Actually, no.

The ways she can die are varied and unpleasant.  If she survives to ME3, if you speak rudely to her, she becomes depressed and takes a suicide pill.  If you don't tell her to change her identity, Cerberus shoots her point blank in the head.

People who do that are mean people.

They deserve no cookies!

If they decide to do wny DLC with the Citadel I'd expect Kelly to play a large part. Of course a DLC consisting of nothing but the chance to hug Kelly would be fine as well

IGiven that number of ways that Kelly can die, including the implied death on the Citadel I've wondered, and I've seen other people voice simliar ideas, that Biwoare doesn't care for Kelly. It's an exggeration but the treatment she gets does stand out.

Hmmm, my LI is Liara but in ME2 I did get to invite Kelly up to my room. In ME3 Shepard and Kelly did their business in the crate and Kelly gave Shepard her picture. Liara hasn't said anything about it so far and I just rescued Legion from the dreadnaught. Will seeing Kelly on the side tick off Liara?

I don't think you can romance Liara. Most romances lock you out of any of the others once activated. I assume Kelly's is the same.

OK. Can someone tell me what the hell am I doing wrong? I told Kelly I would catch her, I was nice all time and gave her a hug after Collector Ship, and there's no friendly dinner for me anywhere on the horizon. I've already finished Suicide Mission AND LOTSB. Seriously, what did I miss?

Hmm checked some sites and it says there is a bug that sometimes affects FemShep and the dialogue doesn't come up as it should, so dunno if you are experiencing that problem?

I play mShep. Is the dinner restricted only to Sheps that told her they would "embrace her"? Instead of just friendly catch her? Even though she said I'm her friend and I even hugged her?

I can't remember exactly (been too long) but during the conversations with her there are certain replies that you have to give and if you give a single wrong one, then it messes the whole thing up and you don't get the dinner or the subsequent e-mail. One reason why I had a save before each time I talked with her just in case I messed up.

I think you probably had to say embrace - sounds like you ended up in the friend zone

No you can have the dinner with picking the catch rather then the embrace option. You have to speak to her after each recrutiment mission, including Kasumi and Zaeed, and the plot missions.

I did... I spoke to her whenevr I could, after each quest, even the tiniest one... If got the option to hug her, then I assume I was on the right path no?

All my Sheps are gay, so they're not romancing anyone in ME1/ME2. Definitely can't be this bug

Yes it can. My Shepard didn't romance anyone before I found that bug. You can be flagged as in a romance even if you haven't done anything.

As I wrote, I had to actually start the romance with Jacob then end it a minute later before Kelly would go forward.

Yeah, I plan on getting another picture each time the artist opens commissions, assuming I have the money and can get a slot. I plan on just using him for the series since I started it with him. I got plenty of ideas so there will hopefully be many more to come.

Resurrecting this thread, I have PMed Shadowscythe85 details on big plans that are going down.

EDIT, Samantha should have been the character players have to deal with for letting Kelly die. She sure as hell seemed like a punishment character, uptight all the damn time, with her "Sir, if you have moment sir"

I made sure Kelly never died, and Samantha felt like a punishment for something I did or didn't do.

I want Kelly Chambers back.

I feel sad in a way. In my playthrough, poor Kelly was melted in ME2. It was sad to see her die in that kind of manner. What's even worse is that, from what I've read so far, you HAVE to invite her up to your cabin for dinner in 2 to see her in 3. It's sad considering I would NEVER have a dinner with another woman except for Tali, and except if it was for a group event, per se. So in a sense, for me, Kelly dies off after 2. Whether it's from being melted or if she 'disappears' from cerberus is up to me.

I hope Kelly has more lines in the EC. That cut conversation about her past as a slave and with Cerberus was an excellent piece of writing that I would like to see implemented in the game.
