Yeah, she's not appearing for me even though I was quite friendly to her in ME2 and she survived - apparently you needed to have had dinner with her, which is a strange decision to make.

I hoping it's a bug, Which is why she is not appearing for allot of people.

Yeah, I'm going to be stalling and doing a bunch of side missions while I wait for Bioware to fix this - I want to talk to old friends...

This isn’t a bug.  When Kelly has dinner with Shepard in ME2, she becomes very close to the Commander in
either a friendly or romantic way.  This was a requirement for her to feed Shepard’s fish or for her to come up to Shepard’s cabin after the suicide mission.  This closeness to Shepard is what gives her the perspective and courage to leave Cerberus and start a new life helping refugees on the Citadel.  If you didn’t take her relationship to the point of the dinner scene in ME2, she returned to Cerberus with the rest of the crew when the Alliance impounded the Normandy.

Damn, I always avoided that because the only way to get there was flirting and I didn't even want to get a romance started - I guess I'll have to wait for the save editor to be updated so I can insert her into future playthroughs.

So in other words, it is implied that Kelly and the rest of the crew from ME2 dies/"changed off screen, when Cerberus gets even more "evil" in Mass Effect 3, like the rest? If so, I might have to replay ME2 again, because I didn't romance Kelly , while a had a real romance, such as my Tali romance playthrough.

Also , thanks for the support for Kelly as romance. Not to sound ungrateful, but I hoped she would have had more screen time. From the leaked script it seems many things got cut.  I hope Bioware really does a romance DLC pack one day.

Should be available for those who was able to save her on ME2. (or if you import your ME2 save)

Only if you had dinner with her during that save.

So here were my conditions for the Kelly romance...

...I made it a point in ME2 to always talk to her after ever recruit or loyalty mission...

(TANGENT FOR BIOWARE PEEPS: In Mass Effect 2, I noticed that at some point during the loyalty missions, Kelly and Joker both stop giving feedback on the missions, probably about 3 or 4 into them. They just revert to their default conversation starts. Is this a bug or did I randomly do the only few missions they actually remark upon?)

Eventually, this prompts the chance to have dinner with her up in your cabin. Took that choice, got her to feed the fish.

Now...in my game, I romanced Miranda, but way back right after Mass Effect 2, I was asking after Kelly for ME3!

http://social.biowar...05/index/968848

As everyone in this thread knows, for a while it sounded like she would be romanceable. I booted up my ME2 save, ditched Miranda, prompted Kelly's email, invited her up for drinks and dancing, and was sure to talk with her at least once after that. That was going to be my import.

Right near game's launch, as we all know, it suddenly sounded like she wouldn't be romanceable and perhaps wasn't even in the game. Sad face. When I went to import my save, my import points said "Romanced no one in ME2" (or something like that), completely discounting my time with Miranda. That put me in a tough spot of either reverting to a Miranda profile or rolling the dice. At the end of the day, I decided to take a leap of faith and import a character that best reflected my sensibilities.

Suffice to say, I am glad I did.

You find Kelly in the docking area with all the refugees. This area was accessible to me upon my second visit to the citadel and after triggering the area through a few conversations. In one of the first conversations, you have a choice of either encouraging her to help with refugees or make sure she covers her tracks from Cerberus. You must absolutely choose the latter option. Doing this ensures her survival later on when Cerberus comes looking for her.

After that, it's just a matter of visiting her and talking with her. You may need to not be in romance with anyone (I wasn't), but eventually there's a dialogue about having someone to love during times like this.  This happens post-Cerberus attack on the Citadel.  It's up to you to decide what to say in return.   Presuming you say that it is her that you want, this unlocks the Paramour achievement/trophy.  After that, she gives you a picture of herself to keep in your office. I'm only just past that, so I don't know what more there is, but so far, so good.

So:

ME2: Talk with Kelly after missions, have dinner with her, save her from the Collectors, console her after recovery, invite her up to your room for cuddle time.

ME3: Find her in docking bays, insist that she get herself new credentials, be sure to visit her regularly.  Rekindling your romance with Kelly unlocks the Paramour achievement.

Does anyone know if completing the romance with Kelly unlocks the paramour achievement?

Just curious and for reference to know if I'll have to continue with a different LI to get it.

Wait dose this mean Kelly is a LI? If you save her on the Citadel?

I imagine that you had to console her and call her up after the suicide mission in ME2 to get the romance dialogue with her, although honestly I don't know for sure.

I can only speak for myself, but I imported a Shepard who had a romance with Kelly, and I didn't unlock the Paramour achievement. I had to romance someone else for the achievement. It's possible either I did something wrong or didn't visit her often enough, or Kelly's not a "Paramour" romance.

Happy news, everyone! Kelly is a LI, as in unlocks the paramour achievement. Can't elaborate now, but if you kept her alive past events on the citadel and imported a save with her romance from ME2, then you have what we all wanted. Cannot adequately describe how happy I am!

Awesome news. <3

Though I picked the wrong dialogue so apparently she is going to die now. <_< Oh well I will get it right from here on out and luckily this isn't the one I romanced her in anyway.

Did you have the dinner with her in that playthrough, though?

Yep...so does that change the outcome?

That's great to hear, just made my Shepard a very happy girl. I've been looking online and never see her mentioned in the Paramour guides but I guess since she's not in the squad or on the Normandy, they don't bother following up with her. Should probably be added to the ME wiki so other Kellymancers wil know.l

My question is do you just need the dinner or does see have to do the dance - because you can get the dinner easily and miss the into aliens dialogue later on to get her to comeup to the cabin...I got the dinner but did not get the romance option in ME3...

more Kelly Dialogue:

Samantha (on Vid-call w/Kelly): Thanks for giving me this time Miss Chambers, or is it Miss Hannigan?
Kelly: You can call me Kelly. Anyways, what do you want Miss Traynor?
Samantha: Just wondering, i managed to get Shepard to join me in the Shower, so, i want to know, how to keep her interested in me?
Kelly: She likes smart, funny, friendly, attractive, and independent women, so i suggest doing things you know you both like, maybe take her on a date or something.
Samantha: Thanks, Kelly, if you do not mind helping me find activities that She likes...
Kelly: She does like music, so maybe find a guitar to buy her
Samantha:What?
Kelly: Oh, she used to play a little during her childhood.
Samantha: That is a great idea. Thanks for the help.
Kelly: No problem, now I need to get back to helping Refugees.
Samantha: See you later, Kelly.
Kelly: See you around, Samantha.

I didn't even know this was an option. I picked one of the renegade responses and made her cry because I didn't want paragon points. I reloaded and did it over. Success...

She didn't count for ME 2 and I didn't want my fish to die so I did the stuff with her. Didn't think she'd count this time either.

Question:

If I choose to go for Ashley, should I not go after a relationship with Kelly?

I know it seems a silly thing to ask, but will it carry out like in ME2 (minus sexy dancing) where it is considered open, or will it be considered an exclusive relationship?

The reason why I am so nervous about this is because in the game I want to go after Ashley, but I am now at the relationship portion (the Do You Want to Romance Me part).  I am fearful that there will be no more interactions if I pick no (eg cutscene convos) but I want to pursue Ashley.

I apologize for being confused and asking a funky question, but there is nothing online that answers this (even the Mass Effect Wiki....heck the wiki doesnt even mention her being an option)

Damn I am getting too invested in this series......................and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am glad we got Kelly back in ME3 I do wish she would have been given more sreen time and Scenes.

I would buy a Romance DLC if Bioware ever created one especially for Mass Effect 3 because you could flesh out the existing Options and maybe add a few new ones as well like Kasumi Goto and maybe Gianna Parasini.

I had seen the Leaked Script and was a little dissapointed that they cut alot of Kelly's Content I had always said that the one thing they should have done with Kelly was make it an option for her to be brought aboard the Normandy.
And she could have shared the Captions Quarters with Shepard..

I don't get it. Ok so, you have to take Kelly to dinner in order to see her in Mass Effect 3 , right? I have many game saves from Mass Effect 2. The two that stand out are my romance loyal Ashley and loyal Liara.

I mention these two playthroughs because . I can invite Kelly up to my cabin in my Liara playthrough. In my Ashley playthrough, I didn't get the option (I avoided this on purpose) to invite her up, just in case Bioware changed Kelly into a real serious LI. On my loyal import with Ashley from Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3, Kelly was in. I am confused, on the requiments to get Kelly in Mass Effect 3.

I am saying this now because, my female playthrough, didn't have Kelly at the docks. Bioware should just patch the game to the point Kelly leaves Cerberus by default. All the player has to do is make sure she makes it out of the Collector base.
