I shamefully admit most of that went over my head.

For example, at the landsmeet the game checks, in order, if the PC is a dwarf or an elf or a mage. If he is neither, he gets to marry Anora. That's bad programming practise because it assumes a lot about the values. If another human origin (or qunari, or whatever) was added later (possibly by a mod) then this would break the script.

I remember taking a quick look through the DA:O scripts back in the day and being kind of shocked. Some of it is pretty lulzy. Not sure which file anymore, but there was a comment admitting that the following for loop was a hack but that that was okay because it "worked."

Yeah, now you just need to get Liara off that and Shepard out of that rubble :innocent:

Indoctrination theory... at this moment this is the only thing we can pray to be real if we wanna see our blue goddess again with shep, either for those who want little blue children or for those who didn't:(

EDIT: @Fingertrip: and I'm a bloody straight man too, so quite difficult for me to being a bloody lesbian :D

I also add ToP since it seems yesikareyes forgot hers:P:P

Nah, Aethyta will build a new ME relay for the sole purpose of reuniting her daughter with Shepard.

Ya know, maybe the asari built relays and didn't tell anyone?  They would do that.

Basically anyone who wants to get back together with Liara is hoping there's some sort of miracle, IT or whatever. The way things stand in the canon, everyone's screwed.

Shepard couldn't ask for a better father-in-law.

I won't be surprised if Asari did something like that... Aethyta? funny thing, I guess she'd do that just for look if the quarter-krogan blood awakens on Liara and she starts headbutting things lol

@kilshrek: yeah that's why I have "faith" in BW. they said we'll have news on April so I'll wait for them. I wasn't here at BSN at that times, but when ME2 was released I'd bet all liaramancers got sad because her 5-minutes-Illium-Cameo .. and they released LotSB.

I know this is different since it affects all romances and history... but I'll keep in mind that BW will make us
shut up when they released whatever they're doing... (okay, now all people here will call me a dreamer lol)

Not necessarily, if you choose the destroy ending:

1 - Shep survives
2 - The Charon relay blows up, but not necessarily the entire network (it is possible that the Charon relay exploded because it was the closest to the epicenter of the explosion, the other relays might have been able to withstand the blast since it was more dissipated when it reached them)

FTL travel to the closest relays after Charon might (or might not) take a while but it is certainly possible, so a ship can be sent to rescue the Normandy survivors in some weeks/months

Which leads us to --> Shepard and Liara reunite and have blue babies :)

I still have no clue how the crashland thing happened in the first place though

But I feel like  after talking about the endings so have some Liara!

It was worse than this back then.

But there was a lot of good analysis/debate over that tiny cameo.

This last bit, and then I'm offski.

I believe the starkid says when you use the energy of the Crucible, it destroys all relays. Now I'm not bothered to go back and watch any of that just so I can report accurately, but I also believe the ending cinematic shows just about every mass relay exploding as well. Why that happens, nobody bothers to explain as well. So... meh.

And DOOM saying about how we were all DOOMED, Liara never did turn into Darth Liara or Bastila 2.0. Which is good since I would have totally thrown my lot in with the kingdom of darkness for her.

Falling to the Darkside with Liara would be worth the scars and evil laugh.

Think I might actually try to get a reasonable night's sleep for a change rather than staying up to silly o'clock in the morning reading this thread. Tomorrow my fanfiction.net account should let me finally post up the first Liara fanfic thing I put together. Patience...

Anyway I've been playing through Mass Effect 1 again from the very start to simultaneously get savegames for every key point through the series, get a bunch of good pictures, to refresh my memory for fanfic and frankly to just enjoy the Liara romance again. Kinda hit a stumbling block in that now I've got Liara I've got the piles upon piles of extra missions to do (all the "gather" assignments for example) so I'm going to do all that before progressing the story to get it out of the way. So not an awful lot of Liara pics so far.

However I did manage to take a few. So have a Liara:
Image IPB

For some reason I really like her expression there. I think she looks as if Shepard has done something really silly and she's looking on as if to say "really?"

Anyway, blue dreams everyone.

Andronic0s, this is right. even chosing the destroy ending (so did I) the Crucible destroyed all relays, and like Kilshrek said, you can see on the ending cinematic how the energy beam is travelling from relay to relay and separating in more beams (seeing that on the perspective of the galaxy map) so at this point we don't have any option but believe shep's isolated and Normandy can't got into Sol System to get him :(

edit: yesikareyes, the Top or Top of Page is some sort of tradition here on the Liara Thread in which the user who starts a new page usually post some liara pics ^_^;)

EDIT2: well since I always play renegade shep, is quite easy for me to fall on the darkside for Liara:devil::devil:

I'm getting nostalgic!

I liked taking Liara to Chora's Den b/c her skin turned weird colors like purple.

Join me Shepard. Together we can rule the galaxy as a couple, an evil couple.

I don't know Liara . . . evil and all it seems . . . wrong.

We'll totally make it all over the place and on everything Shepard, that's what evil couples do.

Saving the Galaxy was too mainstream anyway, let's torch this dump!

I met Liara's father today. That was absolutely incredible.

Also, am I the only one who made Liara wear her helmet in ME1? I didn't want something to happen to her delicate face... :o

Before I posted I rewatched the ending in youtube *shudders* to make sure about this scene, all we see in the galaxy map is the red explosion that kill all AIs we do not see the relays explode, and since the Starchild is the Creator and Leader of the reapers, I think it is unwise to trust him at his word.

Speculation for everyone! :wizard:

Well that's a better solution to a problem than synthesis.

ya know, I would like to believe you, really, but I can't. the red/blue/gren explosion starts on charon relay, and it is suposed goin though every relay, which we see on the galaxy map (it would be insane showing us every relay exploding when we have the mechanic while seeing charon) so yeah, i'm pretty sure mass relays got destroyed.

I agree what you said for Starchild, but I think at this moment he didn't lied, because he's an AI too and he doesn't want to be destroyed.. would you? Remind how he tried persuade shep to chose either control or synthesis, since in both of them AIs still exists either controlled by shep, either merged with organics, but not in destroying one... at least that's how I see it:crying:

Logan it's worse in ME2 and ME3 with that face mask. That is so freaking unbelievable it's horrible. Especially like on the Shadow Broker's ship exposed to such elements and the tearing winds would rip the skin right from her face.

Or on mars where there is no atmosphere in the first place. How can her skin and eyes not be shriveling up in her head?

Sorry but at least in ME1 where a helmet was required to be worn she wore one and was more believable than what we got in ME2 and ME3.
