Hmmm, I think.... I wouldn't let Liara get hurt, so I'd tickle Miranda before any damage was done.. but then again, you can only get a very unhealthy camera angle of Miranda's ass if you're playing as FemShep. And... I trusted Liara, though I will say I was slightly jealous of Feron, until I read the comic, and I felt less worried. Punk kid risked his life for Shepard, gotta show some gratitude..

I think Liara wins by default. 

And I am not saying that biasly although it may seem so 

Liara has natural Biotic talent compared to Miranda's manufactured talents. Liara also lived longer so therefore she should have more practice using them. So yeah, I say Liara naturally. Plus The Illusive man could have sent Miranda to save Shepard but thought Liara would be a better idea.

I see where you're coming from. My Shepard was more of the "Whoever is willing to get the job done" type of person so yeah at least Liara was on board with me. The Illusive Man did tell me that Miranda thought I was going to resist. I didn't fully agree with the Illusive Man but we had the same goals.

I didn't know turning Miranda down in ME 3 makes her lose her loyalty. A shame. She survived in my game, everyone who could survive, did, except for Zaeed, the bitter fool.

Pre-ME3 - Very much which is why they were very private about it. Well, at least one of the reasons.

Post-ME3 - There is going to be alot of political storms after the dust settles. Species blaming species, review of Shepard's earlier "the reapers are coming" ignored, etc, etc. Shepard herself will be blasted as we have seen heroes before ... her being with Liara could play into that but on a much smaller scale. It will not be pretty once politicians, attorneys and the media start running the show. No one will be safe from blame. No one.

I wish that there was a choice that said A-discuss B-catfight anf if B was chosen then Shepard (the gamer) got dumped and the two characters hooked up. Now that would have been priceless and alot of people would have had even more stunned looks on their faces than over the ending.

I always save everyone from ME2 but my first run which I did blindly... no spoilers and I just got Mass Effect 2 as a gift with no idea what that was... Jack died because of that freakin' unavailable paragon dialogue option when she was fighting with Miranda.

I suppose part of it is due to the age to which asari live. They become quite pragmatic about relationships.. Although I'll just say I couldn't do anything to make people sad in my ME games, if I could help it, I can't stand a sad Liara at all. Paragon and all that.

Well remember that Liara already dealt with Shepard's death, mourned him and all that, for Miranda it is a fresh thing, plus she has all those insecurities about her father and her sterility etc

Just quickly, I think the lack of VS is more due to their Alliance duties, than any lack of concern for Shepard. Like Adams said, they can't just up and leave their post, no matter how they feel.


Thanks for reading it! Well, I still find it hard to ignore how they were so wary of Shepard in Horizon. I mean, I didn't like Ashley but I was like happy to see her and then I get treated so hostile as a result.

I am probably alone in this but I liked the harsh treatment Kaidan gave my Shep in Horizon, I hated Cerberus since ME1 and being forced to slave for them in ME2 was really though to swallow for me personally, so when Kaidan shows up and chews me out I was relieved that there was someone out there who stood by what he believed (I still think the Alliance would have been able to take out the collectors eventually) 

You are not alone ... I supported both Ashley and Kaidan in their refusal to jump on board. To be honest, I think if they had joined up it would have been a slap to who they were ... Alliance. I struggled with Chakwas being on the Normandy but Joker? Nope. He never really hit me as a corporate guy to be honest. That doesn't mean that he isn't loyal, he just wants to fly. Ground him and he is moving on, which is what he did.

If she still has it up, Persistence of Memory is the big one.  She never finished it, unfortunately (she wound up not liking what it was doing to Miranda), but it got me to see the potential of their relationship.

I've read some of jtav's Miranda/Liara ... I enjoyed them. Both are intelligent, self-controlled and attractive so they might actually work together. Check them out.

But I guess that's one of those moments that again holds so much value in so many different ways to different people, some see it as an acknowledgement of fate.. I chose to see it as that kiss for luck, and, in case I never get to tell you again, I love you... sort of thing. There was doubt, but so many things were riding on the outcome of the battle, not just their future..
