That would lead to uncomfortable implications and tension on board the vessel that would not be tolerated. I suppose Liara was very wise to not say anything about it. I mean, she knows about it right after, anyway. Liara not mentioning it rather shows that she's very very capable of taking the high road, though I despise the term.

I guess you are right, she handled the triangle confrontation in Mass Effect 1 pretty maturely as well (in contrast to Ashley for example), but it would've been interesting to see. To me at least.
