There is nothing 'sex' or 'bomb' about Butterface Shepard. Unless by 'bomb' you mean what you would use to kill it.

Come on admit it ... you want that Shepard. Nothing smoother than butter! Image IPB

Perhaps. There was this one time I had the urge to slam my hand in a sliding door to see how much it hurt. Probably similar to that. However, this curiosity would definitely kill my cat.

The Shepard family is such a cute pic.

Would Liara want to hold on to her family name though? Does this sort of stuff really matter, in the future? I just came out of a little debate with some friends last night, and it appeared to me that all but one (of the girls) didn't really care about the "family" name. The girl who disagreed said she'd never take her husband's last name. She'd hyphenate, because she wouldn't want her family name to die out.

I wonder, would your Shepard be happy to take on the name T'Soni? Would Liara be happy to be called, Mrs Shepard?

Discuss.

Yes. Nora Shepard, by the end of ME3, would be so horribly disgusted with the legends and what not about her, she'd be happy to take the T'Soni name. She'd happily live in obscurity for the rest of her life, since she's done her part and she's ready for an early retirement to focus on the family.

Need someone to save the galaxy? Get someone else!

In my headcanon they each keep their own name.

Same here. I do not see the point of them blending surnames. Both of them should keep their original name.

Given that I dont like the name Shepard I would jump at the chance to have mine become Julian T'Soni

But I don't think it would feel right for my Shep to enforce a human costume on Liara, nor on the blue children, which given that they will be technically Asari I would be down with them following Asari naming traditions, unless Liara specifically asked for sometihng else, can't say no to Liara

I prefer for both Shep and Liara to keep their surnames. Unless they choose to change their surnames by themselves.

Eh I don't tend to think that much about the naming issue. Heres one. Who would've been happy with a Frodo-like ending, for Shepard? No matter how I look at it Shepard is going to have some serious mental issues in one form or another.

Only if Liara and her omni tool join in.

I doubt it's even important anyway - at least in asari society. Matriarchs seem to drop the surname, so it would only be important for the childrens' identity. Eventually Liara would be just Liara.

And those kids would have it rough either way - Shepard or T'Soni, both very big names in galactic life.

Totally ok with that. Liara's love would help her recover.

In my fanfic she takes on the name T'soni-Shepard. I think it just kind of clicked. And it was her decision. At least in my fic.

I actually like this, quite a lot. Yes.. a very appealing notion.

I suspect, on the balance of things, the Shepard name would carry much more weight than T'Soni though.

Yeah, I mean, PTSD is a definite issue. But I'm sure Liara will be able to help her work out the pain. And as they say, time heals all wounds. Perhaps not all, but Liara and some little blue kids would go an extermely long way towards healing all the hurt the galaxy has thrown at her.

Also Yuqi, I think you forget that Frodo carries the wounds of his fight against the Witch King, and the burden of the ring on his soul, rather than physically. The hurt never actually shows. A Frodo-esque ending for Shepard would be amazing on all accounts. Frodo eventually left Middle Earth to travel to the West, to the undying lands. He also left those he loved behind, but that was no bitter parting.

You know what? I would have killed for a Stardust ending. The book, not the movie.

On the name topic, it's something that hasn't really crossed my mind at all.
Personally, I see them both just keeping their own name, simple as that.
Liara Shepard T'soni...maybe!

But I can also see Shepard taking the T'soni name, and leaving 'Shepard' behind with her old life, and have it be a part of history while she goes on as a T'soni, I don't know. It's too late for me to think about these things.

Mine, too.  Although, in the fic I'm working on, their daughter took the T'Soni name.  Maybe they'll alternate with each kid?

Me as well.  To me they are both too well known in their own right to have any type of name change, but any kids they have together have T'Soni as their last name.  I felt it would be easier for the kids than having Shepard.  Savior of the galaxy and all.

I think it would be tough with either name so they should just pick a random popular one like "Smith".  :innocent:

Cause someone requested it, here's another on-the-run sketch of our favorite blue cradle robber as a kid. Sorry I got incredibly lazy with the background and the color scheme. Guess why it's called a sketch.

Anyone thinks Asari doesn't wear brassiere?
I mean it's not just a coincidence that in both ME1 and ME3, Liara doesn't have anything on herself in the love scene, but FemShepard and every other females do.
