Even though I'd never want to see Liara get hurt, I feel they should've gone the DAO route there. In Origins if you side with the templars over the mages at the first or 2nd choice, you're forced to kill wynne. Same happens when you chose to defile the urn of Sacred Ashes. Leliana actually attacks you if she's with you and you're forced to kill her (even if the Warden is in a romance with her - Heavy stuff).

I don't expect Liara to go that far as to attack you for betraying the Krogan or your squadmembers but I wouldn't mind it if Liara opposed it and got angry or disappointed with you if you did so. Though Liara did become more paragade-ish during ME2 and Lotsb so she might not even care all that much.

I don't think ME1 Liara would understand considering her view on the Rachni Queen. But she's grown up a lot since then, got a little jaded even. Listening to Liara's comments about the Krogan I got the impression that she hopes curing the genophage would be a good thing but she isn't convinced.

To be honest I feel Liara's reaction was the right one. I felt the same. All the time I thought: The only thing that matters is to destroy the Reapers. We'll worry about the Krogan later. When seeing that amazing old Krogan city and how Eve just calmed the entire pack of Krogan present, combined with how Eve said the women used to be much more prevalent in more peaceful times, I figured there might be hope for the Krogan.

Still they'll require a strong leader or a massive change to their society to stop them from rebelling again when their population expands. Even though they could always NOT have that many children. Seems the Krogan never thought about that one. No matter what Wrex and Eve claimed, curing the Genophage was still a gamble, I feel Liara was right to be worried.

Having a party scene in a new ending, with Liara, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Miranda and Joker sitting with Shepard around a table, while Jimmy Vega and Jack and all others are in the back, doing party stuff, having the ability to talk with everyone again, and get REAL EFFING CLOSURE, before ending the night with expressing your never ending and indescribable love for Liara (followed by a love scene with a love theme that tops EVERYHING from before)... that would be perfect...

For me this was a really tough decision to make, made even harder by Mordin :crying: but ultimately Shepard believes that the genophage is a necessary evil (in an ideal world the Krogan wouldn't have been uplifted by the Salarians in the first place) and gaining Salarian support made sabotage too difficult to pass up. Of couse this bit Shepard in the arse when Wrex found out.

Hello again, folks!

Here's yet another render from me, continuing off the scene between Shepard and Liara post-Thessia. As I always felt that those with Liara as LI should've had a little more dialogue/comforting, I decided to depict some in this render.

Image IPB

Also, with the help of a friend of mine, I've improved on those last two renders I posted here significantly enough to warrant posting them here again, so here ya go. ;)

I cured the genophage, believing the Krogan had been punished enough since the genophage had already lasted for about 1000 years. Exactly when does Wrex find out about your sabotage? Immediately after the tower blows up?

Does Liara say anything during the mission? (I assume you took her with you XD)

Question - if you cheat on Liara in ME2 and reconcile with her during Lair, how does that affect things in ME3? Does your ME2 romance ask about her, or are you automatically friendzoned and locked in with Liara? And is it different if the ME2 romance is a squadmate in ME3 (e.g. Tali, Garrus) or not (e.g. Jack, Miranda?)

Oookay, 10 new pages to read again and that was the slow part of the day
So not reaching too far back:

1. I'm pretty sure Liara or other Asari in her age could have kids if they wanted to, matron stage or not. They clearly have a sex drive in that stage and as far as we can see (not even counting certain parts of the interwebz ) the organs needed for successfull reproduction too (way to make sex sound not sexy btw:D). From an evolutionary standpoint that would make little sense if they weren't at least theoretical able to get with child in my opinion. If they want to is a different question.

2. I missed a Liara hug after Thessia too. I can see why Shep wouldn't do it since s/he is pretty stressed and on the edge herself in that moment. On the other hand - especially in case of romanced Liara - it would have been a great chance to see them both find comfort in each others company.
And I think the depicition of Sheps mental situation was allready pretty good. There was more than one instance were Liara had to snap her out of it or just tried to give her new strength. So no complete breakdown of Shep required in my personal opinion :)

3. Not sure how Liara would react to Shep betraying and killing certain people. Think it would definitely bother her but I could see it go in wildly different directions from there, depending on head canon.

4. You're a true blue-eye-philic, hollow! :D (Ok, guess most of us are)

5. Many great pictures, thanks ya'all!

6. Last but not least:

Should be all for the moment, now off to grab something to eat.

I don't know for sure.

I think both romances are still active but you have a chance to reject Liara early on (if you want to romance the ME2 person).   As soon as you lock in a romance with someone you can't pursue another.

Don't know if Garrus/Tali say anything.

I sabotaged the cure (My Shepard thought a new krogan rebellion would be a question of when, not if), but Liara didn't mention it. I think only the dalatrass and Shepard know the truth (even Hackett thinks the genophage is cured).

It looks like that's where the individual tiled pieces are stuck together.

Not sure how to fix it.

Yes, he was dead in my "canon" playthrough. But even Wrex talks about a Krogan empire and new colonies. Considering that asari space isn't far away from Tuchanka (the first rebellions started because the krogan attacked an asari colony)...I think Shepard could convince Liara

Right...it would definitley be a concern for Liara or any asari.

I think the only issue would be going behind a friend's back (but Wreave isn't Shepard's friend so...)

I had no qualms or ill feelings after decieving the krogan with a fake cure with wreav in charge - that one is definately going to bite shep/galaxy in the ass (eve was also dead...sigh).

And happy b-day kilshrek!  *scrounges for a photo*
