As we have established, I do have some  skillz.

And yes. One does not simply take "seed" material from Shepard. At least, not without asking, but Liara wouldn't need to ask, just, not at that time is all..

I'm gonna watch the first 3 Indiana Jones movies. If I had to play a BroShep, I'd definitely model him after 1980's Harrison Ford. Can anyone say ruggedly handsome?

just enjoying another run of Mass Effect 2, man it is the best out of the trilogy in my opinion

I totally just played through ME 2 again, I kind of wish we could take ME2 and ME3 smush them together and use an ending more like ME2. Where you could lose squad memebers with the choices you make etc, but there could be a possibility, if you worked really hard, to have everyone survive and end up snuggling in your cabin with your LI. (aka Liara :)

I'm really invested in my femShep's relationship with Liara. It gave a crazy new (and shiny) perspective during LOTSB (they sounded like a bickering couple during the car chase scene) and now on ME3 we have great moments... like you talking to Matriarch Aethyta and sounding kinda like _The Talk_ you usually have with your GF's parents.

Just a quick question... how long does it take for Liara to send you a message telling you to meet her on the Citadel? You know, after she shows me the time capsule thingy? Should I do some side missions? Like N7 missions for a while?

just a though but does the meld/dna radomisation have to result in imediate pregnancy or can they hold onto it just incase? never seen or read anything specific on that and is just speculation, and that was "The gift", if you dont survive you will carry on etc.

Work is long and boring today.

Yes, yes i can i even mentioned it a few (20 or so pages back) when we were talking about alt. va for shepard.  Harrison Ford as the scoundrel, the archeologist, and now the Shepard.  Although i don't have anything against Meer but Ford is Ford.  Liara would melt into butter at hearing that voice or seeing that face

Had a question about Liara time capsule:

If you wait to do this after you've locked in the relationship, does the dialogue change at all? Has anyone tried it?

As far as I know there is no branching in that scene. Think Liara's writer confirmed that even earlier in this thread.

And that picture up there reminds me of this:

What great posture! :innocent:

And now I find myself thinking about and sketching Liara's & Shep's house at the lake all the time ... this thread is so bad for my working discipline

hahah indeed this thread can distract people from their work... (aftermaths of that night XD) but you have to do it lol. she's wearing an AR or a heavy pistol?? this is a great posture yeah, and also a great pic man, good job :D

I founded something weird in the armor the first time I saw it lol I though the blue on the legs were her own skin, but now I see it from that perspective I have to say the blue parts are also parts of the armor (looking how they join the black thing on her hips) with that grey band.
Now I love the armor :wub: (and her owner of course lol)

does anyone know if those armor are available for people who didn't get the CE but they purchase the from ashes dlc? I mean they're items we can get on the DLC or they're items exclusives for CE??

going to university right now so I remind all people something important:wub::wub::

EDIT: Liara's so happy we wished her a happy birthday with all those chocolate, cakes and presents:

The original trilogy.. *sniff* I'ma crack out the chocolate, alcohol, and watch every single movie that has a happy ending. Even Moon ended better than ME 3. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]

And... that's certainly one way to look at it. The way I saw it, Liara wouldn't want to burden Shepard with the thought of another life she may be powerless to protect. The cracks were showing, and Liara wanted to support her love, and that meant the old chestnut about little blue babies. Their little joke, and their biggest hope.
*snip*

I laugh when people actually think that scene is rape. Seriously? They are nuts. Even if we all agree that Liara took Shepard’s DNA to make a baby... since when is that considered rape? If I girl pokes a hole in a condemn or lies about taking birth control does she rape her boyfriend? No. It’s wrong if she lies to him, but rape is way too strong of a word. It disturbs me when that’s where people’s minds go.

Anyway, I’d be okay with the theory that Liara could store Shep’s DNA in case she died, but if she lived she wouldn’t have to use it without Shepard’s permission. Also, who knows... maybe, if she did take his/her DNA, that she didn’t let Shepard know she was doing it at the time, they were mind melding. It’d be easy for her to let Shepard know of her intentions without the player knowing for sure.

Ok... rant over. :D

We have established that some people truly are mad. Or as bonkers as can be without being clinically insane. It is a strong word to throw around, and some people really don't know any better. Anyway I don't think it works that way, about asari reproduction. They don't store DNA or anything like that, in fact they take nothing from the partner by way of DNA. It' some space magicky thing that the geneticist in me fails to comprehend. Anyway, end product of mind sex = blue baby. All we need ot know. :P

*ahem* I think it was Shep's prothean links what first intrigued Liara. The voice and looks come as a bonus, but only if you played a BroShep, feature the smooth'n'sexy voice of Mr Ford.

Jennifer Hale is the perfect fit for Shepard, and I really can't think of anyone else to voice FemShep, not after 3 games. Well 2, the 3rd one never happened. *sticks head in sand*

Is it just me, or is the reason for the overwhelming amount of Tali-lovers in ME3 the cause of those who couldn't keep their pants up during ME2? Think about it, let's say 35-40% of all players romance Liara, 35-40% romance Ash, and about 20-30% didn't romance anybody (for various reasons).
My theory is that the people who didn't romance anybody either simply couldn't find themselves romancing anybody, or had plans for ME2. The ones that romanced either Liara or Ash (which must be a majority) got to ME2 and either felt:
1. Betrayed, played or stricken by disloyalty, when both Liara and Ash weren't exactly "easy to come by". A lot of players either didn't know about LotSB (only applies for Liara-fans) or thought of the romances as more shallow, so they went for either Miranda or Tali (for some reason Tali is more popular, I really can't see why), so that they could have their damn sex scene.
2. Hopeful, excited and faithful, as they still thought staying with their ME1 LI's was the best choice. If you did play the LotSB, and still were in love with Liara, you probably came across with the best experience BioWare had to offer, for the people looking for a spiritual relationship beyond that "sweet, innocent, funny, impulsive" fling you can get with Miri or Tali (Tali foremost).
Let's face it, Liara's relationship is the most thought through, most well written and most enjoyable of all the ones you can experience in Mass Effect. The reason she's basicly the only one who can guaranteedly survive the whole series, she is logicly the best one. As I said, I think of all the other romances as too shallow, too sexually impulsive and too easy to trigger. Liara's 3-game stretched relationship is something you have to have patience for. Don't get me wrong, you can have had a romance with Ash the same amount of time, still staying faithful to ME3, and for that I salute the Ashley-fans. However, it's not nearly as enjoyable to basicly get called a traitor on Freedom's Progress, in one short dialogue, as it is to actually work up the relationship once more on Illium, and see exactly how your loved person has changed during the two years she has griefed your death (followed by the best DLC ever).
Hope you found this logical... or something.

Took a look at the codex and it tells us that the asari give their offspring not only one but two sets of genes. One direct copy of their own and one that is somehow altered by the melding.
How that modification works or what happens with the two different DNA strands to form a single new beeing is left in the dark ...
All we know is that at least something has to carry over from father to child. Look at Aethyta and her krogan blood

Omg I'm so glad. My femShep is mostly paragon, a nice girl (sure with a touch of "don't mess with me") so I talk to everyone and I'm afraid that that would lock a romance with someone else. I kinda freaked out, I mean, I spent ME1 and 2 loyal and everything hoping to have this great love story going on beyond life, death, Cerberus, Reapers and everything else.

What I found awesome was using renegate interupt with Matriarch Aethyta saying "NOBODY messes with my girl!" And that gets your approval from her (“Maybe you're good enough for her after all.") I was all "DAMN RIGHT! B)"

I think ME3 made the best choices on how to deal with your background. I find funny and amusing everytime someone teases my Shep about her relationship with Liara (Wrex: “I still don't have a window like Liara does…But maybe that's because I don't kiss as well."). Its like the game aknowledging my choices and it makes me so happy.

Aethyta was teasing Liara. Remember her reaction, "It doesn't work that way"? Someone said way back that they use their partner's nervous system to randomise their second set of DNA, which is not unlike receiving genetic material from the partner, only, not in a physical manner.

Of course, this confuses my mind, because I'm taught to think along the lines of actual genetic inheritence, not.... meta stuff like this.

Or... were you joking? Like how Liara gets teased by Garrus and Vega...

Anyway, I declare Liara's official nickname for Shepard to be Huggy McSnuggleface. No matter how renegade your Shepard is.

Exactly. It's more than that. I mean, I have nothing against free will and people having different opinions, but for even a second, comparing ie the Tali romance to Liara's in terms of depth and spirituality, is just stupid. Have nothing against an Ash/Liara debate, but to bring up Tali, as she in my opinion is a boring and not very fullfilling character, is not right.

Oh they don't do it at once... Vega teases her if you take him along to Eden Prime, and Garrus, well he teases her every now and then, doesn't he? Sur'Kesh?

Blood rage. Poor girl gets teased so often.
