Since there wont be any new LI for ME3, the Alliance doesnt trust Cerberus and Kelly may die in ME2 i guess we wont see her again in ME3 :-( Its a shame, i agree. Shepley fans got ****ed in ME2 and Kelly fans will get ****ed in ME3. Thats the BW way i guess.

But everyone can die in ME2... By that logic we wouldn't be able to have a romance with anyone but Liara and the Vermire survivor. Woudn't that be a fun filled thrill ride?

It stands to reason that if Jacob and Miranda can "quit" at the end of ME2, and theoretically return in ME3, then there's no reason Kelly couldn't do the same.

Casey Hudson tweeted that there will be some new LI:s in ME3 so who knows.

As much as i would appreciate it (since there is no good fem-fem LI in ME1 / 2) i just dont believe Bioware is going to integrate a Kelly LI. Be realistic, Kelly existed to compensate the "sex sells" aspect for those who decided to stay loyal to their ME1 LI. Thats why she doesnt count as a real romance. And since all ME1 LIs will return in ME3 as full squadmates there is just no further need for someone like Kelly. I realy hate to break it to you, and i support the group, but i dont think we will get more than some kind of mail from Kelly.

I'd rather get nothing then if all they offer is a email. Still she could serve the same purpose as before, you could be right but BW doesn't have a good reason to leave her out. They can do so because they decide to but we know games are made or broken by decisions.

Now I'm not saying leaving out Kelly will break the game, it won't at all. But keeping her in adds up the reasons for someone who likes the character to buy the game. Leaving her out further reinforces the notion that BW falling short when they say the choices you make in ME matter and carry over to the next game. So many choices in me1 were resolved(or not resolved) and referenced to by email in me2. So choices in me2 a game not perfect by any means need to matter in me3 the game that's suppose(we will see spinoffs) to be the finale.

Everything should be resolved and not just saving the galaxy against sentient space faring dreadnoughts with pistols and machine gun combat. I am of the opinion me3 will be a disappointment if that's all it is.

Since afaik none of the devs have ever said Kelly was "for those who stayed faithful to their ME1 romances", and the things said by the devs who actually worked on Kelly contradict that notion, I'm afraid all you're "breaking to people" is your own presumably baseless assumption.

I disagree. That is an awful lot of effort the player must expel if Kelly is merely a respite to Shepard’s love interest from the original Mass Effect.
 
It is my interpretation that developers seek to reward players for the choices their choices throughout the series, the effort both to romance Kelly as well as to save her I expect will also be rewarded.

Please dont get me wrong guys. If i say she wont play a role in ME3 i realy wish i am wrong. I promise And even if i am and will be always a Shepley fan, Kelly is still the one and only alternative to my sweetheart female soldier. I think Bioware put a lot of work into the relation between any Shepard and Kelly. More dialogue and flirting on board the SR2 than with any real LI from ME2. And more animations after the final fight. I have been realy pissed when i realized Kelly wont be a LI, i started with ME2 and liked her the moment i first met her. But i still dont know about any serious source that Kelly will return as a LI in ME3. So convince me, i will appreciate it with a chocolate Krogan battlemaster

Well, the Devs did say every character important to us would appear. She meant alot to Janice and Helena Shepard. So let's hope she returns as a fully recognized LI in ME3.

I think her repeatable dancing is worth more "sex sells points" than this single "go time" with other LI. Combined with the additional dialogues due to some quests even after the final mission she feels more to be the type of a serious relationship than those one night stands with other characters.

Maybe Anderson could pull some strings but other than as a suspiciously viewed crew member on the Normandy by Alliance members, I cannot think of any other way Kelly would be included.
Which is a shame when you think about how tricky it is to set up a relationship with her. Only to have it end before it starts in ME3....hmm, nah, someone will figure it out

I'm very afraid of what they're going to do to my Normandy and it's crew. They reclaim the Normandy as they believe it to be their ship. The trial where they take it is interrupted so I'm not sure how much of it is gonna change or where the (cerberus) crew is gonna be. I'm hoping Councilor Anderson will be able to helps us out, but I guess we won't know until we play.

I am pretty sure that a Spectre can pull some strings to get someone off that is technically only guilty of what she did. She can vouch that asari are not geth so she can probably say a perky omnisexual is not a terrorist.

If the Alliance allows a renegade Shepard and/or Garrus on board the Normandy then I don't think they'd have any problems with a sweet yeoman with a psych degree.

The achievement was for romancing a squadmember, which Kelly was not.

A personal quest is not a prerequisite for a romance.

It is too early in development for Kelly to be confirmed as she is not part of the main plot.  She is a side character.  Not that that says anything about potential romance status, but she is not vital content.

Voice actor statements don't mean much, especially at this stage.

Kelly's romance in ME2, actually much of her content was added in as a labor of love.  She, Gardner, and Ken and Gabby were added in to try and make Shepard care about the Normandy crew.  Ken was even originally planned to be a similar romance to Kelly.  So they had fewer resources to work with for them, which imo makes it all the more impressive that she is so well written.

I have no doubt that Kelly will be in ME3.  The only thing I don't know is whether or not the decision-makers on the dev team care enough to allocate resources to her.  Worst case scenario will be a cameo, and I think even a cameo can be good enough to acknowledge a romance, especially since other romances will also likely be cameos.
