Mad people is mad, ignore them. Besides if they're not raging about the ending, then we may actually have some peace around here.

Are we discussing Liara's freckles or what, because I'm lost and have had 2 glasses of wine... it's midnight here in Aus.
We're discussing everything, up to and including Shepard being a big huggy bundle of fluff.

Liara: Uuuh... nothing ... just ... some interference in the signal ... updating our hardware ...

And yeah, moved our clocks as well last WE. Even less sleep than anyway [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
Ooooh, Liara can really get creative after she cuts the line with her agents... Helpless Shepard... dangled in the air... She's in trouble now...

Think depending on your head canon it might be a possibility in the romanced version but why would she do that otherwise?Lizardviking wrote...

The friendly melding is just a new concept to the unbelievers.

I just find it strange that people has such a viewpoint on Liara's character that their first reaction to the gift scene is "She raped me and had a baby!".

I could understand if people had that idea with a romanced Liara. Although I do not personally believe that there was any baby-making during the meld in London (if there was any, it would be before Cronos station).

I don't thinkt hey actually listened to what Liara was saying there anyway. Like I said, mad people is mad. The melding is so many different things, and those people chose to interpret it in the worst possible way is all.
And like I said, I don't think Shepard would want to leave behind a child with only one parent, no matter what she thinks of her parenting skills (change gender as appropriate), and Liara knows the score well enough to not do something as rash as that. She's very level headed, for all the talk of blue babies. Widow and orphan in one? Not on Shepard's watch. Well technically not a widow, but you get the idea.

I could see it as a desparate move with all the deaths and "we may never see each other again" talk going around ... at least one way for Shep to hold his/ her promise. But as I said heavily dependent on how you see their characters.
Also, I don't want to think about this any further ... weather is far too good for another attack of ending depression

Nope Auntie Tali and Uncle Garrus can take the little munchkins for a few days and give Shep and Liara a little bit of much deserved alone time, also from what i can tell you're sheps are hopeless mine on the other hand will cook Liara any food she desires even if it means making slabs of chocolate armor and cake.
does anyone talked about chocolate armor??

and please stop going so fast, i've still 8 pages to read for catching up the thread lol
EDIT: More I saw yout ToP on page 969 haha don't worry, even if you didn't put the title as you said we all know what is it

She never raped my femshep, god I hate the way people throw that word around<_< I felt she was giving my femshep something special.. she bonded, made love magic with me in that scene
It felt deeper for me, I guess people that didnt romance her since me1 or love her like I do feel violated in some way, like they think she is stealing dna to make a baby
Opinions vary.

I'm not surprised this issue came up, or at the idiocy of some haters. I never thought of blue babies during the gift scene.. I thought the thermal colours in the romance scene, were more suspect.

I chose to think of it more like she was telling Shepard than actually making herself pregs. Or at the very least just sharing her favorite memory with him (their first kiss after LOTSB where they finally got to reconnect after two years apart and of mourning and anger on Liara's side either way it like the rest of the interactions with her made my heart flutter:wub:
@Hollow: read faster!!!! and yes i may have mentioned something about making slabs of chocolate armor for Liara:whistle:

She only gets pregnant if you romance her and talked about "those little blue children" there is no way Liara will do anything if you're not in a relationship with her.Lizardviking wrote...

I know... madness and vitaroll lay beyond..
I was thinking blue babies, but I never expected blue babies, if that makes any sort of sense... Mostly because... well... unless the Reaper threat was dealt with, nobody's safe... Which is why Shepard was looking forward to a military retirement, with a nice pension and that little cabin by a mountain lake with Liara. *shakes fist angrily at Bioware*

I didn't expect a happy ending. I did expect Shepard to live but with some serious mental/health issues. Heck there're times in the game where it seems like Liara is the leader, and not Shep.

*pats Killshrek on shoulder* it's ok we all wanted that little cabin in the mountains with Liara *looks forlornly at bioware* But it's ok we all have our own endings to go with. and the blue babies thing makes sense I mean no one would conceive of making babies during a war, but i said i saw it as she was telling him she was pregs at the very most just because to me it would seem like an extra boost to get Shepard going and ready to end this war. You know give him something more to fight for. Because for my Shep atleast *eyes PMC's dormant account waiting for angry anti-bluebabies rant* Having Liara and a little one to care for would have given him a little something extra to get the job done. Or it could just be her sharing her most intimate and loved memory with Shepard. as old Ben Kenobi would say It all depends on you're point of view:D

If you wait to do this after you've locked in the relationship, does the dialogue change at all? Has anyone tried it?

I think there's an excellent dynamic there, they prop each other up when one falters. Certainly PTSD would be a factor, but Liara would have some too, watching her homeworld burn. Nobody's leaving the fight without scars, but having each other... I was just hoping they'd have each other so they could do the same after the war... support each other...

The original trilogy.. *sniff* I'ma crack out the chocolate, alcohol, and watch every single movie that has a happy ending. Even Moon ended better than ME 3. <_<
And... that's certainly one way to look at it. The way I saw it, Liara wouldn't want to burden Shepard with the thought of another life she may be powerless to protect. The cracks were showing, and Liara wanted to support her love, and that meant the old chestnut about little blue babies. Their little joke, and their biggest hope.
