[Sunday Afternoon. Neither Liara nor Shepard knows how to cook.]
"By the Goddess Shepard, what are we going to feed the kids when they get back from Garrus and Tali's?"

"Ramen? Toast? Poptarts?"

"Shepard, we have to prepare a MEAL."

"Ramen is a meal..."

"Are we... Are we trash...?"

At which point, Shepard, in true Shepard fashion, gives up figuring out how to cook, calls in some Italian, and takes Liara upstairs.

Two problems solved in one phone call.

I'm a sucker for those happy endings. Image IPB

Anyone else think Garrus and Tali babysitting for Shep and Liara would be the greatest thing to ever happen to anyone? My heart flutters at the thought.

Nope Auntie Tali and Uncle Garrus can take the little munchkins for a few days and give Shep and Liara a little bit of much deserved alone time, also from what i can tell you're sheps are hopeless mine on the other hand will cook Liara any food she desires even if it means making slabs of chocolate armor and cake.:)

It's ok don't cry I'm sure you can get Asari/Calamari/Gumbo... whatever it was that Gardner made for takeout.  also on the subject of food what types of cuisine do you think that the Asari had,  I don't see them eating all the same food and different areas developing different tastes, much like here on Earth.  I don't see all the Asari eating Gumbo all the time, they have to have developed a light almost Mediteranean fare somewhere as well as a heartier cuisine for the colder areas on their continents or those cut off from fresh seas.   Anyone have any ideas on what different types of Cuisine they have, if not I'm just going to assume Liara likes Southern Italian/Mediteranean food

I imagine that Asari have varying foods like anywhere else. Probably don't have Earthly plants and animals though, so the dishes would be similar, but not the same. I think Liara herself would probably have grown up with finer foods. Things like lobster, calamari, gumbo, itsy bitsy portions of steak (because rich people are weird.)

I hope she likes her streak extremely rare because that's the only way my Shep makes it.

@moreeman My canon Shep is Italian/Irish so not only can she cook, she also knows how to incorporate every alcohol known to man into her cooking.

And Yeah PMC why would you want to not have ..... wait Kilshrek did you call them Little Terrors *audibly gasps and clutches heart*  those little angels... terrors.... never.  They just wanted to play with the Cain for a little bit that's all no harm no foul:devil:

That's a pretty watered down bloodline though, I'm sure the Italian blood will forgive him for not being able to cook as well. My two Italian mates (in uni) can cook pretty well when they want to. Sadly, that isn't very often. Perhaps you can teach me some tricks to guilt trip them into cooking for me? :P

Yeahh, lucky you left the heavy weapons ammo in the locked drawer, or the house may have been in need of some serious redecoration. And anyone who has ever dealt with children between the age of 1 and 3 know that.... well.... once they start growing those teeth, having their mouths near your shoulder, or any other sensitive bit, isn't always the best thing to do... But... cute munchkins are cute munchkins... Still terrors though.

A friend of mine once commented on another friend's steak eating habits,  "You won't eat the thing unless you hear it moo first, will you?"

I don't know i've never seen rich people eat gumbo but yeah i can see Little Liara at a huge dinner table sitting at the opposite end from Benezia

B:  so how was you're day Little Wing
L:  *excited*  I went to the park and i dug up some really interesting.....
B:  Liara what did i say about that little hobby
L:  *stares contemptuously at Benezia*
B:  No dear can you please pass the Salt, and the T'Lobster
L:  sure *Liara uses her biotics and flings both at her mom then storms off to her room*
B:  *burying head in hands*  Teenagers

Because we all know that parents just don't understand and the opposite is true.  Also anyone as smart as Liara probably resented those who had authority over her during her life just because she probably thought she knew everything *note her journal logs and how embarassed she was over making a mistake that she was sure was 3rd age prothean*

I know I have quite a few little cousins that are between 9-15 years age difference from me and I'm more like a really cool Uncle to them than a cousin.  babysitting them at times is horrible.  and sure it can't be that hard to teach someone how to cook i mean i taught my lil sis so she could make something for her BF and it came out pretty well.

Edit:  two things

I don't beleive the Little Wing would ever act out so much. She was probably a depressing teenager. Cute, but kind of shy and difficult to be with. I imagine her during lunch at school. There'd be Asari laughing and talking, and little Liara would be writing in her journal. Then they'd walk over to her and tease her for being pureblood. She probably cried, and ran somewhere to hide. A solitary place that only she knew about.

Me, I'm not Italian but I'd like to think I cook a pretty damn mean bolognese (so vanilla yes, but food? also yes :pinched:) Sometimes the cool uncle is better than the cool cousin. Less backtalk, more paying attention. I dunno bout dressing like a bum, might backfire spectacularly.

Aaanyway, steering this funny talk back to Liara-dom, where all must be blue and true, I figure the first thing Shep needs to learn to "cook" is the humble fried egg. And bacon.

edit : Also, ME abuses lens flare almost as much as JJ Abrams did in Star Trek. Dear God do I need sunnies..

As long as it's real bacon and not that canadian ham, sorry bioware but Liara needs the good stuff :D

And that reminds me of something i read the author basically was comparing skyrim and me3 and said that Skyrim was like a documentary where you could just laze around whereas ME3 was you're high packed sci-fi JJ. Abrams epic.

And yeah they still don't listen much also I'm going off topic again so......

If hypothetically (since we know Liara would never do this) Liara asked you to throw you're next favorite npc out the airlock to make room for her half-hanar sister  on the Normandy would you do it.

I can't help but feeling that players doing this scene with a male Shepard have the advantage since you can at least pretend that he's devoid of skivvies after the fact, at least. Whereas female Shepard's skivvies might as well be grafted to their skin.

Pffft, it ain't bacon unless you can see the strips of fat running through it. Never heard of Canadian ham, having never been near the North American continent. I suppose I should be thankful for small mercies.

Heh, Skyrim is like a David Attenborough doco, and ME 3, well ME 3 is like Star Trek that met LOST's ending. They crossed the streams, they crossed the line. :P

Don't worry, none of my cousins actually listen to me either, so...

And... I'd paragon her, say there's plenty of room on board the Normandy, and promptly tell Allers to pack her bags and make way for Liara's half-sister.

I dislike that I couldn't tell anyone to ****** off, because Shepard belongs to Liara. Sheesh. <_<

Ok just trying to star a new convo no need to get snarky:P,  You're lucky you've never had canadian bacon suffice to say that Liara wouldn't approve

personally i would have offered to just go and off Udina for her
we all know everyone hates him, and i guess we can just get Liara to move up to my cabin and her sister can get her's.  I'll even help her move all the Broker equipment up there, we'll just have to move my ship collection back into storage:D
