by the end I was constantly having to edit out bits I was repeating.

They hold hands in the final romance scene, right before the "Now go away!" / "Let's make us some luuurve" choice, I think.

There is nothing 'sex' or 'bomb' about Butterface Shepard. Unless by 'bomb' you mean what you would use to kill it.
